Coming here was certainly a treat. The venue is not far from my home in Mineola (which is also a positive.) A very easy ride and I self parked in the large lot behind the CC. I love photographing smaller (under 250 people) events. It almost like you get to meet all the guests and picture taking becomes almost personal. This venue is large enough for that party and easy to navigate while photographing people in the different rooms. The team here is AMAZING. They were all incredibly helpful and friendly. My group shot (picture displayed) was different than I expected and they were kind enough to give me an oversized ladder to use. Food was terrific. Fresh and tasty... What needed to be hot was... and what needed to be cold was just that. There was plenty of food and I'm very confident that no one could have left hungry. There is a certainty an intimacy when the team and party goers can work so close together. You can see from the other five star reviews that my opinions are shared by many others. This venue is a winner. KUDOs to the team at the Stewart Manor Country Club.

I had been to the venue twice before--my sister got married here and a friend had a bridal shower--so I already knew it was beautiful. But hosting our wedding here was something truly special. From the very first meeting, the staff made us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely confident that our day would be in good hands. The venue itself is gorgeous with a warm, slightly rustic, homey charm, but the real standout is the staff. They are some of the kindest, most accommodating people you will ever meet. We didn't even bother touring other venues because we just knew this was the place--and we were 100% right. We worked mostly with James and John, who ran our wedding, and they were both phenomenal. James in particular deserves all the praise in the world. He handles so many details behind the scenes and somehow always seems to be in the exact place you need him. He listened closely to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make everything perfect. He was even completely prepared for emergencies, pulling out Advil at one point and a tide pen at another... and right before our ceremony, my husband accidentally got water on his vest. James took it, dried it, and brought it back looking perfect just in time. It was such a small moment, but it speaks volumes about how dedicated he is. By the end of the night, it honestly felt like James and John were family. We're already joking about finding excuses to go back just to say hello. If you're considering this venue--stop considering and just BOOK IT! Stewart Manor Country Club is outstanding in every way: the staff, the service, the atmosphere, the care, the experience. We couldn't recommend them more.

That's why I was genuinely surprised and disappointed by how my recent visit to Engineers Country Club was handled. I visited as a prospective member, sincerely interested in what the club had to offer. However, expectations around prior golf experience and etiquette were not communicated in advance. My experience has mostly been recreational (e.g., Topgolf), and had I known that a higher level of familiarity was expected, I would have welcomed the opportunity to take etiquette lessons or ask questions beforehand. Instead, I was informed after the fact that staff had seen us on the course and complained. At no point did anyone approach us directly to explain any concerns until after the fact. We were told we might be perceived as "fooling around," though that phrase was never defined, and notably, there was only one other member or guest visible on the course at the time, far away from our golf cart. The implication that our presence was disruptive felt both unclear and unfair. There was also confusion about attire. It was implied that women's dresses for golfing were not acceptable, though that wasn't clarified in advance and wasn't addressed with us in real time. The experience lacked the transparency and hospitality that prospective members deserve. A brief orientation or a simple, respectful conversation could have made a meaningful difference. I hope this feedback helps the club reflect on how it welcomes and communicates with future visitors who come in good faith and with a genuine desire to be part of the community.

I say that because after 20yrs, I've experienced a lot. Some bad, some good. The Teamsters Union is North America's strongest and most diverse labor union. I belong to this local, Local 282. Without going into specifics 2017 was an extremely rough year for me. Because of circumstances out of my control I had to find work in the twilight of my career. Now I know many people have had to do the same. But what makes my circumstances different is I am a unicorn in a pasture full of thoroughbred stallions. What I mean is, being a female in the heavy construction truck driving industry in NY is almost mythical. There aren't many of us. If any on Long Island. And in this age of Me Too, my experience is completely different! It's the big boys club for real! A crew of Manly Men. The conversation is always about engine size, stacks, motorcycles, drag racing & such. Who's truck got chromed out. Who hauled the biggest machine. You get the picture. Then there's me! LOL But in my time of need my "Brothers" rallied around me like storm troopers & helped me out in any way they could. I made phone calls & they gave me numbers. I received phone calls on companies that needed a driver. One day at a time. I regained my footing. What really helped was going to the meetings every month. I was able to meet several guys I didn't know before & an amazing shop steward M.A. who truly epitomizes what it means to be a Teamster in this union. This union allowed me to make a great living, buy a home by myself, raise my son without any outside help, have a great pension (remember those?) & forge great friendships with fellow members, all with just a High School education! For me, this is The American Dream! 1-26-2018

They had plenty of outdoor seating in their patio area which faces their golf course. We ordered some bottles of wine for the table, and then placed our food orders. As my entree I ordered their branzino which came with vegetables and sweet potato fries. The branzino was perfectly cooked and so good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We definitely left with full bellies! I can't really say anyone in the area should come here as you need a membership, but I had a great experience and look forward to returning!

This was the third time I had played Cherry Valley Golf Club in the last three years as a guest. I found the course sometimes challenging especially when I am trying to find my ball in the long fescue rough. Also they have well protected greens with some difficult bunkers. But overall the course beauty off set its difficult play. We had lunch in the new renovated Members guest grill room seated at the bar area that faced the ninth hole. The restaurant walls and floor were in the traditional wood you would find in most Golf Country Clubs. We ordered a salad with Salmon Fish Taco's and Grill Chicken over salad. Overall lunch was okay but the bartender was Frank was great.
