I took my car in to have them look at it. I was expecting to have to replace my ABS control module, which is a very expensive repair. Had I gone to the dealership, that's probably what they would have wanted to do, but Mr. John (I think that was his name) looked it over and it turned out it was just a bad sensor. He replaced it for a very reasonable price, I thought, and he was very pleasant to communicate with. Good experience all around. read more

We were traveling home from a little trip when an 18 wheeler going the opposite direction had a blow out. We were both traveling at least 75 mph (the speed limit). The force of the blow out damaged the protective under panel on our vehicle. We weren't sure at the time what the damage was but we kept hearing scraping of metal under the car as we continued down the highway. Stopped in at Elkhart automotive because we certainly didn't want to cause any more damage to our car. Johnny, the owner of the shop immediately stopped what he was doing to help us. He pulled our car into the gargage and wired the under panel so it would no longer drag and we could continue our journey home. He didn't charge us a penny and we were so THANKFUL for his help. if you are female, do not use this place. if you are not someone with mechanical skills, an important person in town, or not a BIG man, do not go here. you will be cheated! lied to ! and overcharged! this is a pattern with this horrible place. Ruth the wife is a liar, always lying! husband lets her do the dirty work, but he is just as bad. they will lie and tell you that you need work that u do not. they will rig things and you will then break down, so they can get more work! i dont know how they are doing business! additionally-***they took down their google reviews, why cuz there was a scathing one there, and that lady was dead set on reporting her story. same story as mine! BAD SHOP! also they have fixed their facebook page to not show reviews, why cuz if you look at it it appears they are a wonderful family business. if you wanted to write your bad experience it wont show up. how is that for dishonest. they even had over 1/3rd of the reviews that did give them 5 stars all fakes. all the people who wrote them were people who had never posted reviews on google before? and what...they just were so happy with this shops work they started to be review writers? i think not! always pay close attention to bad reviews. they are prob the ones that will show you the truth! read more
