We had a wonderful experience! My one year old daughter learned to find air and float. I was really happy with the results and with our experience.

I was skeptical if they would even get to the point of feeling comfortable in the water with Dana, to be honest.

I arrived with my girlfriend in a lot I've passed hundreds of times probably, and been in onl a few. And this was the forst time that ai even knew this swim center even existed; tucked away in the back right corner next to Baguettes bakery. Once we entered once of the staff asked for our names which I wasn't sure why at first, but then later realized it was for some registration. We told them we were going to be swimming but we had to fill out a registration form anyways. Maybe it was for insurance purposes, but I was told there was a max number of people who could be there which I thought was off, that guests could/would be capped. Or maybe there was more charges for larger groups, which is weird since you have the pool scheduled for your party, so size should matter. The pool consisted of 4 lanes if I remember correctly, with a length of maybe 25 meters and a depth a 5 ft max. There is a nice gazebo type area to the far back where full shade is provided, and have a number of picnic tables to sit out. And on the side of the pool, opposite of the staff area, there were several more table with large umbrellas to sit under out of the sun. Our party was from 1-4 and was also told we had to be out by 4:15 otherwise there would be additional charger. So we had to help packed up a little early and rush to get all of our stuff out before 4:15, so that additional charge wasn't incurred. Overall: The kids definitely had fun whoch was a plus, but the logistics to rent the place could be a lot better in my opinion. Minus some of those additional charges and rush to be in and out of this facility.

Was about to leave when another parent arrived and they said it was unusual for them to have a Sunday class but he was given that date as well. No one showed and before then my wife had made multiple attempts to call during the week to make sure they would be open for Easter and no one ever answered her calls. Pretty lousy planning and customer care. Will be asking for a refund and finding a new swimming class.

I paid $3 per head and we stayed for about 3 hours, 12-3 pm. Perfect peak hours of a summer day. This CSD aquatic center is smaller than the other two in Elk Grove, but this one does have a waterslide! (not quite as large as the new CSD aquatic center) That was a plus for all of our kids. The height requirement for this is 42". What I also enjoyed at this facility is they don't strongly enforce for your kids to wear a life jacket if they are smaller and/or don't appear as strong swimmers. Don't stress though, they still have plenty of active lifeguards on duty. And those lifejackets are provided if they are needed. The downsides about this place are: 1. No snack bar - but they do allow you to bring outside food and drinks in 2. No kiddie swimming area for toddlers/younger kids to roam freely 3. Bathrooms aren't as well maintained -no toilet seat covers -low on toilet paper -toilet paper on the ground where it's wet from people tracking in water

We've had multiple occasions with last minute cancelations, changing instructors, and changing area's in the pool. It's annoying. No supervisors to talk to, only the front desk who can't really answer questions or handle anything which is understandable because they're young. On 11/7/2025 @ 6:30pm Narely held my 5 year old autistic daughter too close to the water. She got some water in her mouth, started coughing, then threw up. Narely panicked and said she needed to get out 5 minutes into her 30 minute session. We understand she needed to clean it up, but she wasn't very clear the entire session was going to end. There was another instructor with another boy who cleaned it up but Narely made EVERYONE get out. My autistic daughter and most autistic kids don't do well with ending preferred activities suddenly. My daughter started having a meltdown in the pool and started hitting/kicking Narely and Narely couldn't really get my daughter out of the pool to us. This is dangerous not only for my daughter but for Narely as well. Their general manager Mikayla sent condescending emails back and forth about their accommodations. If you're going to take government funding for special needs children, you should use the money to train your management and staff on how to accommodate for them. It's unfortunate because my daughter loved swimming and autistic kids are more drawn to water so they need to learn water safety skills.

This is an honest review that I am leaving about Safe Splash Swim School on Longport Court in Elk…read moreGrove, California. Me and my cousin were committed over 3 months for our 2 boys to learn how to swim. They attended 11 group lessons. Each class had 4 kids total in it, and it was 30 minutes per session. So it was our 2 boys and 2 other kids, which also rotated. We were really hopeful going in, but honestly, it turned into a big disaster and disappointment. The biggest issue is how often the instructors changed or rotated. Our boys had at least 6 different instructors during those 11 classes. Some were only there for 1 class, and the next week, someone totally new would be teaching. There was no consistency, and the boys never had a chance to get comfortable or build any trust with their instructors/substitutes. It felt like starting over every single week. 1 class even got canceled because no one was available to teach it that day. The rest of the time, it was mostly substitutes. Barely ever the same instructor two times in a row. Towards the last month of our program, the last payment that we made, they changed our time slot after we had already paid and said 3:00 PM would be the new time, getting rid of the 1:00 PM time slot that we were originally scheduled for, without real notice. When we asked for a refund because the time slot didn't work around our work schedules, they only offered us a 20% refund even though we had a full month of lessons left on top of our make up token for them cancelling class the week before. That didn't sit right with us at all. We were stuck with these classes, so we just had to finish them out. On top of that, they said their instructor was no longer available, so they assigned them to a new instructor (a worker said he wanted to play baseball for the summer instead). Again, we never saw the new assigned instructor. It was a substitute the first week, a substitute the second week, a substitute the third week, and then finally on week 4 our last class we got to see the actual new instructor. Then on top of all that, they raised the price without any warning. Between the first and second payment, they just added $20. We showed up one day and they told us about the price increase right then -- no email, no heads up, nothing. Another issue is that all the instructors were teenagers between 17 and 19 years old. Some had just graduated from Laguna Creek High School in June. These high school kids were expected to manage 4 small children in the pool at once between ages 6 and 10 and teach them how to swim in just 30 minutes per session. You could tell a lot of the teenage kids were overwhelmed and getting frustrated. It was too much to expect them to handle 4 small children in a swimming pool that don't know how to swim. We paid $90 on April 5th, $150 on May 6th, and $125 on May 26th. That's a total of $365. After all that, our boys still don't know how to swim. It's frustrating and we regret spending so much time and money with no real results. I have now moved over to Elk Grove Aquatic Center. They offer private lessons at a better price, 4 days in a row consecutively, with way more structure and consistency. I wish we had started there in the first place. If you're looking for actual progress and dependable swimming instruction, I wouldn't recommend Safe Splash, Longport Court, Elk Grove, California location. It just wasn't worth it and it was such a waste of time for my son and a waste of my money.

The showers are the same, but might've had a deep clean, we've not been here in months, but some noticeable improvements seem to be there in the women's bathroom. But the shower area floors (and the hallways leading to the showers) were soaking wet and truly a safety issue, a major slip and fall hazard which is quite concerning. No staff was seen in the women's locker room at all in the 1.5-2 hours I was there changing, then going to work out and then coming back to shower, etc. Staff at front desk was welcoming, but didn't see any staff cleaning at all, and janitorial staff (assuming there are some at this huge location) can't keep up and/or have not done a thorough job. It's always crowded here regardless of time of day and so the cleanliness is a huge issue. Dropping off the younger one to the kids' club, there was nothing really for him to do since there's no basketball hoop (kids sized or one of those portable ones filled w/sand/water in the bottom) and there's only that indoor play structure/netted cubes thing that he's outgrown, so he ended up reading while we worked out which kind of defeated the purposes for him to go exercise. In the back, there's the swimming pool which certainly is big and there several of them, people do their lap swimming here, and there's a more recreation pool too, so that's another nice feature in the warmer months and those are frequently packed. B/C of this the floor is even more wet in spring through fall months when the pools are open, so maybe more mopping up every couple of hours or for a staff to check or even just leave a mop for members to mop up the wet floor is a good idea so people don't slip and fall in the locker rooms. Overall, some slight improvements since our last visit, but can still use more consistent cleaning and upkeep.
