I will start by saying the food is good. I just don't think it's good enough to up charge on condiments I can understand passing on the credit card surcharge to customers but I'm just not willing to pay a premium for mayo and ketchup!!

It's similar to Bill's Pizza which is a tradition nearby as well. I've heard it's some kind of Midwestern Tavern style but I don't know it's origin. What I do know is there is not much like it in North Carolina or even around the south. Some people don't fall in love with it for some reason but if you like it, there is nothing else that hits the same spot as Sir Pizza, you will be back. The Siler City location isn't the best location to get Sir Pizza but it's consistent and generally pretty good. The crust here is a little thicker than at the older locations. It don't know if that's a choice or just something that happens here but in this pizza it does make a (negative) difference. However, even not being as good as the locations elsewhere in the area, it's still Sir Pizza and it's a 5 star all the time in my book. The pizza is great: if you like loaded up toppings get one of the meat or veggie lovers and you will be happy. If you aren't into pizza, the spaghetti is kind of unique to Sir Pizza but is a really tasty treat as well. It's pretty American so don't expect a very Italian spaghetti dish, and if you understand that I think you will like it.

The vibes are intimate and cozy, and I'm so glad I made a reservation because even on a Tuesday night, the whole place was full, and people kept coming throughout the evening. There's a few smaller tables and a bar overlooking an open kitchen. Bonus vibes points for the fresh flowers on the tables. The menu is Italian with a small, focused menu. We started with the focaccia bread, and wow, it was pillowy and melt in your mouth good. The butter that accompanies it was a warm hug that brought the whole thing together. Otherwise, we ordered a few other dishes. The waitress was really kind and helped us ensure that everything we got was vegetarian. We ordered the linguini vegetarian, rigatoni, and the gnocchi. All were very flavorful and rich tasting.

We started with the beets, focaccia with whipped herb butter and a glass of wine--simple, fresh, and a great way to start the meal (the focaccia is a must order and the herb butter was worth the $1 upgrade). For our entrées, he had the mafalde and I ordered the ricotta gnudi. Both dishes were delicious. We couldn't skip dessert. We shared the caramel bread pudding with ice cream and the olive oil cake with citrus crème anglaise. The olive oil cake is a must order. Because of the restaurant's small size, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine in.
