Zero for office/billing/phone services. Beware--this medical outfit 1. block you account if, as…read morethey claim, it is unpaid. 2. put a hold for hours, and in the end you can only leave a voice message. I have been trying for weeks to sort out my co pay for MOHS procedure. According to United United Health it should have been no more than the usual $ 25 copay per visit. According to US dermatology partners it is nearly $ 500! I have by now spend five (5) hours on the phone (they make you wait a very long time), once even with a helpful United Health Care consultant. We got nowhere. Still no appointment could be made. Frankly, if you need any type of dermatology care you will be better off elsewhere. I have no complaint about the medical expert whom I saw. But I cannot spend the rest of my life wrestling with the office and billing personnel who are the most unhelpful I have ever encountered. Goodbye to US dermatology partners.

Back after a 5 year absence, only because I didn't need that kind of attention. My very solid 5…read morestar rating stands yet again. I love the folks here, the attention to detail, the no muss/no fuss kind of get it done attitude and yet friendly. They treat you like a real customer. Dr. Ruff in particular is a great doctor in whose care I am 100%+ confident in. And kudos to his assistant today, Taylor, who was great to work with. Don't come here often but would not hesitant for a second to strongly recommend the work performed here. What a joy to make a medical visit and actually enjoy and appreciate the experience.

When I arrived, no one was wearing masks. I was told that they are exempt from wearing them, and was then lectured about the death rate of COVID, that masks are completely ineffective, and that I can go ahead and take my mask off. When I explained that I have differing beliefs and good reason to wear one, I was again belittled. You could tell they really didn't want me to wear it, which is not their choice to make. Already blindsided about the masks, I then asked if the doctor could keep 6 feet from me in the room. A reasonable compromise, right? She told me we could discuss it once we got to the room. I wasn't sure why we couldn't discuss it in the lobby right then, but I later realized it was because she had no plans to keep her distance from me. In the room, she sat very close to me despite me having already requested her not to. I understand if someone is exempt from mask wearing. I get it. My issue here is that they did not make this clear to me as a new patient. Furthermore, the doctor lectured me about masks and suggested I take mine off. And finally, they did not attempt to keep distance. I felt very uncomfortable. This office should make it clear they are exempt, so their patients can then make a choice that is best for their personal health. They should also allow patients to wear masks if they choose, without making them feel wrong for wearing them. I am very disappointed with the professionalism of Midwest Dermatology. If you want to feel that your voice is valued and heard as a patient, do not choose this office.

Always On Time Over…read morethe years I have gotten used to going to a doctor's appointment and having to hang around the waiting room for 15 or 20 minutes to be called and then another 5 or 10 waiting in the examination room. Well those days are over for dermatology issues - my longest wait was 4 minutes total a few years ago! Saint Luke's Dermatology Specialists is part of the Saint Luke's Hospital Kansas City group, and is located near I-435 and Roe Ave. There is ample parking in their private lot. Checking in could not be easier. One way is to use the MYStLukes portal and do it all on line. You can also update any medical history or insurance information (so you do not have to balance a clip board on your knees in the waiting room). Coming through the front doors there is a master check in area for all the specialists in the building. Give them you name, and if you have checked in online, you will be directed to the proper office. Even with COVID-19 restrictions letting up, masks are still required, visitors are restricted to one per patient, and coffee is no longer available in the lobby. Temperature checks are required. Having grown up in the 50's and 60's I was a bit hesitant seeing Dr. Fink (If you were born after that period the story is not worth telling). I will say that he has always been professional, friendly, and actually listens to what you have to say! After four years of seeing Dr. Fink I am fully comfortable in the knowledge that I am getting the best preventative care possible. I have never had a single issue with him or any of the staff. Highly recommended.
