Such a great experience! The place was easy to find and the ordering process was incredibly easy. I went with the "Cowgirl" and it was one of the best tacos i've had! It had grilled chicken breast, veggies and cheeses and sauces as well as their seasoning blends. The interior was also well decorated and I will definitely be looking forward to trying again.

No line. Quick service to order. Food seems as if it's made to order due to wait time. But the first taco I ordered was the sunset shrimp. It was a little too spicy, and the crispness texture was not present are pleasant. Tasted like microwaved fried shrimp. I swap it for the Philly shito which was better than the sunset. My favorite was the pink drink and queso and chips. Cynthia was extra cool she invited us back to the grand opening the following weekend.

Ordered some sweets and hanging out. Cute restaurant

Tacodeli was a nice experience. Completely expected more of the texmex vibe and is a super fun restaurant. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I ordered the cowgirl chicken taco. ( Dry-rubbed grilled chicken, grilled corn, caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, guacamole, queso fresco) Rich with chicken and spice! Not bad! I also ordered their egg, bacon and cheese on the go taco. The chips and queso were also solid. Cheese is a bit runny but the taste was great! Kind of drank it like soup (big back style) I also ordered their margarita cookie and their churro blondie. Absolutely LOVED the churro blondie. A great family restaurant with a fun texm3x vibe for sure!

I redeemed my offer yesterday, which happened to be the last day. That's the beauty of elite weeks. U have a nice window to go at your convenience. I provided my name and went with a steak chimchurri and a a small side of queso n chips. The taco was good, although petite in size. and took some time to be prepared. I would need to buy at least 6/7 tacos to fulfill my hunger pangs, especially since I had come right after playing about 4 hours of pickleball. Nonetheless, it was a pit stop on my way to Ichii AYCE. The restaurant itself was clean. There were plenty of seating inside and outside on patio. Thanks to Jando, Yelp Houston and taco deli for organizing this event.

So I nearly forgot that I had today and tomorrow to redeem my offer. So I made the 40 minute truck to the restaurant today. They weren't busy and I didn't really like the fact that I wasn't necessarily greeted when I came to the register. All I got was a "what can I get you today?" Yeah. Not a fan. Not a fan at all. Anyway. I looked through the menu and decided on the pollo en mole and the steak chimichurri... Both with no queso blanca and both with the medium queso and tortilla chips. I waited quite a long time for the tacos. Which was quite surprising because, again, they didn't have many people there. However, the people that were there I did see they had been waiting quite a long time as well. I was so confused. Eventually, my order came and I took it to the car. Usually I checked to make sure the order is right, but I was supposed to go waiting I just left. I got in my car and was actually very surprised at how small the tacos are. Like really surprised. They are teeny tiny... like street tacos. The steak chimichurri was a solid 8 out of 10. Good flavors. Season meat. Just extremely tiny. The pollo en mole was not good at all. 2 of of 10. The flavors just didn't match up something seemed very off and it was hard to finish. The tortilla chips are great. Not too salty, a great crunch, and not heavy or greasy. I just wanted to taste the queso for the flavor because I didn't want to be bloated since I'm lactose intolerant. The queso was good. I wish it had some spice, however by itself it was a 7 out of 10. I ordered the limonada as well and it was absolutely delicious. 9/10. Refreshing. Very sweet. Very tangy. Yummy. I don't think I would come back on my own and that's ok. There are several places that I found out about throughout that I frequent! Overall I'm thankful to Jandoooo and the Yelp Houston team for lunch today!

Stopped in once again for a taco. After a long week this was a quick and easy stop. No wait, plenty of parking and friendly staff. I got the cowboy taco it was just as flavorful as the first time. Yet I do feel they went overboard with the spicy guacamole sauce. The queso has potential i would like a little more spice and it to be a little thicker. They prices are a little high for the portion considering the area. Thank you Yelp and Tacodeli for allowing a busy week to end with some flavor and convenience of dinner being made to order.

I believe this is the first time I've ever hit up an elite week event before 7am. This location is near my office so I decided to check them out on my way into the office. I also thought with it being so early I would be in and out. I walked in at 7:50am and of course I was the only person there. Dinning area is very spacious with plenty of seating. The guy working the register seemed like he was still asleep. He kept asking me the same question over and over. Not a big deal for me, I know the feeling. The part that was annoying was him having a hard time putting the code in the system to comp my queso/chips and taco. At one point he switched computers but then came back to the original computer. Once I was able to pay as I did get an extra taco, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I got the Barbacoa Madruguera which is braised beef, scrambled eggs, salsa de arbol and green onion. This taco had good flavor but was soooo greasy. I could feel my arteries clogging as I ate it lol. The second taco I had was the Migas taco. I love Migas, so to have it in a taco sounded amazing! Sadly this taco was super salty. I'm guessing the chief did one too many shakes of the salt shaker when he was cooking this one. The queso and prepackaged chips were average. I'm curious if you get fresh chips when you dine in. I'm hoping my tacos were off as I was the first person in this morning and the crew was still waking up. But I'm not going to go out of my way to find out. Shout out to Yelp for allowing me to try another new spot.

Great Pick for Elite Week ! Taco Deli hit the spot ! As soon as you walk in, the vibe of the place was very fun and playful with the Mexican culture murals on the table and walls . The service was absolutely amazing . Everyone was so nice and welcoming . With the elite week experience, I received queso with chips & a free taco . For my taco choice I got the Mexico City Chicken with corn tortilla . But the cool part is , you can pick your taco tortilla between corn or flour . You can also add guacamole for an extra charge . Definitely worth it because it's so tasty Also , they have 4 different salsas made fresh daily that you can choose from and freshly cut limes . The queso and chips were amazing ! The queso was so fresh , it had the perfect consistency . Well done Thank you to the yelp team for another amazing space !

    Cheers!

Tucked behind the Shake Shack nearby, I would've totally just overlooked this new Tacodeli by the Katy Freeway if it wasn't for this amazing Yelp Elite Week event! Having come from NYC, can't say I know my tacos as well as the natives, but wow these are the best tacos I've had so far! It was a bit awkward finding our way in from the parking lot because of the fence, but inside was very cute and inviting. There were also a fair amount of seats, making it a great place to bring your friends too. For my selection, I've had the Philly-Shito, which is basically a Philly Cheese with a Shishito Pepper. My friends got the Mojo Salmon and Steak Chimichurri. We a got a regular queso with nacho chips. I also ordered a Horchata, which was not very good, very watered down, and didn't taste any cinnamon at all. Would avoid for next time. They had a fairly extensive list of tacos to the point where it was kind of hard to read the menu screen. They had a great variety and I'm excited to swing by to try other tacos as it's near where I live. One thing that stood out to me is that they had a breakfast grab and go section, which could proof useful if I ever wanted a quick breakfast Taco. The tacos here were all very flavorful and shockingly did not need any sauce. But I appreciate them having a salsa bar, with the Dona being my favorite, followed by the Habanero, and then the Roja. I've never been a big fan of green sauce, so sorry Verde. If you dine in, the staff will bring out your hot tacos out to your table, and I was able to see how busy the kitchen got so good on them for that.

Tacodeli's menu is filled with words that instantly make my heart smile: fresh, organic, housemade, avocado, guacamole, vegetarian. The cherry on top is that there are so many vegetarian/vegan options on the menu! I can definitely tell that Tacodel is based in Austin because of its eco-friendly practices. I truly appreciate their use of compostable food containers and straws. The check-n process was pretty smooth despite a minor glitch in the system that was quickly resolved within minutes. The staff was pretty friendly and helpful. I had fun checking out the colorful artwork on the dining tables. Both The Heather and Space Cowboy tacos were good. I also thought the tacos were a good size. I love that the Masa chips are 100% organic, however, the queso was a little on the salty side for me. Overall, I'm glad to have discovered Tacodeli and will definitely be back to try other vegetarian/vegan items on the menu. Thank you so much Jando, Yelp Houston, and Tacodeli for this opportunity try out a new food spot. Note: The only way to access the entrance is through a single opening in the patio gate that's located on the opposite end of the entrance.

Plenty of parking surrounding the front and the sides. I really dislike the fencing and how there's only one entrance/exit though. The menu had a lot going on and unfortunately the employee at the register did not take the initiative to recommend anything until I'd asked. Even then, it was hard to hear her because she was mumbling and gave a short response. I did not get welcoming vibes. Customer service experience only went up when another employee who seemed much more enthusiastic came out, checked in on me, and brought me my food. While I was waiting, the aroma surrounding the venue was absolutely divine, so I knew it'd be good. I got the Cowboy, and I really liked the beef. I loved the way they cooked and cut it. Sometimes beef can be pretty tough to chew, so having it cut into small pieces made it much easier to eat. I wish they allowed ingredients to be replaced or taken out because I do not like onions. When I asked about it, the employee said no and I couldn't make out the rest. The chips and dip was amazing as well. Chips had a good crunch to it, and I like the added spice to the guac.

We live a bit far but I have heard of this place before so we decided to check it out. I would say it was worth the drive. Parking was easy, although u cant park right in front unless u are only there for pickup or handy-cap. But there is a big parking lot on the side of the building. It's a bit chilly in the restaurant so if u run cold like i do bring a sweatshirt. The inside of the restaurant is decorated nicely. I like how the tables are all decorated differently and they have a merch area in the back. I got the brazed beef taco and queso and chips. Was super good and the ingredients were fresh.

    Lili S.

Upon arrival, I had two options: search for the opening/entrance or hop a fence that surrounded the patio. I actually saw two customers hop the fence, one to enter the restaurant, one to exit. For a grand opening, the restaurant lacked energy and the employees seemed unprepared. I ordered the esquites; they were subpar. The Elite week queso was warm and watery at first but by the time I brought it home, it had thickened up to a nice consistency but was flavorless. The chips were prepackaged and the mole taco was bland. I appreciate the opportunity to visit a new restaurant thanks to Houston Yelp. However I probably won't be coming back.

It's hot in August! Not sure if there is any significance on the date, but the event is inspired by a New Orleans tradition and started by New Orleans natives who moved to Houston. If you haven't guessed from the name of the event, they encourage everyone to wear white linen for comfort in the summer hear. From what I understand, it used to be a free event, but now they charge a fee of 15 bucks which to me is very reasonable as these type of events take time to plan, set up and clean up afterwards. They have live music, all kinds of pop up vendors, art, and all around good vibes. Alot of the vendors like White Claw, Saint Arnold's and others were giving away drinks which in itself should make one feel good about the small entrance fee. We did buy drinks and food to snack on as well. They also allow people to bring coolers which is cool and all, but there was some people that clearly were drinking all day and needed their friends to keep them upright. Glad I grew out of that stage. Once the clock strikes 10pm, they start shutting down and telling everyone to head on out. Overall, this was a cool event that I can see myself coming back to. I love how diverse the crowd is and the good vibes all around. Would I prefer it in the fall? Of course! Maybe they can make that happen one day. See ya'll there next year!

I guess there is something a little appealing about the whole chaos of it and I usually mange to run into people I haven't seen in a long time so I guess it's not all that bad. A word of advice: bring a little cooler for yourself with water or other beverages. To be honest, I have no idea what the alcohol rules are there but most people there are lit up real good so I guess it's pretty lax. As for parking, you're better off not bringing a car or taking a shuttle. I usually park 5-6 blocks away and walk but then I'm kind of grizzled and know my secret spots. A lot of street parking does open up after sunset too once the families evacuate the area with their children and the night boozing begins.

The food was plentiful, beautifully presented, and constantly replenished. A+. There were some delicious egg rolls, wings, Banh mi samples, and flavored teas and beer! The Banh mi here is the star of the show for me in all the times I've been. *(I'm still not a fan of their pho here, but the food for the most part was a big hit) Seating was limited but the patio offered a nice cozy scene for all the yelpers crammed in a covered area even with the light drizzle. The parking was a bit challenging in the small spaces so often I may park at the Decoy or in the surrounding street parking in the area when i come here. Sandy and the owners had great energy. Thanks to Jando, the Yelp Houston team, Sandy and Cassie along with their Saigon Hustle team for putting on such a great event. The buffet style made the lines move faster on both side. There was plenty of food to go around. We were fed for sure. The staff did a great job serving the food indoor and outdoor. While it was a lot of people there, it didn't feel too crowded as everyone was split indoor and outdoor. The covered patio was useful given the light sprinkle of rain. It's not often we get to indulge in Vietnamese cuisine so this was a treat. Many great choices to choose from: banh mi, chicken wings, pickled veggie salad, grilled chicken, egg rolls, spring rolls, tofu, Thai/taro tea, che thai. My fave was the banh xeo spring roll. I'm not used to eating it this way but I really enjoyed it. The fish sauce was light and went perfectly with it. The peanut sauce was also great with a nice kick of spice. The chicken wings were really good too. Banh mi had a lot of meat in it so would prefer to have more veggies in it to balance it out. Che Thai is such a common Viet dessert but adding ice would have made it less sweet as I thought the milk was too thick. Overall, this was a great night! Very nicely put together and we had a great time. Saigon Hustle is a great addition to Spring Branch.

The wait staff was great with my kids too, my daughter specifically. she doesn't do all that well in restaurant settings, but it was quite a pleasant-ish visit. I will for sure be returning! When we were done we headed to Six Ping and got some pretty tasty pastries. I got a Taiwanese Red Bean cake and it was so good. it wasn't too sweet and it had tons of flavor. My kids thought the Hello Kitty cake was hilarious, the look on their faces was even funnier when I said I wasn't buying it. HA!! And then! We went to Nu Café and it was a life changer. Oh man the Shaved ice is like nothing I have ever had before. I didn't know shaved ice could be so good. I got the Coconut shaved ice with condensed milk, strawberries, and rainbow jellies. It was glorious! Oh my I want to leave work right now and go get some! It was sweet but not too sweet, it was incredible. Lou definitely went above and beyond for this UYE. Thank you, Lou!

But it was even more cutesy because my buddy Justin was by my side, and the other folks I know were at near by tables. I thought it was so cool, they had chefs counter and 6 person table seating. Jando and Chef did a great job of sharing a bit of history and background. I was surprised to learn it takes as much as 28 hours to perfect this beef pho. It makes sense because the broth runs deep with flavor. Food- was yum! Starting with the starter the Shrimp Chai Go (sp) and the Banh Kat. Both were such a great way to start, super hot and tasty! The beef Pho, wow a huge portion, I was not expecting. Loved my take away the following night. And decided to deservingly tip this business generouly for there time and effort. This felt like the perfect comfy cozy event. When at Stesi food hall, will definitely check this out. Thank you always Yelp!

The festival was June 4-14 with various topics daily shown on Eventive Virtual. Admission was free and it accepts donations during the screenings of over 40 Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) films and special LIVE and pre-recorded Q&As with filmmakers. I attended the preseason teaser screening in May. It was kind of fun until the movie stopped due to technical difficulties. Not sure if it was my internet connection or from the host's computer. I didn't stay to the end (maybe it was the end). The fun part was that participants can chat while watching the movie (I think that was the reason for crashing). I heard from the festival organizer, they can show more movies outside of festival. For example, ASIAN AMERICANS Documentary will be featured at the Virtual OCA National Convention this Sunday August 2nd. I'm waiting FERMENTED movie to be shown again. Because I want to host a virtual watch party with my foodie friends. What's 2021 gonna look like? Hard work living such a grand, elite life. It was so nice to explore The Ion, indulge in delicious food (peep the food dump), connect with new yelpers, and hangout with old friends! This event was well executed, organized, and spacious. It never felt overwhelming or cluttered to where you couldn't move. We stan SPACE! The DJ was spinning records too honey, we love a vibe! My favorite part of the night and my all time favorite Yelp swag (wow am I really saying this out loud or typing this for the Yelp Heavens to see) was the lunchbox! It's so vibrant and colorful. Forward fold. Cat-cow. Cobra. Butterfly. Child's pose. Namaste. Loved the cool R&B tunes which were the perfect backdrop for Jas to smoothly guide our class through an amazing hour of yoga. So relaxing despite it being a "Hot Yoga" class. Thanks for the red Yelp towels and water bottles. Loved hearing about her journey from San Diego to Houston. The space on the third floor of Mala Market is so warm and so inviting. The maker space really encourages small business owners. Support Local! Check out Vibes with Jas for more special events. We also got to bring a plus one which I appreciated because my friend loves yoga. We got there at 10:53am and found parking on Hazel street (shoutout to the Yelp team for the very detailed email). We got to the entrance of Mala market and checked in with Jando. We had to wait till they opened at 11am, but I got the chance to chat with some of the ladies I'd never met before. Jas was also there to greet us and we headed in right on time. The market was so quaint and cute and I was eager to check it out after the class. The studio was on the third floor and the class was quite full. We made space for everyone and got down to it. Jas showed us varying techniques and really called us in to set our intention for the class. Although I'm not a yogi, I did enjoy the class as it was challenging. Jas is a great instructor and I look forward to supporting her by attending a few more of her classes. While not explicitly branded as a Black History Month event, I really appreciate all the work Jando, B and Yelp Houston have done this month to bring forth Black owned businesses. I had a conversation with Jando last year around this time regarding this issue and the fact that a whole year later, while not going into all the details about our conversation, he listened, shared the reality of the situation with me, and still made sure we had good representation this year. This is an example of a CM who is really about it!!! Thank you Jas, Mala Market, Jando, and Yelp Houston for a great weekend event!

The space was larger than I was expecting. I enjoyed the Christmas decor and the dark lighting set the mood for the evening. It had a chill, intimate feel where you can go after a long day of work and unwind. I love coffee and was happy to see that the cocktail offerings were coffee based. Carajillos are my favorite coffee cocktail (I describe them as an elevated espresso martini) so I had to try one. It was really good and I enjoyed the presentation with the flamed cinnamon stick. I also tried the Matcha Mama and really enjoyed it! I've never had matcha before, but I have to say I preferred this drink over the Carajillo. I was prepared for light bites, however we were offered so many courses of food and the staff even offered us second helpings. I left this event full and happy. My favorite samples were the Egg Salad Sandwich (I loved the caviar on top) and the Slider. So delicious! It was nice to hear from Jando, Sandy (owner), and Chef Cassandra! I had no idea that Saigon Hustle is owned by the same group. It was great to see Yelp friends as well as meet a new Yelp friend, Tiffany M. We have been at some of the same events and somehow never crossed paths. There's only been two Fire events so far, but I enjoyed this one more. I'm curious to see what 2025 has in store for the Fire program, should I be fortunate enough to stay in the club. I wasn't very socially inclined in college and I'm not very good at adhering to party themes (yes, I have "party pooper" tendencies, so what?). But then I thought "why not?" and pulled out that ole long transformer dress (mine is brown, but ladies - the white ones are perfect for toga parties, although I didn't exactly tie mine "toga style," but anyway, just FYI!) and dug up a twin flat sheet out for the boyfriend to show that yes, we were darn well trying, and made our way to the adorable Craft Salon. The Counter was doling out Greek-inspired sliders to the attendees and from what I understand, they were quite tasty. Us Yelpers congregated, snapped a few photos, and then proceeded to get our drink-on. I was a bit surprised at the roominess of Craft Salon, but then again, they stripped the place down to allow for small sponsor display, propped by the hair stylist stations, and a couple of tables and stools for the weary (like me). We continued to chat it up, strike our best yoga pose ("Tired tipsy girl sitting on bar stool" - know that one? Cuz I do!), sip our plentiful wines, beers, and vodka beverages, and marvel at other attendees' ridiculous and brilliant toga creations. I was quite appreciative of the efficiency by which I received my wines, despite there being only two bar stations. I was a little bit disgruntled about the one-person restroom (see "efficiency by which I received my wines"), but hey, I managed to make it out mostly alive . . .? The DJ was pretty darn great, and ceremoniously started streaming Journey and 80's hits as the evening came to a close, much to everyone's intoxicated delight. For this being only the second year that Bering Omega has put on this event, it was really quite impressive and entertaining, and it's all for a terrific cause too. I mean, I am almost feeling inspired to actually design some crazy sort of toga for next year, but let's not be too overzealous yet . . . this is only my first toga party, but certainly not my last.

Thanks Yelp Houston, Jando, and Barry's for this amazing sweaty Elite 2 week event…read more I was so excited that Yelp decided on something fun, different, and active to start the new year on the right foot. Or at least offer an event to those that are wanting to start or remain getting fit. Barry's is an fancy and hip place for HIIT, that I have heard of but never been. This was an amazing opportunity to try something new for zero cost or commitment. A regular drop in class is on pricey side, almost $40 buck which is high end for the average crossfit, or gym drop in. Rebecca was super nice at the front desk, giving me a great lowdown of the land. My 2 classes 1. Abs & Ass 2. Full Body lower focus, was challenging! But the 2 instructors I had Lacy & Riti did there best to demo or talk it out, and give great energy and motivation. Unfortunately, I had more things I didn't like about this experience than things I did. I didn't like I had to pay for parking. I know this isn't the gyms doing but it still sucks to have to pay for parking to workout. Walking in I was greeted with lots of energy and smiles. After getting checked in by the staff I was given a quick run through of how the class will be. And I do mean quick, from all the information given all I could remember was "you'll be at station 11". Once we were allowed in the classroom, the loud music started. I personally like having the music loud when working out but not when the instruction is yelling what items we need for the workout. The classroom had multiple stations set up, I would say too many. When getting equipment or moving to the treadmills it was congested. I was constantly saying, excuse me, pardon me? can I get by. Once the class started the instructor turned to music up even louder while speaking into the microphone headset. The micro microphone wasn't the best quality as his voice came out distorted over the speakers. I found myself looking to other people that have been there before to copy what they were doing. I didn't feel bad as I saw I wasn't the only that looked lost. The excuses we did were very basic and reminded me of the old lady on channel 8 (PBS) that would workout in a chair. Once the class was over you have the option of getting a juice from their juice bar. I felt the prices were a bit high but I can see you're paying for the convenience. I'm grateful for the experience but I won't be signing up for a membership here.
