We did our due diligence and also got quotes from other local companies but in the end we chose to use Southern Grind Stump And Tree Removal because of their professionalism and fair pricing. Because the rain had them backed up (and my yard is a slippery hill), we were scheduled 2 weeks out to have the work done. They kept in contact with me during that time frame to let me know we were still on schedule for that date. On the day they removed the tree they arrived promptly and got to work immediately. I was expecting 1 or 2 trucks but they came with a whole fleet of vehicles, workers, tools and equipment. The job was done thoroughly and without further damage to my fence. We hired Stallion Tree Professional of the CSRA in January 2020 to cut and remove 13 trees and…read moreprune selected limbs from other trees in the backyard. The crew arrived and cut and removed 12 trees and failed to prune any limbs. They also modified parts of the yard so they could use a tracked Bobcat to remove waste to the roadway. When they finished on day 2, they failed to repair and reset the altered changes to the property, left a large amount of waste on site and failed to disclose damage to a brick wall in the front of the house. After several phone call, the owner finally returned and promised a cleanup. After 6 weeks, the cleanup team arrived, removed most of the waste, attempted to reset the damages from the Bobcat and again failed to repair or report the damaged courtyard wall to their boss. I have called by phone to 2 different numbers. sent email and mailed a letter by USPS. Russ Marshal, the owner has refused to answer the phone or the emails and has ignored the letter in the mailing. A report of damage to private property has been filed with the Columbia Sheriffs office. Hire this company at your own risk. Never again for me.
