My son participated in this 5 to 7 years old roller hockey league recently and really enjoyed himself. Only 2 teams with about 8 total kids so they had plenty of skating time to burn off that youthful exuberance that we all wish we could regain. A few more kids would've been nice, but they still had a ton of fun. I found the instructor's to be friendly & hands on, teaching the basics which at that demographic is just about all you should and can expect at the "Run after butterflies age". Soccer and field hockey also available on the other side of the divider for coeds. Adult roller hockey seems to be quite a hit here with multiple men's league's taking place weekly on many night's right up to wee late hours. The ring and field are much smaller than regulation so it's perfect for youngins, but maybe not so much for adults. Cost for 12 weeks was about $11 per week which is good if you ever shopped rink or ice time. The facilities comes complete with locker and shower rooms, but the water does not get hot or even luke warm. My son cringed after every game knowing he was about to be frozen with liquid nitrogen. Fairly clean. A small burger type grill bar at your disposal with reasonable prices for basic grill & soda fare. The big bonus has to be the full bar upstairs perfectly situated to view your kids or friends while you get tanked. Definitely a congregating spot after games for the guys and probably where I would be found, lol. If your in search of a fairly affordable limited sports indoor facility especially for you kids this may be what your looking for.

It was my first time visiting Tab Ramos, and I enjoyed my experience. I would like to go back since I didn't get a chance to check out the entire place. The roller hockey rink is on the main floor and the window just above is to the bar that gives a view of the entire rink. I think it is a great place for both younger and older kids, as well as adults. The concession stand, which is located right next to the bleachers, handled the long lines like professionals. I ordered the wings which were delicious, nice and crunchy! Yum. I think anyone who is interested in finding other activities for their children should stop in and check it out.

The room that we stayed in was to my (our) surprise, pretty tiny and cramped as it was hard to move around, especially since there were a lot of people. Not too big of a deal, but do take caution. It was well-organized where we stayed, which is all that matters. There are a lot of sporting activities to offer, such as basketball in one room, hockey which includes ice and roller skating as well, and an indoor field that holds baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, and even frisbee as well with even more names to list. There are many sporting activities to do here, and this is the place to come for get-togethers and/or just to hang out. Overall, a great place to visit. I hate this place for playing roller hockey. Nothing works here including the refs. The most…read moreunprofessional run facility I have ever been to. There was one time during a hockey game that a ref was sitting down eating during a game instead of out on the rink. I yelled over and asked him to ref the game he was paid to do and he proceeded to curse back at me with a lot of foul language. He still works there. Management is constantly contacted and nothing changes. This week a ref offered to get me a chair while I walked past him. He was only able to do that because he was standing in the penalty box on his cell phone while the puck was in play. I replied I want you to ref I don't want a chair. They are paid $25 for 40 mins of socializing, eating, and just skating away from a game in play. During the same game the other ref was hanging on the goal post the entire game talking with the goalie and not paying attention to the whole game. I have never seen a place that is a free for all for the employees and they have no manager around making sure they are doing what they are supposed to do. As long as they collect the money from all the teams the facility is still left in the dirty run down condition that it has been in for years. Hundreds of dollars taken from each team and they cannot afford to fix the score board so you can read the numbers? Several bulbs are out and just left without repair.

Fast forward to this year when I moved to the area permanently and found myself looking for my new permanent gym home. For anyone who has moved and left a place they loved for years you know how hard that is. After trying 4 other gyms in the area, after just 1 class, I knew I had found my new home. The highlights: the owner is welcoming and is a smart capable owner always looking to improve what is offered through programming, equipment, and community. The coaches are all well trained, knowledgeable, encouraging, and even join you for class. The community is like family, whether you've been there for 1 day or 1 year. The programming is also skillfully designed with intention and purpose. For me, it checks all of the boxes. If you're thinking of dropping in or joining, come hang with us! I'm so grateful to have found speakeasy and proud to be a member of this community.
