If you are searching for a pro-active staffing agency, A-1 Careers Staffing Services of Prairie…read moreVillage, Kansas is not the agency you need to contact. I have recently submitted my resume regarding a position that A-1 had posted on Career Builders. I immediately received a call for an interview. I attended my interview, completed the application, and individually interviewed with two staffing associates. "Oh, they had the perfect job for me...I would be such a great fit..." The staffing rep even sent me a thank you card in the mail. This rep was working with the same client as another staffing agent I had interviewed with. I attended an interview with this client and had a great interview; however, I feel that because the client was working with both staffing agencies, my possible employment with this client has been jeopardized due to the conflict of interest. The A-1 Careers rep will not return my calls or respond to emails regarding follow up. It appears all staffing agencies have the lack of dedication to their applicants. This entire process is a joke. The staffing agency is always so eager to bring in the applicant, make the applicant complete the application and interviewing process, complete the necessary tests, and never call again. Don't they work on commission and bonuses? I am very qualified for all the positions I have applied for. They do not consistently work for their current applicant. They continue to post jobs on the job boards and continually bring in new applicants for the same process, week after week.

Recruiter vs Agent…read more It was the first time in 20 years that I needed to find a new job, I figured I could just overcome the odds by sheer tenacity and indomitable grit. Months has gone by using this methodology which turned my hopeful expectations to monotonous disillusionment. The worst part of the whole experience was feeling alone in my delima. During this period of time I enlisted the aid of several recruiter companies to assist me in finding something adequate. My expectations for these type of services was the same expectations I would have from the guy behind the counter at Starbucks. It is because of this status quo of this generic consumer orientated approach to most services out there that the experience I had with Riverpoint stands out so much. The best way to summarize my experience is feeling like I had Jerry Maguire representing me. Recently Dan Moberly help me find a new place of employment that is far better than what I could have managed on my own. The very least I can do is express my gratitude by posting my experience with them on my social media sites and hope other people looking for representation in the job market contact them.
