He sent us the link for his Yelp business listing and said to call him if ended up needing his help. I had both my bathrooms changed from the old 3 knob shower to a more modern single knob shower thingy, plus updating the waste disposal piping/internals. Although the base quotes and labor was cheap, I did ask for some custom stuff which cost extra, and I think they put quite a big markup on them. For example, I wanted brushed nickel finish on my shower fixtures and drains and it cost $360. I looked at Home Depot and it was much less than that for that kind of stuff. Other than that, the technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. The thing that stands out the most about them was their dedication and their customer service. I was having my shower valves and waste disposal replaced but also wanted to reglaze my tub. Long story short, something happened with that reglazing company that might've flooded my downstairs neighbor and Greg hopped on a call with me late at night and talked me through how to check if everything was ok. This took 40 minutes, and thankfully nothing leaked out of my waste disposal. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the services provided and will be calling them for any future plumbing issues.

Al is amazing. This review is 12 months late…read more We had a pipe spring a hole in it last April and woke up to a hallway covered in water. We called and received a very quick response. Our pressure regulator to the house failed and the water pressure was 150psi. This sprung a leak in the old shower valve (3 knob) for our main bathroom. It backs up to the hallway. He came over, addressed the immediate need by capping off the water lines feeding the tub valve in our bathroom. We were without a primary tub for a few days while the valve (we have an older house and this is particular part is not common) was ordered. It left us with full functionality of our home including a stand up shower in the second bathroom. He worked from the hallway, so that we wouldn't have to re-tile our bathroom tub surround. This is quite a bit trickier, but much better for the homeowner. He also replaced or regulator on the outside of the house. This was at the very beginning of pandemic lockdowns! He wore a mask and gloves at all times. When he left, he left everything spotless. And on Christmas Eve, he dropped by with a gift for our son. He remembered us 8 months later and our boy (who constantly wanted to "see what was going on"). Awake Plumbing-not just great service. The owner, Al, is quite simple and exceptionally caring and thoughtful human being. I'll be using his services whenever I need ANY plumbing needs taken care of.
