We had an event and used this company to provide the portable toilets, the only reason they get a 1 star is because the bathrooms are clean- but their customer service and their responsiveness has much to desire. Our event ended a 3 pm and they had agreed to pick up their portables at that time. It has been 2.5 hours and they have not shown up- nor called and there is no answer on the "24 hour" service line. We will never use them again and recommend people to look for a different business. Update: in response to the business comment: totally understand the "after 3 pm" but 3.5 hours later? The equípeme y was picked up at 630. Regarding the calls, we called all the numbers that we had including the poster's direct number. We would take an apology, but I plying the the customer (who according to the business motto is 1st") is a low blow from the business. We have proof of all the calls as well as email messages sent. We will start an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau, so this company's poor behavior stays on record. read more

Super unprofessional. Avoid at all costs!! Ordered a porta potty but delivery driver insisted he could not put on side of house because it is against there policy when there website clearly states it's available for back yards. And I confirmed this on the phone when I placed the order. Delivery drivers stormed off and left with the ports potty and still tried to charge me for it. Talked to the "owner" and he had a worse attitude then the drivers. Rent from somewhere else. Do not waste your time with these unprofessionals! read more

I HIGHLY recommend this company. Jeff was VERY easy to work with. He listened to what my needs were and placed me on hold for a few minutes and came back with pricing and availability (which is tomorrow morning for 2 different locations). One star for their customer service. I work for a construction company and our guys are there as early as 5 am. I was looking for a new Portable Company.. Back in October I ordered a portable and requested an early drop-off, I was not informed of the extra charge otherwise I would have paid for it. I did not receive a call 30 mins before drop off and the portable was finally delivered at 2:30 pm. Upon arrival portable arrival the manager onsite let them know the job was done and there was no need for it, hence the early drop-off request. AND he didn't call before drop-off. Anyway, long story short we were charged a delivery charge. I called 1st John and explained the situation and requested they waive the fee. I am a returning customer and I was looking for a new company to assist with our portable needs, and they would have our business. No harm, no foul. Needless to say, they lost a loyal customer over an $80 delivery charge. We order multiple portables for different sites quite often. My company would never do this. Valerie was the rep I always dealt with she was always helpful. it is what it is. But I won't ever do business with them again. read more

Management was very rude and arrogant with myself and also my wife. We paid extra for the deluxe toilet to use while we re-do our bathroom. We were told service comes once a week to empty toilet. After a week the toilet was full and the flush door wouldn't close because it had filled to the top with excrement. When we called, the manager said it was "our fault" for being full. Even more absurd was he proceeded to say "i don't know what happened, it was clean when I dropped it off", as if he didn't know we'd be pooping in it. Also that the first service is not in one week but in 10 days. When we said we weren't told we'd have to wait 10 days he replied "you didn't ask". As a result we are now having to drive to a local Starbucks to use their loo. BEWARE: bait and switch. read more

Hats off for 1st Jon! We've had 1st Jon here at our home remodel site in the Hollywood Hills for the past six months and we cannot tell you how great it has been. The service has been exceptional and the portable unit has always been clean, well-maintained and taken care of by their serviceman. Since all of the toilets inside of the house were taking out during the remodel we had no choice but to install 1st Jon in the yard outside for ourselves and the work crew. There was a regular maintenance schedule with a maintenance sheet maintained inside the unit so we knew every time they came out to clean it out. It was never left untidy, they cleaned it regularly, and there was always a first supply of toilet paper and hand sanitizer that I noticed everyone used since it smelled so good and was strong and effective. I know it's unusual to leave a review for a portable toilet but I felt it was necessary to let you know that if you are looking for a portable john for your next event or home remodel or construction project look no further than 1st Jon! Should we have an event or a large party here I will certainly look to rent one of their more deluxe units which includes a sink and lighting inside for those late night parties. And yes if you can imagine it never really smelled because the chemicals they used were so powerful it was able to absorb all of nature's smells. So I rented the "flushable" porta potty with sink. It did not flush as in the flap would not open for waste to go down. Not with toilet paper on it, not with poop on it. You have to press violently with your foot on the floor pump to really get any water going....so we got a stick and told guests to push the flap open with it. Showed workman when he came to pick up and he said no it shouldn't be so hard, to call the office. I did, got a return call from Jon saying "the flap doesn't open without any weight on it because it has a spring". Yes Jon, I know which is why we had to use a stick. If it doesn't flush, don't advertise it as flushing and equip it with something that will put weight on it or demand that all your guests have weighted urine and poop because thats how Jon says it operates..... This is either a case of bad advertising or a malfunctioning flushing porta potty that Jon doesn't want to take responsibility for. If it doesn't flush, dont say its flushing. read more

This review is long over due. 1st Jon saved me, I had a rental agreement with another company and last minute they canceled one day before our event. I started calling rental companies but since it was such last minute that we need restrooms I couldn't find what we needed. Needless to say another company give me 1st Jon number and sure enough they saved the day. I spoke with Valerie and she was awesome and so helpful. She recommended the 2 unit trailer for our event and they delivered as promised on time and very clean. Everything was stock up with all supplies napkins, soap and toilet paper.
