They came out Saturday morning and were VERY reasonably priced (especially with not having a huge budget to fix my plumbing crisis and it now being the WEEKEND) they took my call early (around 8 am) -they were super friendly- got my information and said they would call back, with the week being full of people giving me the run around I expected to wait on them for an hour or more but was pleasantly surprised when I received a call not even 30 minutes later to tell me some one was IN ROUTE already!! They gave me the technicians information and a pretty clear estimate of what I should be expecting. Aside from the two people I talked to on the phone that were super friendly and very knowledgeable, the technicians were also INCREDIBLE!! The Technicians arrived before the estimated 30 minutes!! They were so friendly, also very knowledgeable and had everything done in no time!! I can't rave enough about the service provided by this company!! Honestly don't hesitate or look any further, just CALL THEM!!!

This is a rental property, so I didn't notice that it was removed for several months. It took me over a week and a half of constantly leaving messages for their office manager Todd to actually return my phone calls. Now they are denying removing the piping for my aerator when it was clearly there and working before they came and installed the new plumbing. Between the poor customer service and a technician that is clearly lying I will never use them again Yes you sent two employees out after. One gave me another estimate and the second one which I was there with him agreed that the new piping they installed was right where the piping for the Aerator was. I'm guessing someone came in the back yard and removed it and also unplugged the aerator that's been installed for the past 7 years.

This is the most "DEPLORABLE", Despicable, Deceitful, Incompetent, Slithering, Self-indulging, Un-compassionate, Arrogant, Greedy, Power-tripping, Pathetic excuse for a Customer Service Rep I have EVER had the Displeasure of dealing with IN MY LIFE! A Previous review said she called herself an Attorney.... Who, does she represent? Herself when she gets sued constantly? She must have obviously failed miserably at that profession also, otherwise, WHY wouldnt she be using that professional license to make, what I am sure would be considered to be a more lucrative income than providing services for home warranty companies and treating their customers like crap? Oh wait! I think I know ... she scams them too! At least in my case, I sure believe that. She insisted on pre payment from the home warranty co. for replacement parts they said we needed BEFORE she would even consider replacing the parts in my AC unit for Repairs. Being well into over 1 1/2 months of dealing with this issue at this point, I reminded her of our Health and Age Related Issues, and her response to me was this; "Well you arent the Only ones without AC!" SERIOUSLY??? Then, after well over 2 months of bend over games, once the tech replaced the 2, "prepaid for" parts.... Well lets just say that within just 5 days of replacement, their repair attempt failed, and my Entire AC Unit "FRIED! To make matters worse, I had started trying to contact them in every possible useless way just 2 days after "their "repair attempt" with concerns. And to top that all off, if you can imagine more, there was another several weeks delay arguing about what type of system I needed (with the venting and thermostat system I had), as she stated to me when I told her she was mistaken and that I had and needed a two staged Unit. She was trying to replace my existing unit with, not only cheap, but absolute INADEQUATELY sized UNIT, for the setup I have. She literally told Me verbally that "Well I had to GUESS what you had outside and I used the inside unit to decide" because some of the numbers were torn off the tag on the unit outside", EVEN THOUGH the complete serial# was in tact AND she sent me a picture her tech took to show me. IF I HAD LET THEM REPLACE MY UNIT WITH HER Guessed at, inadequate replacement it would have, later down the line, after "their" 30 day responsibility period was long gone; WREAKED HAVOCK ON MY ENTIRE HOME and would have filled my home with hidden mold and TOTALLY DESTROYED my home AND my families Health. WORSE STILL YET, ALL SHE HAD TO DO WAS GOOGLE THE SERIAL NUMBER TO GET THE CORRECT INFORMATION for what I had and what I needed, JUST AS I DID. And sadly, Believe me or not.... THIS IS THE SHORT VERSION of the most grueling experience I have EVER gone thru with any contractor and I'm in my 60's folks! All I can say is, The Proof is in the pudding folks! I choose this company too do the repair. They responded to my call on the second ring. The service dispatch set my expectations and said they'd have someone between 1 & 4 that same day. I got a text with response updates. The plumbers called at 11:30 and said they could swing by and fix it now (earlier than expected), if I had time right now. I agreed and they came. Poor guys had to bail out about 5-6 -- 5 gallon buckets of muddy water to get to the problem. They worked through the rain that started and got it fixed. It was disheartening to see them wallow in the mud and getting wet at the end, but they diligently got it completed, regardless of the wet obstacles. They even came the next day and double checked that it was fixed properly, because the rain was filling the hole at the end and it was fixed but not truly visible in the murky puddle the rain was making. I would recommend this company to anyone and I thank their employee Jonathan for a job well done. Thanks guys, it was very professionally completed to my satisfaction.

Called and made an appointment. I was told an arrival window of 12-4p but would receive a phone…read morecall prior. Around 8a I received a call and asked if they could send the plumber. I said sure and two plumbers arrived approximately 15 minutes later. Upon first diagnosis, I was told this was out of their scope of work and I could be put in contact with someone else outside of American Plumbing. Then, I was asked for the $65 service fee. Please note that there is a 3% credit card fee that they do not tell you about when you schedule the service. They also accept cash and check. Luckily, I had a check. After the plumber went to his truck and spoke to his supervisor on the phone, I was informed that his supervisor instructed him to perform a drainage check. However, he did not have the correct tool so he left and returned. The drainage check cost $225 and turned up nothing. Again, I was informed that the scope of work is out of their wheelhouse (even though I explained the expected issue over the phone). The plumbers themselves (although seems as though one was just a shadowing apprentice) were nice and tried to find the issue. The company though, should be clearer about payment terms and using the information from the client and plumber onsite to determine if services can be rendered and not continue to perform work just for the money. Honestly, I would not use this company again, but am not discouraging others from giving them a try.

Bad Experience with Rooter Man…read more I wanted to support a local business, so I called Rooter Man in Baton Rouge to fix a problem with my floor drain. Unfortunately, I didn't check their reviews beforehand. They came quickly, but the problem came back just a few weeks later. When I tried to use their warranty, they said they found a paper towel in the drain and wouldn't honor it. I don't think that's fair because a paper towel isn't something I would intentionally put there and it's a soft object it's not a piece of plastic or metal or concrete. I found out I'm not the only one unhappy with Rooter Man. Other people on Yelp have had similar issues. It seems like Rooter Man might have some problems with their service. I want to warn others to be careful before hiring Rooter Man. It's important to check reviews and make sure you're getting good service. Thanks.
