The Emergency Room at one hospital needed my Dad transferred to another hospital across town and Elite Medical Response was dispatched. We were told 45 minutes. It ended up being close to 90. So be patient.
The technicians who eventually arrived were professional and attentive, efficiently working through their processes with what they ARE allowed to do and what they are NOT allowed to do. The hospital had to get a nurse and orderly to move Dad out of the hospital bed and into their transportation gurney. Once that was done, smooth sailing.
Dad was quickly moved into the ambulance and off they went with sirens blasting away. My bonus mom and I followed in the car at a less frenetic pace.
We arrived at the hospital and Dad was fine, all plugged in to the monitoring equipment in the ER while they waited for a transfer to the specialty department.
You don't always get to choose who moves you around as a patient, but this was pretty good and while I hope we don't need their service again, they were professional.
