We had my toddler at this facility for 2.5 months. They are incredibly understaffed. They…read moreconstantly had rooms combined and one or two people watching 18 kids. I get that the state doesn't mandate more but come on maybe hire someone so it wasn't pure chaos. Oh and half of them their kids go there which I think is fine however the girl in my daughters room clearly didn't like children. You can tell who is there for money and discounted childcare. My child had marks on her body several times that was never reported. I was told they are too busy to document everything which is probably why I was surprised to learn my toddler had been "aggressive" which from what I was told pushing over toys or flailing when being picked up from throwing a tantrum which for a 3 year old can be common however they threatened suspension. And even though my husband and I asked daily if she had an "incident" and were told no she had a great day caused us to be concerned that they clearly have no idea what they are doing. We left a daycare we had been at for 3 years and had no issues there but wanted something in the district for preschool transportation. Beware of this daycare they are still working out kinks and I'm guessing paying back the bank and can't afford to staff this place properly and with people who like children.

I decided to go with this daycare center after reading all the positive reviews. Unfortunately my…read moreexperience with them was far from 5 stars. I am giving them a one star because the staff was always friendly and they did throw a great Halloween trick or treating party after hours. Now, this is why my son (2 years old) was only there for three weeks: * My son has allergies and every time my husband or I picked him up, his nose was covered in dried up snot. * On some mornings when my husband dropped him off, he would tell me how unprepared they appeared, sometimes still cleaning. * After a week of being with them, we received a pamphlet stating extra gym time/sports activities were only offered for an additional cost...What!? * Finally, my son suffered at least 8 bites (three on his last day) from another child. I was notified of approximately 4. The others, we found ourselves, an unpleasant discovery every time to say the least. - On one occasion I notified and showed the assistant Director the bite marks left on my son's wrists, I explained that I was given no report from the staff in the room (not my son's usual teacher), she promised to look into it and to email me...I never received an explanation nor email. - From his teacher- no solution plan was ever given to us, on how they would try to stop the biting. I would have expected some type of plan after the 2nd bite, especially if it was the same child. - From the Director- she too, offered no solution in order to prevent my son from being bitten again. In my opinion, this facility is not prepared to care for toddlers. From what my husband and I saw, they had no set curriculum or activities planned for the week, which I personally feel was a contributor to the biting, due to possible boredom. As a parent of a toddler, I do not recommend this place. My son is now somewhere else and "WOW" what a difference. In the end, my son's safety is the only thing that matters and this facility fell short.

So Big Development Center

So Big Development Center

So Big Development Center does not have the employees nor the children's best interests at heart…read more The center has been open for a little over a year and only one employee remains that started with the business. Why is the employee turnover so bad? The teachers are under-qualified and underpaid. It's impossible to work within a business who is run by a woman who cares more about herself than the center. The social hierarchy is adolescent at best. It's entirely immature that some children are favored because of who their parents are. That inconsistency is confusing to children and entirely unfair. Children in this setting should be treated equally and no teacher should be told, "you can't put my kid in timeout." So what kind of teachers do you get when you only pay $8/hr for full-time? Teachers that are NOT CPR certified, NOT first aid certified, NOT degree holding in a related field, NOT experienced, and NOT correctly trained in proper procedures and protocols. If these are the people who are teaching YOUR kids, what kind of an education do you think they're getting for $8/hr? Your children are not receiving the education that So Big Development Center claims. Plus, they charge outrageous prices which is ridiculous considering what you're actually getting for your money. Turnover for the kids is just as bad. The center is always enrolling and not even half full. There is a reason for that. Don't send your kids here and if you're a child care teacher, don't work here. So Big Development Center is not worth your time.

Who can afford it?…read more The prices are ridiculous. I went Prep for $5k/year (that's 5 days/week, fulltime hours), and this place wants $5500 for 3 hours a day, 4 days a week! HIGHWAY ROBBERY.

When we began the process of finding a school for our fist child, I knew I wanted a learning…read moreenvironment that practiced the Montessori methodologies. While CCP doesn't yet have a certified Montessori educator, they're working toward that end and they follow and practice Montessori's methods. My husband and I toured several local school, and we knew we found a real gem when we met Miss Ashley and Miss Krystal. Within a week, our son was verbalizing much more. The week prior to his first day at school, Miss Ashley gave us he opportunity to transition - so his first day wouldn't be traumatizing at all. What a blessing! On my son's first day, instead of being afraid, he was thrilled. Instead of tears, he was smiling. Instead of clinging to his father, he ran to meet his friends at the breakfast table. Thanks to the efforts of his teachers - even Miss Natalie - who is the primary class teacher - and Miss Courtnay - who is a regular on Fridays - my son is really developing into an independent and self-reliant individual. Also, for you parents who might be on the fence about brining your child or children here, the security, care, and precautions taken to keep our kiddos safe is so much more than I ever anticipated. Key-fob entry and requested identification for alternate adults when picking up our kids is absolutely appreciated by this mama!!! So, hop of the fence. Contact Miss Ashley, and let your little enjoy some time with mine.
