Another amazing event for the books! I was really excited about this event, because I love Cajun food and all that it represents. The food, the drinks, the people and the music Rouxpour embodies in all that they do!! Upon arriving, we were greeted by Farrah, Jando, and the great hosts, where we got badged up, armed with fans, and gifted drink tickets for our bevvys and a giveaway! As we made our way through the restaurant, the elite squad united around the bar and our Yelp setup to grab drinks and start our fun night! It had been a while since I got to see everyone, so the night was filled with lots of hugs, laughter and catching up! Before we knew it, the night was off with a bang! Food started to appear, and of course the camera always ears first! It's kinda a funny thing to watch everyone capturing food before anyone ever grabs anything, and staff I don't think are ever truly prepared for our excitement of food! But this staff, they were just as excited as we were, and it made for such a great evening! First round of food to come out were shrimp deviled eggs, which were a deliciously perfect two bite hors d'oeuvre. Next up were I believe crab cakes and boudain balls which were perfectly seasoned and just enough kick to wake you up! Then for the oysters, I met Grayson who was kind enough to share an order of his with me, they were chargrilled and oh so delectable!!! Perfect bite on their toasted bread, to sop up the remaining juice from the shell!From the photos it looked like there were a few other items served up, but I unfortunately had to leave before the end of the event. I want to give a huge huge thank you the all the staff, the servers were amazing, Gabby behind the bar, was whipping those drinks up and had the best smile! And to mgmt team of Rouxpour, you should be proud, your staff showed some beautiful southern hospitality! And lastly but not least, Yelp, Jando, & Farrah! I don't even know where to start with this review...let's start by saying Thank you Jando for a great event! This event had all the right elements for an amazing night. From the moment we walked in the service was top notch. After checking in and getting our name tag and drink tickets, the first step was the bar. Gabby did an awesome job making sure my cup was never empty. Those Mexican Martinis were amazing! I would go back just for the drinks. There was a wide range of food served. I didn't get to try everything but that was my fault as I was busy catching up with people I haven't seen in a while and making new friends. It probably didn't help that I never left the bar area lol. I did try the deviled eggs with andouille sausage, which were really good. I also had some crab cakes and boudin balls. Both were cooked perfectly and had great flavor. But my favorite dish was the shrimp gumbo! This was probably the best gumbo I've ever had. It was so good I made sure to get a second serving. Thursday night shenanigans at its finest! Katy is indeed a drive from the Land of Pears, but well worth it. I had the great fortune of being off this day, so I headed over to Katy on the early side to beat the traffic. I have never been before, so everything about this place was new for me. I have been to a bunch of other places in this plaza, but not The Rouxpour. Parking was a breeze, huge lot, spaces errywhere. My entourage and I arrived about 10 minutes before kick-off. We were preceded by many a yelper. Again, a lot of new faces. I like seeing the community grow! THE Farrah A. was running the front table while THE Jandeaux was scanning folks in. The staff were ready for us, which I greatly appreciate. We're not necessarily an easy crowd. The mimosa's were good, but would have preferred to sample their signatures instead. I also ordered an old fashioned twas much better. The foods! There was what appeared to be bread and fondue at a side table, but I never made my way there. The Deviled eggs were the first thing to hit my face. They used some of the filling under the eggs to keep them from sliding. A new trick I will be using for my own Bedeviled Eggs. They were good, but the taste could be louder. The Salmon Cakes were next on my evening bingo card. These were so good! I've never had salmon cakes before. If these were AYCE..... Crab cakes came up third, and they were good. But not as good as those salmon cakes. Oysters mad an appearance this evening as well. Who doesn't love a good slurp?! Bakes with some crumblies, and spinach. Very tasty. The Gumbo was really good too. They had a dark roux going, it had flavor and a little spice to it. I would come back for this. What a great time last night. This was my first time at a Rouxpour and I was excited to come because I love me some good ole Cajun food. We came a few minutes early and it was nice that we could immediately proceed inside without having to wait in line outdoors until the start time. Upon entering, we were given a drink ticket and raffle ticket. It was also great to see Farrah again! With my drink ticket, I got the manmosa, which was their twist on a mimosa. It was served in a cute plastic champagne flute. I also got their Mexican martini, which is basically a margarita with a splash of orange juice, served in a martini glass. Both were really good! The Rouxpour has their cocktail game down, and Gabby behind the bar took great care of us. For food, I was able to sample the crab cake ball and the seafood gumbo. I'm not a huge fan of crab cakes, though I still wanted to try it. It was a nice bite-size that was fried to a crisp on the outside. I'm sure crab lovers would enjoy this one because it had a strong crab flavor! The gumbo was also delicious and contained sausage, shrimp, and rice. It came out hot but ready to eat in a small plastic cup. Thanks to Jando, the Yelp Houston team, and the Rouxpour Katy for having us last night! This was a great event setup by Jando & Farrah. Rouxpour is located in La Centerra. I have visited this location before but never for a Yelp event. Parking was in the garage unless you were lucky enough to get a spot close to the restaurant. We had many different appetizers that we were able to sample which the best was the gumbo and the char grill oysters. We also had an opportunity to try some Boudin balls and crab bites. They were also very good and a ranch water drink. There were many yelpers there some that I had met before and some new ones and everyone seemed to enjoy the event. The oysters were my favorite. They have over five different types that they serve. I had to buy a half dozen myself just to try them out . This was a fairly large event for the number of Yelp that were there usually not that many but some that have never been here before. I'm sure they will be back. read more

Always want to start by saying thanks to the Rouxpour staff, Jando, and the rest of the Yelp staff for putting this night together. It's always tough to host an event while the restaurant is still operating for its regular patrons. With that being said, it was just a little chaotic with all the Yelpers being placed on one side of the bar, standing room only at small cocktail tables. There were regular patrons seated at the bar and I felt bad for them being bombarded by us. We were each given a drink ticket to redeem so people started lining up at the bar. However, a server came over to me and took my drink order instead. She was pleasant and gave me recommendations, however when she came back with my drink, it wasn't even the drink I ordered. There was just a lot of confusion I can see - some servers were taking tickets for the drink orders while some were not; some people could only order certain drinks while others were able to order whatever they wanted; servers being lost with who ordered what drinks. The food would come out, but you would either wait for the servers to come to your table or you'd have to insert yourself and grab a sample before it's all gone. Didn't know how many different types of food we were going to sample, but stuck around until pretty much the end. I'd probably say my favorites were the oysters and the fondue. I've never eaten at the Rouxpour before so this was a great sampling of what they have. Overall, it was nice to see people I haven't seen in awhile and also nice to meet new people. Okay this one was really fun...and close to home so even better!! They served us a wide-array of options from signature chargrilled oysters, crab cake, Cajun sausage deviled eggs, fondue, seafood gumbo, boudin balls, and possibly more??? I love Yelp Elite Events at restaurants that I've already been to, as it gives me the opportunity to sample items that I normally wouldn't order myself. Only for Yelp will I drive 45 minutes! this drive was well-worth it. What a fun Thursday night spent with (new and old) friends, food, music, and drinks! It was my first time in this area and I didn't realize how big this plaza was. Literally all of the places you can think of in one area. Everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks! Thanks for Jando and Team for another great event. I've heard good things about RouxPour and was delighted to be able to attend this event. Once we checked in, our event was inside thankfully and we had a section of high top tables that were reserved. I loved the boudin balls, crab cakes, and the gumbo. The small bites were great. I loved the peppery kick the boudin balls and gumbo had. The oysters were topped with parmesan cheese and it was ok, I prefer fresh. My drinks were refreshing, which was much needed since it was a bit warm with all of the people in attendance. Big props to the wonderful servers and amazing bar staff, they were so gracious, hardworking and busting their butts to accommodate all of our drink orders. Superb event! Everything was in abundance and a good time. Met a lovely couple, Lizzie & Joel, with great conversation & good vibes. The pianist was also the perfect touch to the night-- thoroughly enjoyed the songs he played. Our waitress, Adrianna was on point! I love Rouxpour but have never been to the Katy location so I couldn't resist this Yelp Elite Event. The restaurant was in a lively area filled with bar and restaurant chains a-plenty. Bakers St, WOB, Grimaldi's pizza, and Nando's to name a few. There was also a Trader Joe's. Parking Free, garage and non-garage parking. A little congestion with others looking for parking spots or leaving and pedestrians walking around. At any rate, wow, my first YEE in a while, my first one this year actually. Your girl even forgot how to check in. Party Pass? Huh? Oh yeah, it all came back to me. Shout out to Jando for his patience. Once checked in I was good to go. I found the Elite area, said "Hi" to a few friends, chatted for a bit, ordered a Topo Chico when a waitress came around taking orders and then headed to the lady's room which was super close to our Yelp area. Food I can't complain about Rouxpour's food. I love it. I was able to try the crab cake, salmon cake, boudin balls, a few of their delectable oysters, the delicious French bread (it was so soft), Alfredo or Fondue? + salad and lastly their gumbo. I unfortunately didn't get to try either of the deviled eggs ( one had shrimp, another sausage). I never even saw the shrimp one, just heard about it. Ambience/Service/Vibe The event was fun, waitstaff courteous but we were kinda mixed in with non-Yelp diners. I also never saw a menu/list of what we'd be sampling which would've been nice in case you wanted to return and eat something you'd tried. There didn't seem to be much order to how they were bringing out the food so if you saw food coming out it was better to try to grab some over kindly waiting your turn. With the drinks, we were given 2 drink tickets but the waitstaff all seemed to be on different pages. I don't recall anyone ever asking me or anyone near me for a ticket. Some of them asked you if you wanted to open a tab, others advised your drink tickets were only good for one of 2 preselected drinks. Others allowed folks to get whatever they wanted with their tickets. At one point when i returned to my table from using the bathroom, my Yelp pal advised me the waitress had brought us 2 drinks. Neither of the drinks were what we ordered. I had ordered a Topo Chico which another server brought out maybe 15 min later. Event speeches It was very loud inside the restaurant. Rouxpour-Katy as I'd anticipate especially on a Thursday night, seems to be a popular and lively place. I unfortunately couldn't hear a word of what Jando was saying when he got up to give his speech. The sound was very muffled and inaudible. With a little strain, I heard a bit of what the GM said. I recall the GM mentioning that Rouxpour is not a part of Landry's but a restaurant all its own. I guess a lot of folks associate it with the Landry's brand. Entertainment There was a debonair gentleman playing r&b hits on the piano which added a nice flair. Overall, this was a good time and it was great to see Yelp pals I haven't seen in a while as well as make new ones. David, Tyler, Miguel, Adriana, and the rest of the team rolled out the red carpet and treated us like long-lost cousins who finally came back for a visit. The evening kicked off with a drink ticket, because who doesn't love free booze? I chose to have a refreshing manmosa. Later, I followed the crowd and indulged in the Mexican martini--a margarita with Milagro Blanco, splash of orange juice and a Tajín rim so dangerously good, it could have its own fan club. Let's talk appetizers. The crab cakes were like little golden nuggets of joy, and the boudin balls had just the right amount of sass. The spicy gumbo? It didn't just walk in--it strutted in, bursting with flavor. I was pleasantly surprised by the chargrilled Rockefeller oyster (the only way I can handle oysters), and they nailed it! The Cajun deviled eggs, topped with shrimp, took the standard deviled egg and said, 'this is the remix.' And the shrimp & crawfish fondue? Blink, and it was gone. There's nothing quite like good food and great company to make a Thursday enjoyable. It's been a while since I've made it to an event and I'm so glad I could make it to this one ! Not much brings me out to Katy but Rouxpour and Yelp clearly do ! I love a place that has a lot of parking and is spacious ! That being said it became crowded quick (shout out to the elite-ers for such a great turn out!). I met some new friends and was able to join them at a spot by the bar, but I definitely think the elite squad could have used a few more tables in their area. The food was amazing ! While I wasn't personally crazy about the salad and bread, everything else absolutely blew my mind (which was exciting coming from a family with one Cajun parent). All the apps were so flavorful and delicious ! I have to say - the gumbo was my favorite and I'm so glad I was able to stick around for it to come out ! Vibes were so high at The Rouxpour on Thursday! I have to be honest, as an inner looper I'm rarely choosing to drive out to Katy for something, but I'm so glad I heard Jando talking about this event at my first event a few weeks ago! I rsvped with the intention of pushing myself outside of my inner loop bubble and it was great :) with this only being my second event, I was of course still a little nervous of how it would go, who I'd talk to, etc., but I have to give a special shoutout to Lupe for welcoming me with a big hello and hug! It made me excited for the friendships I can build through this Yelp community. And another shoutout to Lynn, who I hung out with pretty much the whole night! Okay all my fuzzy feeling aside, the food was so good!! My favorites were the boudin balls as well as both cakes, crab and salmon. Overall the event was fun and I attribute that to the people I got to talk to! The crowd overall was super great and friendly. Quite a few elites were saying hi to everyone and approaching as if we'd known each other, so honestly it was a refreshing experience. All the food was super yummy but definitely the 2 small breaded items that were given first were my favorite. Gumbo was good but I've had better, oysters great but not the best I've had. My drink (if I remember the name correctly was the texas blueberry martini) was decent. The live music was really nice and overall the look of the place is cute. Can get very loud in there though. Negatives would be how towards the last 30-45 minutes more and more people seemed to crowd around the bar/kitchen exit so they could ambush the waiters to take nearly all the food. 2 rounds of shot glass type drinks came out and LOTS of people (shall I guess half?) didn't get them because some grabbed 2nds. Same with the oysters. Honestly I would've been happier to sit outside because at least then everyone would be seated and it'd be a calmer for the waiters so then everyone could get an equal amount of food/drinks. I know it was hot, but with the fans going outside I think it would've been fine. Also what happened to the 2nd drink ticket? Late to the review party, but just wanted to say what an excellent event this was. It brought me out to a beautiful part of town I've yet to explore, LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch! The Rouxpour was an awesome venue with live jazzy music, a free drink, and numerous samplings off their menu, including lots of seafood items! Always a good time chatting it up with fellow Yelp Elites. There were a lot of people so it got hot inside pretty quick, but super happy that there were hand fans at the tables because I was whipping up myself a mini tornado to cool down! read more

What a fun party! When I arrived, the party was in full swing. Check-in was very smooth and I was ready to use my drink ticket, so headed to the bar. The bar had a bit of a line, but what really impressed me was that a waitress started working the line too, so I ended up not waiting long at all to order. The blueberry martini was delicious! Perfect balance of sweet and light. A little later, the fondue line opened where it was self serve for bread, fondue, and salad. Again, delicious. Then the real fun began - the staff started bringing hors d'oeuvres. It became a little adventure seeing what would be brought out next. When I saw the event at Rouxpour, I knew I had to sign up! The restaurant is in a lively plaza with lots of food options and shopping, plus there's a parking garage nearby if you can't find a spot--super convenient. I got to try the salmon cake, boudin balls, grilled oysters, soft French bread, and Alfredo sauce with salad. Sadly, I missed out on the award-winning gumbo and maybe a few other items. It would've been great to have a menu of the samples to know exactly what I was eating. The way the food was served was a bit chaotic--I didn't want to rush over like some people did, so I missed out on a few things, lol. The ambiance was nice, and I bet it's even better on a regular day. With the large Yelp crowd, I do wonder how the other guests felt about the busy atmosphere. This was a great event. It's always nice to be greeted at the entrance by the wonderful Yelp team who informs you how the event is going to go. It's even better to be greeted w/ free drink tickets. Beautiful hors d'oeuvres were flowing from Cajun deviled eggs to Oyster Bienvilles/Rockefellers to gumbo being passed around. You know the food is on point when the server can't go more than 10 yards before he has to go back w/ an empty tray. We missed out on the boudin balls & fondue but that was our fault because we were a little late. We were also hanging out at the bar socializing w/ people so we weren't actively looking for more apps. Gabby is a great bartender making sure her customers are happy. She informed me when they didn't have a certain ingredient for a drink, and to see if I was ok w/ an alternative. She even made sure I liked it and was willing to change it if needed, which tasted just as perfect. Even though a good number if YEE are at new establishments, hosting every now and then at known restaurants like Rouxpour is nice. Glad to have had the opportunity to indulge in some Cajun bites from Rouxpour- thank you Jando and Yelp! The ambiance was nice, and the live piano music was a lovely touch. The event was sectioned off in an area towards the back, and it felt pretty crammed. Also, it was very loud that I had a hard time hearing my friends & I had to practically shout when I was talking lolllll. I couldn't take many pics of the samples bc it was dark inside. We were served a deviled egg with shrimp, boudin ball, salmon cake, oyster, bread with fondue + salad, and a cup of gumbo. Additionally, I opted for the mimosa, which was a bit strong! My favorites were the egg and salmon cake. The boudin ball and gumbo were packed with so much flavor and had a spicy kick to it. Overall, the event was okay! Just felt kind of chaotic, especially when the servers came out with the tray of samples. By the time it was over, I was like wait that's it? One of the best yelp events this year. Well balanced event; right amount of good food and right size crowd for the venue. We were in the bar area with mostly standing high tops which allowed for efficient use of the space and some mingling. I started with a blueberry martini that was a little sweet but went down very easy. Bite sized hors d'oeuvres made it efficient to serve everyone. Service was friendly and patient with picture taking. I enjoyed the Cajun take on the deviled eggs. The crab cake balls were moist. The boudin balls were very meaty and had a good amount of kick to it. The gumbo had a hearty roux with succulent shrimp and flavorful sausage. I got to try the chargrilled Rockefeller oysters curtesy of Grayson and it was definitely better than the signature chargrilled oysters that we got to try. The creamed spinach kept everything moist and balanced while the signature was a little dry for me. It's definitely worth the upgrade to the Rockefeller. Will come back to explore happy hour and the rest of the menu. The parking was a little tricky since it's in a busy mall. read more

I have been to the Rouxpour in Sugarland but all the items they served to us tonight were new to me except the gumbo which was delicious both times I've had it. They also came around with boudin balls, deviled eggs, crab cakes and oysters Rockefeller- everything was great! They gave us a drink ticket each but some how I always had a drink in my hand. Thank you Jando and Yelp elite squad for hosting this amazing event at Rouxpour. I arrived and got checked in, so excited to meet some new Yelp friends. The night did not disappoint, we had a blast. The vodka champagne was refreshing and on point. I thought we would have to fight for food but we didn't. The room was a packed house of Thursday night exuberance and excitement. Even though it was packed, we had the opportunity to eat some great food and drinks and enjoy each others company. I immediately met 4 new friends and added 4 more before the night was over. The fondue and garlic bread was amazing. We also had crab balls, boudin balls, deviled eggs with shrimp and sausage and I could not eat one more bite(but wanted to) when the charbroiled oysters and gumbo came out. Omg the food never stopped and I was there for it. My favorite would have to be the boudin balls. I will go back another time. I had an amazing time at the Elite Event, surrounded by both new and old friends. The complimentary drinks and appetizers were a nice touch! The service was top-notch, the music set the perfect mood, and the vibes were just right. While not all of the food was to my taste, I really appreciated the chance to sample different options. First and foremost, I like the interior of this location more than Sugarland, and the host I was fortunate to speak to was genuinely invested in me enjoying myself. She also shared that beyond this being their first Yelp event, they also hold a farmers market and car show. Love that! I'd gladly come by when I feel like being in direct sunlight. Staff was excellent and informative, very kind to take a moment to explain what we were sampling. Everything I tried tonight was good and I would've been happy to have more of it! It was a standing event with small samples of food. We tried grilled oyster, shrimp Cajun deviled eggs, gumbo, arugula salad, crab cake, something like a jalapeño ball, something like butter, crispy bread with a nice gravy cream on top, a mimosa. There was also a small cup of something passed around the tables but they completely skipped ours. (Not sure if that was part of the night or someone bought a round of something for half the room?)So I don't think I was able to sample everything? But I really liked the crab cakes, oyster, salad, and the bread. But I was still unsatisfied after the event . :( The decor was super nice. They had a live pianist playing some old school music. We had a section ourselves. I met some awesome people! The staff was very excited and had an upbeat attitude. The place was loud so it can be hard to hear each other. There is free parking out front but it is just easier to park at the garage next to the movie theater and walk a few minutes. The ones on the street are usually filled up already. It'll be nice if the staff can put a small menu on the table so we know what's samples are coming out. The restaurant was really hot but it's like 100 degrees this week in town. The floor plan is very open and helps the smaller venue look bigger. Unfortunately, with so many people, it was very hot, even inside in the AC. The bar was overall crowded so the bartender forgot my drink for a few minutes, but that's not the end of the world! The salad was fine, but everything else was AMAZING!!! The fondue on the garlic bread was fabulous, with just the right amount of kick. The deviled eggs were delicious and I could have eaten 100 of them. read more

Fun night in Katy! We had a great time checking out the Rouxpoux. This was my first at this location. I got to try a few items that I haven't tried before but the crab cakes were my favorite of the night. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. So nice seeing old friends and also meeting new friends. We were able to mix and mingle throughout the night. There was also live music and the place was booming. This was fun! A big thank you to The Rouxpour in Katy and Yelp. The event took place around the bar area, offering drinks and small bites. My favorites included their baked salmon bites and baked oysters. A variety of food options circulated among the group, including salads and what could be described as a fondue. The most memorable part of the event was the group itself, along with the beautiful space and super-friendly staff. The Restaurant & Bar is located in a large space within the La Centerra shopping center at Cinco Ranch. I look forward to returning. Five stars. read more

This venue was huge in terms of size! Perfect for large gatherings as well as intimate ones! It's situated next to a lake with the most stunning water fountain! There are lots of other retail stores and restaurants next to it. Plenty of parking in nearby parking garages. In case you're wondering, parking is free. I really loved their drink menu as well as regular menu! We got to sample their gumbo, oysters, deviled eggs, salad, crab cakes, and garlic butter bread with cheese fondue! All very tasty! If I had to pick, it would certainly be their charbroiled oysters! Loaded with savory garlic Parmesan and Cajun flavors, charbroiled over a hot grill! They come sizzling hot! The Rouxpour Restaurant & Bar Katy is located in the La Centerra shopping center at Cinco Ranch. I came about 8 minutes after the time and was pretty impressed that the majority of the Elite were already inside and nibbling on appetizers. I was greeted by Jandooooo and Farrah. Then Jando introduced me to the general manager, Dave, who was so gracious. He seemed genuinely pleased that we were all there! I walked in and took a gander at the bar area. I was quite overwhelmed by the amount of Elite's chatting and standing around. Here's a list of the things I tasted: *Crab Cake ball: Lump crab infused with spices dressed in creole mustard aioli, seared to perfection & served with remoulade *Boudin Ball: Panko crusted boudin balls fried until golden brown, served with buttermilk ranch *Cajun Deviled Eggs: Deviled eggs filled with creamy mustard & horseradish-infused egg yolks. Topped with blackened shrimp or sausage. I also was delightfully refreshed by a virgin mojito and a virgin margarita. The virgin mojito had to be doctored up with simply syrup. The virgin margarita that my fav bartender, Adrianna, made was perfection! I had to grab a 2nd! Yummmmmmy. She catered to our little group all evening and we were so well taken of! With all this splendor...I was gasping for air allllllllllllll night. It was a travesty. I'm hot-natured and it's summer in Houston. CHECK ON ME!!! my GOODNESS. It was sooooo bloody hot and humid, I can't say that I had the opportunity to truly enjoy myself. I wish the staff had fully prepared for us in that way. There was a time I literally had to go away from EVERYONE because I was overheating. I know I'm old, but I'm not THAT old! Geeee whiz. The paper fans supplied by Yelp helped a tad but it was a tiny band-aid for the massive problem. At this juncture, I was just truly hoping that I would get to try an oyster so I could head home to shower again. I was miserable. Low and behold, two beautiful trays of Oyster Rockefeller came out and they were illuminated by my desire! I tried two, drank the rest of my margarita, said my goodbyes and head OWT. Immediately in the car, I blasted the AC, took my hat off...and my hair hat. Lol. Immediate relief. Also... You can tell how hot it was because THE LACE ON MY UNIT COMPLETELY LIFTED UP. (you can see it on allllll of my pics) I'm not embarrassed. I needed proof. Hahaha. Regardless, I'm so glad I had a chance to visit this location. I'm used to the one in Sugar Land but the layout here was better and more appealing, though seemingly smaller. Any time I'm in Katy, Dave told me to stop by and I will do just that! As they say in New Orleans, "laissez les bon temps rouler!" For anyone who doesn't know French, sorry, not sorry. It was an appropriate motto for a fun-filled evening in Katy. I have been to Rouxpour several times but never to this location. I have been to their locations in Webster and Sugar Land (their flagship restaurant). My fellow Yelp Eliters have done a great job describing the dishes we munched on and the entertainment (including live music) throughout the evening. Out of the dishes served to us, the salmon cakes were my favorite. And a treat as I'd never tried salmon cakes prior to this event. Crabcakes for sure. Salmon cakes? Pleasantly surprised. The only real downside to this event was that it was quite toasty. And loud to the point where it was tough to hear. Luckily, the swag for the evening was perfect for the occasion: a Yelp Elite personal fan that plugs into your phone. Houston summers are no joke! As always, it was nice to interact with the crew including Jason, Brian, Jose, Carlos, Cherry, and more while also meeting some new Elites. Another highlight was interacting with Andrea. She's been with Rouxpour for six years and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Shoutout to Jando, Farrah, Yelp Houston, and Rouxpour for giving us a taste of Nola! read more

Wow, what a night. This event was excellent! The drinks were amazing , the food was spectacular and the service was exceptional. This was quite a social event. It was nice meeting new people, seeing old friendly faces while being surrounded by great bites and delicious drinks. Every item that I tasted was incredible, from the oysters to the shrimp devil eggs to the crab boudin balls. The staff, servers and bartender's really did do a great job with being attentive and friendly. Thank you for putting together such a successful event. What a wonderful event!!! Thank you so much to the Rouxpour for hosting us. Adriana and Tyler deserve props for being AMAZING!!! I'm coming back just to see them. They really made us feel like family. Really awesome staff. Walking in we felt welcome from the start. I liked the bar area that they had set up for us. We quickly found a table. The cocktails were so great. I really enjoyed the blueberry martini and the grey goose. The food came out in trays and went around. By the end we were able to try everything. The boudin balls were really good. I loved the fondue on bread. My absolute favorite were the oysters! So delicious. Everything was hot freshly made and yummy. Really great night! This was a great event! The section was pretty crowded, and it took a while to get drinks at the bar and for passed Hors d'oeuvres to start rolling out. The appetizers were delicious though, my favorite were the boudin balls! It was fun to mingle with fellow Elites for this standing event. This wasn't my favorite elite event but it also wasn't the worst event I've been too. Finding park near the restaurant wasn't the easiest but thankfully there was a parking garage located not too far. The staff were all extremely nice and welcoming. The waiter who served me was nice enough to explain a few of the cocktails that they make. Overall, I opted for my favorite Blueberry Cucumber Martini. The space that we were placed; felt a very much small for the number of yelpers who attended. There wasn't enough tables or seats to accommodate the crowd. However, that may have been the true intent and purpose. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try every sample and had only few items. By the time the wait staff got around to my area, the trays were empty. I think the food logistics could have been better planned. The options I did try were okay. I did enjoy the deviled eggs.
