It was an enjoyable event! I go to Santa Barbara often, but I didn't know there was a nice bar, Rodeo Room. The space is not too large, making it relaxing. We had three cocktail choices: Laid Back, La Vie en Rose, and She is Beauty. All of them looked delicious, but I chose La Vie en Rose. It was beautiful, two miniature roses in the cocktail, and tasty!!! Also, we had brussels sprouts ( I love brussels sprouts), tacos, and wings. Everything was delicious. All the staff are lovely. One of the pleasures of attending Yelp events is seeing Elite members, Imo and Jara. The grey Yelp bag is fresh and cute. Thank you so much for a great event, Rodeo Room.

What a fun event! Thanks for hosting us Rodeo Room. First off so glad you have both indoor and outdoor space which made it great for our larger group to hang out and socialize. The drinks were delicious between the Rose one and the cucumber one, they were really perfect cocktails! The food was excellent including the Brussel sprouts, pork tacos and chicken wings! Also ordered the chicken Caesar salad which was really tasty and hit the spot! I'll definitely return as I'm always satisfied with whatever I get there!

I feel like it's been a while since I was able to join an event and I'm glad this was one I was able to enjoy. It was so nice to see and catch up with fellow yelpers and I want to thank the Rodeo room for hosting us. We got some new swag which is always exciting, lunch bag and wine glass. Thank you Jara and Ino. The Rodeo room has such a fun environment, I never even knew they had a cute side patio. The drinks are incredible and they also have a great HH menu. I ended up having the "laid back" drink, it was so refreshing and easy to sip. It contains gin, aloe vera, cucumber, mint, lime and a smoked salt, I give it 10 thumbs up; perfect summer drink. The wings and Brussel sprouts are amazing and were the perfect appetizer for the night. I will definitely be going back and to experience other drinks and food items.

This place was amazing. Such a great event. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by a wonderful team. The drinks were amazing! There was a list of 3 cocktails and 2 cocktails to choose from. I chose the prince lavender mocktail. The food was delicious! The tacos were great. The Brussel sprouts were so good! The wings had a nice kick to them. Such a great event and great venue.

Dark upon entry, but the outdoor patio is warm and vibrant with the plants, wood, and lighting. Brussels sprouts were very tasty, as were the tacos. Delicious Old Fashioned!

This was such a spectacular event! We enjoyed a fancy drink and some yummy eats. It was fun trying new foods and sitting outside with fellow Yelp elites. Jara was an amazing host and did a wonderful job ensuring we had a great time. Thanks so much Yelp for this fun event.

Very cute event. I didn't know the Rodeo Room had the back area. I tried the She is Beauty cocktail and it was delicious!!! I would definately order that drink again. All the food was tasty. Tacos, brussel sprouts and wings were all full of flavor. Met some great new Yelp friends too!!! I checked out their regular menu and plan to come back for the Watermelon Crawl...sounds very interesting!!!

Thank you Jara, Imo and Rodeo Room for hosting such an amazing event! Living in Goleta, I find it hard to come down to Santa Barbara and find these hidden gems. I usually go to my go to fave spots but let me tell you this, I will definitely be coming back. I will admit, I was intimidated at first, entering such a dark setting but once I was able to capture the beauty of this place, I fell in love. I was greeted by the beautiful Jara and immediately felt at ease! Went straight to my complimentary drink and had the option to choose 1 out of the 3 yummy options. I chose La Vie en Rose which consisted of Vodka, coconut, rose, guava, lime and almond. It was absolutely delicious that I had to order another one to keep the good vibes going. Absolutely loved the yummy Brussels sprouts, carnitas tacos and wings. Those Brussels sprouts definitely stole the show! Overall had such a fun night and was very appreciative of being at this event.

Shout out to Imo and Jara for such a great event at Rodeo Room! This is one of my favorite spots in Santa Barbara and I am so happy they were able to throw such a fun event here! The food was dope and I especially loved the Brussel Sprouts. Very flavorful and I could eat a whole plate! The She is Beauty is my FAVORITE drink in SB. If you love bourbon this is your easy choice. A fig infused bourbon and in a smoked vanilla tobacco glass. Robust, smooth and my absolute favorite drink. Love these types of events and I am excited that Imo and Jara threw a home run event here. Cannot wait for the next Yelp event because these recent ones have been on fire!

This fun eventful evening kicked off at the Saint Remy rooftop. Who knew this amazing part of the hotel existed! I surely didn't. The servers were so kind to greet us and we began with a refreshing piña colada drink called "Airplane Mode". This definitely gave me the feeling of being on a tropical vacation. The charcuterie board and Mezze board was such a beautiful presentation. Loaded with meats, veggies, cheese, fruit, olives, warm pita bread and dips. It truly was the perfect noshing food to match the variety of drinks we got to try. The margarita shooters consisted of sweet, spicy and classic. All of them were perfectly made and enjoyable. The balsamic glazed seasonal vegetables were also delicious. The veggies had a nice grilled flavor and the balsamic vinaigrette gave it a nice tangy kick. I also got to try the chimichurri steak bites. Although the meat was a little chewy and tough for me, but the flavor was there. Overall a beautiful event on the rooftop of Saint Remy. As I had never heard of the place I guessed it was a new business. Well, I guessed wrong. I was surprised to learn the place is celebrating 7 years in business. Before visiting Palm & Boy I checked out the photos on their Yelp page. What a beautiful location! I was like, that doesn't look like Ventura to me, that looks like Santa Barbara, wait, did I sign up for a Santa Barbara event? I checked the address. East Main Street, Ventura. Then I clicked on the map. Ah, the place is in Downtown Ventura. That's why I never heard of Palm & Boy: I really don't spend much time Downtown. For sure, on my own, I would have never have found out about Palm & Boy. So I've gotta say Thank You to Yelp for the invitation to this event! The store is located in a really beautiful courtyard, accessed right off Main Street. It really felt more like Santa Barbara than Ventura to me. Like a Paseo Nuevo vibe. I loved the setting. Attendees were afforded their choice of one drink and one food item off the menu. I decided to try a Chai Latte and an Acai Bowl (the Stoke). I have to say, that was one fantastic Chai Latte. Best chai latte I've had locally. I would definitely hit that again! The Stoke acai bowl was wonderful too. What I liked about it was that it was not overly sweet. In fact, it was rather tart. Like it made you kinda pucker up. That tart! And I really really liked the granola they use in their acai bowls at Palm & Boy. Good stuff! So, yeah, another really great YES event, showcasing a wonderful local business that I had never heard of and most likely never would. Thank You for hosting the event Palm & Boy! I look forward to many future visits. Thank you, too, to Yelp for the invite, and to our CM, Jara S. for putting together another fun event! Mikey C says: Palm & Boy, Five Stars all day!

The bakery is located near Arlington Heights, off Washington Blvd. & 10th Ave.; you can't miss the bright red name banner & awning. Upon entering, your senses are hit with baking & cooking scents: pan dulces & pupusas? After selecting my Yelp freebie: Alemana (vanilla muffin pound cake), I asked what's their best seller & got the Quesadilla. It's a sweet, dense cheese bread with a texture that mimics a pound cake. It was really tasty if a tad on the dry side. My son picked the Oreja, literally translates as "ear" because it looks like one. This puff pastry is also called a palmier. It's sweet, light, crisp, & flaky. M says they're way better than Costco's. I also added a Brazo Gitano (strawberry & coconut Swiss/jelly roll), & Guisano (pineapple-filled roll). Although I might have mixed up Alemana & Guisano. I figured this is a mom & pop, so a menu is not probable, & requested the server's help; she was kind enough to take the extra time to provide the names of dulce pans. There's no dulce pan menu, but there is an electronic hot foods menu behind the counter. Not sure of price points, but I got 4 items, excluding my Yelp freebie, for $11.00+. There's a 50¢ surcharge with a cc payment. It would be nice to have placards labeling & pricing the items (sometimes pricing dictates my choices & the quantity). Friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful customer service... my server took extra time to provide the names of the dulce pans & describe what's in them. While I'm not likely in this part of town, I'm definitely a fan of this Central American bakery & will stop by if I'm in this neighborhood. Muchas gracias Yelp, CM Margaret, & La Usuluteca team for my weekend's sweet treats... mi dulce son muy deliciosos!!

I was surprised to learn that Yetz's Bagels owner Daniel Dunietz perfected the recipe through trial and error and an unshaken resolve to bring good bagels to Santa Barbara. Dough was mixed and proofed the night before, so the yeasts had time to make the magic happen. The rolling process was fun, but requires months, even years of practice to perfect the motion in order to get a perfectly shaped bagel in a few seconds. The rolled bagels rested on the wooden boards for a final proof before being boiled in water. The boiled bagels were laid out on traditional burlap covered bagel boards, got a generous sprinkle of toppings, then the bagel along with the board were placed in a hot oven. This allowed the bagels to rise on all sides. Daniel explained that this step is important, but often gets omitted in mass produced bagels. Finally, the bagels were flipped to remove the bagel boards, and the bagels got more time in the oven to finish baking. Of course, all of us had to try a hot bagel with cream cheese on the spot. You can't get anymore fresh than this. Thank you Jara, Imo, Daniel, Carlos, and the rest of the Yetz's staff for creating this memorable event.
