First the other company to weeks to respond to me and after we had the quote I had to call several times and weight days for anyone to respond. The other companies quote was double for the exact same thing that we had ordered except the other company had more stipulations with their equipment. Our president & CEO and entire leadership team were so impressed that they even want to write their own review. Before I could even ask if the mic was fully charged they handed me extra batteries in case anything were to happen. We felt so taken care of and loved their responsiveness and David dedication to the craft that we want to make sure everyone knows about this company. I already had in mind what I wanted but they confirmed my idea for a proper setup when I explained the venue and the audience size. Speakers were quality with no issues, I think one cable had a problem but we had backups so there was no issue to deal with on site, and we paid for cleanup so they came after the event to grab everything. During our planning call, we told him the kind of vibe we wanted for cocktail hour, dinner and the party and shared a playlist of over 200 songs in no particular order and he took it in stride. Actually, he hit it out of the park. I have so many moments I could highlight but two that really stood out: for dinner we said we wanted a chill kickback vibe, mostly 90s-2000s r&b, and I mentioned it'd be cool if people would sing along to a few songs. From the very first track, he was on it, and guests were feeling it, singing their hearts out, it really sounded like we were at karaoke. In fact a couple people hit the dance floor even before food was served. The second moment: during the maid of honor's speech, she mentioned a random song that they were singing at the bachelorette party and despite not being aware of this beforehand, he had it cued up and ready to go once she finished her speech, and it was such a cute unplanned yet memorable moment. So when I found out 3 days before the 6/15/23 event that the event venue did not have a sound system, my contact with State of the Art was the first email I sent. He responded immediately and put me in touch with Kevin and Steve and they turned around a quote in a matter of hours. On the day of the event, Kevin arrived early which is an event planners wish come true and had everything setup and ready to go earlier than scheduled. Bonus points! Super nice people all around and just great to work.
