Then, over the next 10 days, a puddle formed in my garage. I wasn't sure what was happening, but no lights came on the dash, no weird noises were heard, and I work every day. Then, a clunking sound appeared. I brought my vehicle here and showed a video of the sound to their "Master Mechanic," who called it the 'Toyota clunk of death.' They told me how sorry they were but it would be $2,600 for the labor and part. I had my vehicle towed to my friend's mechanic, who told me nothing was leaking from the rear, which is the part of the vehicle the 'replacement' needed to go. The new mechanic only tightened a plug after he visualized the entire underside of the vehicle. Magically, after I informed these people my car would be towed to a new shop, the 'Toyota clunk of death' disappeared.

When I arrived, a service ticket was written and there was a $78 charge when I questioned it. I was told by this service manager it would be reimbursed after they fixed my car no more than a couple minutes later the service engineer came out and said the other screw broke also which they knew that was gonna happen. I am inform them of this the day before they had me sit there one hour and if I didn't ask for my car, I would've been ripped off even more than what this service manager did to me. She doubled the charge to $150 stating they worked on my car for an hour, and their labor are $145 an hour. I was never informed of this from the beginning and if I pay, I would not get my car. Then this female service manager had the nerve to tell me bring my car in for an oil change and she'll give me a credit do not do business with this woman or MTI in Winfield Crownpoint, Indiana.

I first called to confirm that they would work on hybrid vehicles (not all shops will). They said yes, so I had the car towed there. They quickly diagnosed the issue--a missing water-pump belt and a frayed serpentine belt that also needed to be replaced--and had me back on the road in approximately a day. I'm very grateful for this shop. They didn't attempt to upsell me or take advantage of the fact that I was an out-of-state customer with a broken-down car. The stereotypical experience of "be prepared with a wheelbarrow of money if you break down out of state" definitely did not apply here. While the repair wasn't cheap (what car repair is?), I felt the price was fair, and I was very happy to be back on my way home so quickly. I definitely recommend this shop if you need work done on your vehicle.

Within maybe 2-3 minutes they had already ran the necessary diagnostics on the alternator and battery to determine it was definitely the battery. They found that my car takes a special kind of battery that they've never worked with before. That didn't stop them from ordering said battery and having it delivered and ready for me the very next morning. They called me and said they could replace it quickly for me. I drove right over and they stopped what they were doing to quickly replace my battery with the new one. When it was all said and done, they charged me half of what the Subaru dealership said they were going to charge me for the same work. They spent a grand total of a few minutes of my time to get me fully squared away. I, personally, have never received such great service from a repair place. Couldn't recommend them more!

When we got the car back, the AC no longer worked so I took it back in and all of sudden, some other part (the compressor I think) was bad. The AC was working fine before we took it in. Cost to fix something that was working fine before they messed with it? $650. So they had to take apart the entire AC, but somehow that wasn't the issue. I've spent over $2000 with this shop in the last year, but when I politely said I didn't want to have it fixed, Scott became upset with me. Upset because I smelled a rat? I guess.
