The staff has changed, and while I'm sure everyone has busy days, a few employees come across as uninterested and unfriendly. Customer service used to be one of the reasons I loved coming here. I especially remember the gentleman who made the juices--he was always smiling, welcoming, and genuinely made customers feel good. The team at the front counter used to be just as warm and friendly, and that positive energy made the experience special. Lately, I get a very different feeling when I walk in. I usually order a salad or soup along with a smoothie, but the food display has also become disappointing. The salads often look like they've been sitting for days and don't appear fresh or appetizing. I've also noticed that one of the refrigerated display cases has been closed, which unfortunately makes the store feel empty and gives the impression that the location is struggling. I'm sharing this because I truly care about Kreation and want to see this location thrive again. It was one of my favorite places to visit, and I hope management takes a look at the customer experience, freshness of the food, and overall atmosphere. While asking her favorite blended drink, she gave me a few of the most frequently ordered drinks from customers and then told me her personal favorite was the Faster Stronger (Coconut Water, Açaí, Banana, Goji-Berry, Blueberry, Plant Protein, Flaxseed, Cinnamon, Almond Butter). After looking at the colorful menus and taking her recommendations, I decided on the 20-ounce Faster Stronger smoothie. Within minutes, the small place (set up as a counter grab-and-go with a solo table outside) filled up with about half a dozen people ready to order or pick up their drinks. The atmosphere was fast and furious with the buzz of blenders in the air. My drink was prepared within a few minutes. I thanked the hardworking staff and took off, ice cold purple drink in hand. The smoothie itself was a good size for the price ($11.25) and was amazingly blended and perfectly balanced in flavor. Not too sweet, but just right. The combo of the berries with the cinnamon was delicious. I also loved the added plant protein boost. Extremely healthy and tasty! There are many healthy offerings and a ton of seasonal favorites on a rotating chalkboard menu. This storefront also has quite a few parking spaces out front as well as nearby street parking adjacent to the storefront. If you are in North Hollywood near the Burbank Airport, The Juice Parlor is a fantastic place to order healthy and flavorful smoothie, juice and bowl options. Ordered myself a medium bowl covered with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, a touch of granola and some chocolate drizzle in between the fruits and the actual açaí. It was very soothing, refreshing, creamy and tasty. I will save my appetite next time when I go back for some Empanadas. Now I know what the hype is all about. The employee told me she was the manager, which was surprising since I hadn't seen her before and have never had this kind of experience at this location. I've worked as a restaurant manager myself, so I know how these policies typically work, and this felt more personal than an actual requirement. This was an inconsistent and needlessly rigid application of one, especially for a request as small as a sprinkle of cinnamon that had been accommodated before. I'd expect a manager, of all people, to go above and beyond for a longtime customer, not make a small request feel like a confrontation. As someone who tips and comes back often, I'd appreciate some clarity from management on what the actual policy is, and a little more flexibility for something like adding cinnamon to my bowl. But after three visits, I look forward to the dramatic change of scenery that encourages me to get to business with my drafting campaign for the day. It's also nice to be in a place where the real estate feels wide enough that everyone can maintain some sense of privacy, since this NoHo occupancy is the flagship one.
