He also gave dietary and nutritional advice to help me recover from the damage the candida had done not only to my digestive system but to my entire body, diagnosed and treated my hypothyroidism, and used new, relatively unknown treatments as well as meditation and exercise to help me cope with my autism.

I was experiencing severe anxiety as a result of the derealization/depersonalization, racing thoughts, inability to remember things due to the panic attacks (which I wasn't aware were panic attacks at the time). While I described my symptoms in vivid detail, he didn't once consider the idea that I was suffering from anxiety and panic caused by the panic attack symptoms themselves. he suggested many different possibilities such bi-polar disorder, brain damage etc.. this resulted in thousands spent on an EEG scan, and hundreds spent on supplements he recommended. My symptoms got much worse for the months to come as a result of the anxiety associated with my anxiety symptoms. Two years later I am finally receiving proper treatment for something that isn't a very serious thing to have at all.

After seeing probably a half dozen different chirps in the last 5 years, Dr. Huffman is my favorite. He won't try to sell you on a "3 appts a week" plan like some of those other guys, but instead he'll diagnose the problem, provide excellent in-office adjustments, and give you at-home therapy recommendations to help in between sessions. After about 7 sessions over 2 months, he told me that I could just come in as-needed, because he'd already noticed a lot of improvement. I used to sit at a desk all day, and my lower back has been giving me problems for years. I recently moved to San Diego, and I work from home, so now I sit on a fitness orb to help build my core and back muscles. I still do the daily stretches that he recommended, and have even reached out to him to send me recommendation letters and general tips. He's simply a great guy who genuinely cares more about helping people enjoy life in comfort, than making a quick buck. I just hope that whoever I find out here in San Diego will be able to hold a candle to the service I received from Dr. Huffman.

Dr. Huffman performed an assessment and then provided treatment, putting me at ease by explaining everything he was going to do and answering all of my questions throughout the visit. I would highly recommend his services to anyone seeking effective treatment from a compassionate caregiver.

I've had intermittent back problems for a few years, and every 3-6 months, I find I need chiropractic work. In Colorado, where I'm from, it's pretty straightforward to find care, but here, I had no idea where to go, or especially who to trust. Dr. Tickel put me at ease immediately. I really appreciated that he explained each maneuver and/or therapy during the session. He was very compassionate, but very knowledgeable at the same time. I'm a scientist, and I like to know that someone knows their stuff. My back was so much better after the first visit, and after the second, was completely back to normal. I appreciated that tremendously - it was the worst it had ever gotten because I didn't know where to find care. I'll be recommending him to anyone who asks. Immediate relief, and I'm back to working in my garden without pain and riding my horse. Looking forward to hiking next weekend too. I'm very grateful - I wasn't sure I could find a really terrific provider on the very first visit.
