I've lived in NYC for almost a decade, and never have I felt the sense of community more than I did from my time living at 1133. The staff is absolutely wonderful. They were always friendly and welcoming to not just myself, but also my guests. They were organized and professional, and went above and beyond during the Covid quarantine to make sure the building and all of its inhabitants stayed safe. To me, that is priceless. I've lived at the Eleven33 Building since it opened in 2015, and over the years I've seen a clear shift with each change in management--from a place that felt community-oriented to one that increasingly feels driven by revenue. The one constant has been the on-site staff, who are truly outstanding. They're kind, responsive, and genuinely care about residents. In many ways, they're the reason the building still feels welcoming at all, and they deserve a lot of credit for that. 5 stars to the staff, always and forever! At the same time, management's decisions have moved in the opposite direction. The recently announced parking increase--from $400 to $500 (a 25% jump, and effectively 100% since the spot was first acquired)--is hard to justify, especially alongside ongoing issues with the garage door and a consistent lack of improvements. Domain often points to occasional events like breakfasts or social gatherings as part of being community-focused, but those are surface-level gestures. They don't make up for the day-to-day realities residents deal with, like reliable access and fairly priced essentials. Overall, there's a noticeable disconnect between how the building is presented and how it's actually managed. The staff continues to hold things together, but the direction from management feels increasingly focused on profit rather than the resident experience. The parking rate increase is just one of the latest--and most visible--examples of that ongoing trend, which is especially disappointing given Domain's plans to expand in the neighborhood. read more

Management is invisible until you need something, and then they're still invisible. Emails go ignored, security incidents get no response, and any attempt to engage is met with indifference or deflection, or a flat AI-generated response that never addresses the issue. A recent parking rate increase of 25% is another step in massive disregard for long-term residents. read more

I've been in this building for over 3 years now and I couldn't be happier. Out of the 10 years that I lived in NY, I haven't found a better place to be than Eleven33. The staff cares deeply about building a community. Our amenities are always kept in pristine condition (gym, business center, courtyard, rooftop) and we often have community events in the building. My apartment is built well, I don't hear my neighbors, if there is a problem (which hardly happens) the staff comes as soon as possible to address it. Overall the best place I ever lived and plan to live at Eleven33 for the long term. read more

This building used to be so wonderful... until this new building manager Rosy Rivera took over. The increase in dog pee is forgivable...and "Rosy" would only blame the staff anyway. But it's the harassment that gets under my skin - slumlord stuff you only hear about. I lived there for a while and never thought I'd leave, but then it happened. It's not just the tenants suffering under Rivera, it's the remarkable staff too. It's sad someone made the mistake of hiring Rosymar, because the owners had done quite well...until now. Keep an eye on this building to buy/ rent soon bc this " building manager"is running it into the ground. They'll probably be some deals here soon - just sucks for the investors. read more

My husband and I have been looking for a new apartment in the neighborhood and most experiences have been a broker buzzing you into the building and standing around while you scope out the place on your own. The broker you're going to pay an insane fee to... for nothing. Eleven33 have their own leasing office, and when we went to view apartments we met with Ereny. She gave us a full tour of the available apartments, the building, all amenities, and information on what life is like living at Eleven33. She brought us to an office to discuss our options and next steps after the tour and offered water, tea, or coffee. It was, by far, the most enjoyable, informative, and professional apartment viewing I have experienced and it make me very comfortable with applying for an apartment there. *Fingers crossed* read more

We lived there for 2 years and only moved when our visa expired and we had to relocate to Canada. It's hard to imagine a better place to live in NY. The area is super quiet. The amenities & the staff are great. The view is awesome. And then the apartment itself is better than every other apartments we visited before moving. 2 walk-in closets, tons of storage, tons of light, large rooms that fit a king bed easily with space to spare... 25min to Grand Central on the 7 lines, that was very cool too. The team at 1133 makes me feel like a movie star. If anything in my apartment needs service I request a repair and within 24 hours it's magically working again. I haven't had to change a light bulb for myself since I moved in. My cleaning lady is so highly zealous she knocked the glass out of position on my microwave and within an hour I had a brand new microwave door - And the entire building is run this way. My finance and I really enjoyed our time at 1133. Its a great community of residents and staff. People say "hello, how are you?" in the common areas (and actually care!) which can be hard to find in this city. The units are spacious, gym is great, and the common areas are beautiful and never too crowded. We always felt safe and well taken care of. After living in several bureaus in the city, Greenpoint remains our favorite neighborhood. read more

Ive been living at Eleven33 for two years and I was one of the first residents when it first opened. Im glad to say that it has been an awesome experience living here! The location is great, especially for someone who drives. You can easily get to most of the major bridges or the midtown tunnel within minutes and you can get to the Triboro within 20 mins. Wburg and LIC are a walk away. With all of the new buildings going up in the area, the neighborhood is rapidly changing and adapting. I think its important to be respectful of the residents that have lived in this area for years. Its unfair to judge the people that live here and say it is dangerous. I see people walk their dogs, families and their children, and women walking without any issues. This is New York! you have to be aware of your surroundings anywhere and everywhere but this would not qualify as a dangerous neighborhood. We experienced some of the slow email responses with Ferdie in the first few months of living in the building. I figured she was being overwhelmed by requests from the people moving in. However, the new management team has been great to work with and they have done a great job of keeping things organized and addressing any issues. My lease renewal went very smoothly and the responses to any of my questions was quick. You can tell that the management is more disciplined in how they operate the building. There is more transparency and consistency in their communications about what is going on and in how they handle daily issues. The Front Desk and Staff are truly exceptional. The amenities, views, and location are great, but what really makes it worth living here is the attention, friendliness, and care from the staff. They keep the building spotless and running smoothly, Theres never a concern that they won't help address, and everyone is just pleasant to speak and interact with.The staff makes it feel like home is where I never have to worry about anything. If something breaks, someone is there to fix it, Everything is kept extremely clean, and they are always able and willing to offer help and accomodation. That level of attention brings a peace of mind that makes this building feel like a sanctuary. read more

Eleven33 is a great place to live. All the staff are simply fantastic and they work so hard to create a welcoming community to come home to. They regularly host residents' events such as karaoke, BBQs, movie nights in the courtyard and parties for the kids. On the first day back to school they had bagels for everyone in the lobby! I've lived here for two years and I love it! When my wife became pregnant we moved to a larger apartment in this building because we didn't want to leave. The building staff is amazing. I was one of the first tenants to move into the building in the spring of 2015. Needless to say I was overexcited to move in. However, my excitement quickly led to disappointment over the two years that I lived there. I will first start with the positives: 1. The STAFF is amazing. They are very attentive, positive, professional and just a pleasure to be around and always willing to lend a helping hand. ...... 2. The building is beautiful, always clean, you can eat off the floor. However, the problem comes when you step OUTSIDE OF THE building. The neighborhood is just gross!! There is a hallway men's shelter DIRECTLY across the street. This is not safe for kids or the elderly. Every day coming home from work or leaving to work I had to cross the street and hold on to my purse. They smoke weed all hours of the night and drink liquor directly in front of the building., sit on the steps... loitering etc... Also on a few occasions there was fights/cursing etc. Don't even think about coming home after midnight, that's when it really gets scary. If I could pick up this building and move it into a different neighborhood, it might be worth the rent but being as though the building is located at the end of Manhattan avenue is it not convenient for travel into the city (G train, slowest train on earth) or ferry, it's a 20-30 min ferry walk and that's if you catch the ferry on time! it's a 20-30 min wait for the next one. Also they sell you on the "experience" of the courtyard and private community center, what they don't tell you use the "community center room" for your personal usage it cost $100 per hour. When you are paying upwards of $4000 in rent a month I would think the community room should be included..... Parking can also be a nightmare sometimes, as there are many new high rise buildings springing up in the neighborhood and unless you are comfortable paying $250- 400 a month for parking, you will be driving in circles trying to find a spot, trying to avoid alternate side parking which is 4 times a week. Overall, I did not have a good experience living here, and the fact that directly across the street there is a halfway house it's certainly not worth the asking price of the rent. I was better off living in bedstuy Brooklyn. read more

The apartments and amenities are ok but there are two major issues here 1. The building manager has no idea how to do her job. She's irresponsible with bills and notices, will send out tons of irrelevant information but then give people 10 hours to move things out of storage or their items will be trashed? 10 hours notice to the garage not being in use so you can't use your car? But won't send an email saying the street is being repaved for informational purposes when they were notified days before. 2. The halfway houses in the area have made the area incredibly unsafe. This is NOT a safe location if you're a single female or family. Not worth the rent, look somewhere else and save yourself aggravation with an unfit building manager and unsafe neighborhood. read more

I will do my best to summarize my experience at 1133. I have lived at 1133 since the building opened in March 2015. Here are some bullet point describing why 1133 is one of the best places to live in NYC. 1. Building is located in the best part of Greenpoint, quiet, no through traffic, bunch of restaurants and bars A+, and it's only starting to grow. (Green point beer and ale coming soon :) 1130 Manhattan ave) 2. Building has amazing amenities - GYM, indoor PARKING garage !!! (affordable monthly rates), Courtyard with BBQ grills, Business Center, Rooftop with killer views, bike storage, Zip Car in the garage, Laundry in some units and on every floor, building is kept super clean, Pet Spa to wash your dog, Storage space in the basement and more little things. 3. What really makes 1133 a great location is proximity to the ferry system, if you work downtown you can hop on the citi bike get to the ferry in less then 10 minutes and enjoy uncrowded boat ride while sitting and sipping on coffee. Nothing can beat that commute, nothing. 4. Having parking garage right in the building is the most convenient living in Brooklyn or Manhattan ever. This parking is operated by your personal building proximity card, no valet parking or other hustle. 5. Building Management team, maintenance and staff are amazing, anything you need will be addressed. Special thanks for all their hard work goes to Sammy, Marvin, Dimani, Robert, Johnny, K, Fernando, and Tony. I'm sure I'm missing some names, everyone working at 1133 is great. 6. Building's management pays for weekly Yoga classes with an amazing teacher at the building for residents, organizes parties such as super bowl, 4th of July and many more. Food and drinks are always complementary. Let me address the shelter situation: On Clay street right across my window there is a halfway house, for all types of people who need help in their lives. There are always a few people that will roll through the system that will be loud or get into a verbal fight with their wifes or girlfriends. it happens. However next block there is one idiot who plays drums in his fancy penthouse in the spring and summer time, he is so obnoxious that he beats all of the shelter people by 10 fold. This is Brooklyn, if you are looking for a quite tranquil place at all times, you might need to commute from Hudson Valley everyday. All and all neighborhood is safe. Look at crime data, nothing out of ordinary for Brooklyn and Manhattan in general. Oh one more thing, building is structurally sounds, I never hear any of my neighbors, water is always hot right away. Little things that make living here great. Probably my favorite place I have ever lived. Great value for the neighborhood. Really easy to get to Manhattan. The amenities are great, the apartments are big, and most importantly the staff are very friendly and easy to work with. Located in the quiet part of Greenpoint which is a huge plus and the fact that there is a large grocery store on the first floor makes it probably the most convenient place to live in Greenpoint. The only reason why I'm even giving them one star is because of the front desk people and the building was built!! But the management was the worst!! I had the most best experience living at the apt because the front desk people are amazing but until I needed to move out dealing with Ferdie at the management was my worst nightmare!! She has no clue how to be professional and knows how to be organized!! We moved out in April and just cleared all issues and got deposit back now!! Ferdie at the management is the worst!! She will do anything to take every penny out of your security deposit! even for one nail hole in the wall!! Lol!!! She tried to take 1000 out of my security deposit and I got it lowered down to 600! 600?!! For putting up few pictures and simple wall shelving that can be easily fixed under 20$!! I lived in luxury properties from silver steins to Avalon and I have never experienced this kind of unprofessional treatment from them and they took out this much money from my security deposit!! No management takes out money for adding nail holes!! Who does that??!!! Also it takes them few weeks to answer one simple question and most of the times she seen your texts because it clearly says it's read and she just totally ignores you! Always says she's in the meeting!! Lol I don't know I really hope high management sees what she's doing and how she's working and fixes to better their management because 3180 for 1 bedroom isn't a cheap rent and people should not be treated this way because the management does not know how to be professional n nice to people who pay that much high rent!! I will tell everyone to never move there!! Seriously the most worst experiences I had dealing with her!! Luxury property is not only luxury because of how nice the place is built...it also comes with great customer service and not dealing with people who has no clue how to be professional...it's really sad coz the place is built so nicely with such amazing front desk people but most definitely management needs work ASAP!! read more

Eleven33 is one of the greatest property in the Greenpoint area. I have lived in here for more than two years, and believe me the amenities that it offers are remarkable. The staff are incredible great, so memorial and friendly that I have made this great space my home. In a daily basis I enjoyed of the Gym, the courtyard, the Lounge and the rooftop deck with one of most impressive view of of Manhattan, just spectacular. All my friends and relatives just love to visit me and are always delight for having a good time in one single space. I am a lover of this beautiful concept of property. I lived at Eleven33 for three years. The building is incredible, and the apartments are beautiful and spacious. It's hard to find a spacious apartment with a walk-in closet and tons of sunlight in Brooklyn (or anywhere in the city!), but somehow the apartments at Eleven33 have it all. The common spaces are always clean and maintained well. Management has done a great job at making Eleven33 a wonderful community, and the building has the most wonderful staff you could ask for. It wouldn't be uncommon for the highlight of my day to be a conversation with one of the staff members when I walked into the building after a long day at work. Even throughout the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic this year, management reached out to make sure I was doing well and to see if there was anything they could do to help. Really great building and community with excellent management and staff that truly care about their residents. read more

While the apartments are quite nice and the facilities are decent, the management of this building have no interest in the welfare of their residents, beyond ensuring that they pay their rent. We had some extenuating circumstances that meant 6 months into the lease my wife was unable to work and therefore we needed to find a replacement for our apartment in order to honor our lease. The management showed no sympathy for our situation and did not follow through on any offers to make this process a bit easier for us, in fact they frequently ignored repeated attempts to contact them and showed up late to pre-arranged meetings, and even didn't show up to two of them, without offering an apology. Bearing in mind we were one of the first tenants in the building which meant we to put up with all the teething problems, which included our mail not being delivered for 6 weeks, and the management failing to mention this. Having just moved to the US we were left waiting for bank cards, social security numbers and most importantly my wife's work permit, which delayed her starting her job. We left the building with a significant bill for repairs, which we weren't given the opportunity to correct ourselves, despite offering to, and were ignored by the President himself when we tried to bring the matter to his attention (he had previously offered us a concession on our final month's rent as they were struggling to fill our apartment). Provided nothing goes wrong, you'll probably have an ok time here. But they're a company that will, with no sense of irony, put on a 'Residents Appreciation Morning' where you get a free bagel on your way to work, but when you come to them with a serious issue, will treat you like an inconvenience. I think they'll struggle to keep this building full with the other new builds going up around it, the halfway house opposite and their mercenary attitude to the people that actually pay the bills. read more

The building is new, kept clean and it have lot of free services. The good things you may find at http://1133manhattan.com , so I concentrate on what you can't find in ads. Not all apartments have stone countertops and stainless steel appliances. The lower priced apartments have regular plastic laminate countertops and cheep black painted appliances. The heater sound like a jet engine and is not able to keep temperature, it is strongly affected by the outside temperature. The air conditioning is very noisy. Light fixtures are only at entrance, kitchen area and in walk in closet. If you like the intimacy of candle light this may be place for you. The lease prohibits attaching anything to the floor and walls without permit from the building, so the pictures on the building web site with curtains are little bit misleading. Privacy is limited. There are cameras in common areas, the doors have gaps under and around them, so going through the corridor I can clearly hear conversation of the other tenants. Concierge not only provide service, but also notice if you bring female visitors when your wife is out. Do not expect greeting from them, or any building stuff member. The neighborhood is quiet in daytime except for the bus, but quite noisy after sunset. There is rock club from one side and homeless shelter from other. The patrons like to hang out and with beverages and substances consumed get more excited. I consider to be exceptional day falling asleep not hearing somebody to yell profanities. Then between midnight and 4 am is time for garbage tracks. The restaurants and deli stores produce daily dose of garbage, and everyone use different company. Then at 5 am is time for deliveries. The Windows do not provide meaningful insulation. The worst from my point of view is the arrogant building management. They were really nice until I moved in. Then I was asked to sign all in the apartment is OK. I said I want make exception for small damage I find. The reply was "Do you wanna fight with Me?" The management do not view tenants as partners, they see them as subjects who deserve punishment if they don't obey. They practice zero tolerance policy and confrontational approach, depending on power of big company and they lawyers. Management own mistakes are considered as matter of course and shouldn't be mentioned. If the apartment lease is restrictive and you may get evicted for smoking in your apartment, even occasionally, the storage cage lease don't have any rights for lessee, only restrictions. Recently the building got opportunity to make more from the space, so they gave lessees 4 days to move out until they cut the lock. Late payment don't mean letter or phone call, but blocked access to your things and fine. read more
