We set up a consultation through email and went in person to meet with a jeweller. The first consultation was fairly quick. I knew what I wanted already (a salt and pepper diamond engagement ring) but went in person with my fiancé to get a better understanding and gauge of what we wanted. He picked out a beautiful engagement band for himself that we later customised for him. For my ring, however: we had an idea and Olivia (who is no longer working at the store, but still creates jewellery that is AT the store) helped us and it took a week to source the stones. We found the perfect one within our budget, and gave them a deadline. I'm giving five stars because the service was impeccable. We did have a snag in that the setter placed the stone in wrong and we were disappointed and worried we would not have the ring in time for our trip. They even gave us options, both of which were disappointing but understood with the time crunch of the holidays. At the last minute, the setter changed their plans to accommodate their error in setting the stone. Got our ring in time. Turn around for customs is probably around ~2 months if you're fast.
