I am so glad I found him, and I highly recommend him while on vacation or for long term maintenance as part of your wellness routine. It's hard to find good chiropractors, and I was amazed at the time he spends to relax the muscles before adjusting, stretching, discussing the areas that need attention, showing stretches to do daily, etc. He has been practicing for over 30 years and it shows. I really appreciate him squeezing me in last minute as well, which was ideal for my vacation. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area and will tell my friends who live here.

I haven't needed chiropractic help in quite awhile, but a friend went to him recently and was raving about him, so I recommended my husband who was having lower back and hip trouble pay him a visit. He squeezed my husband into his schedule and spent quite a bit of time with him, showing him stretches, gently massaging, gently manipulating and really taking genuine interest in his issue. Dr. Dean truly loves his profession and helping his patients. Given the amount of time he commits, his fees are surprisingly reasonable, especially in a resort community. I can't recommend Dr. Dean highly enough (and I love his new location!)

I have a recording of a consultation with a Doctor at Panorama Orthopedics where he tells my wife…read moreas plainly as he can (with 3 interns in the room) that nothing, absolutely nothing, could be done for my Wife's shoulders short of complete replacement. We sought a second opinion from Dr. Dorf. Now, Dr. Dorf is a straightforward guy - about as straightforward as they come - but he is also a professional and he didn't bash the previous doctor, but the look of complete puzzlement by this previous diagnosis was difficult for him to hide. He felt he could give immediate relief with a cortisone shot - which he administered himself. The previous doctor told us that even with his 35 years of experience he couldn't get a shot in the right place without ultrasound guidance. Dr. Dorf didn't have this issue. He was confident he could get it in the right place - and he did. Again, the puzzlement was difficult to hide - but no bashing. ;-) After reviewing the MRI provided by Panorama (the same MRI the previous doctor used for his diagnosis) he gave us the opinion that he could scope her shoulders and give her years of less pain and he did not feel that replacement was something that should even be on our radar. She had bone spurs, partially torn rotator cuffs, arthritis, scar tissue. Dr. Dorf "clobbered" the spurs, fixed the cuffs, took out the biceps tendon and cleaned up the rest. Why couldn't the other doctor do that? Perhaps skill has something to do with it. What a difference. Our original diagnosis was disturbing to say the least, but i guess when all you have is a nail, the answer is always a hammer. Dr. Dorf is on a whole different level. To put it bluntly, this guy knows his shit and isn't afraid to do the right thing for his patient - even if that requires some stern advice on recovery from time to time. Additionally his support staff is awesome. Annie in particular was so great. She called us promptly every time we had questions and didn't mess around when it came to making sure my wife was taken care of in the best way possible. My wife also had trapeziectomy on both of her thumbs. the result is 2 thumbs, way up! If you go to Dr. Dorf prepare yourself for great care, great advice and counseling, and most of all - great confidence that the right thing is being done by the right people. Hopefully Dr. Dorf lives forever because we plan to, and we will never use another orthopedic doctor. Thanks Doc. :-)

I don't get them that often, but I have had some really enjoyable ones at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. As well as some solidly useful ones locally. Normally I prefer something a little less "traumatic" than deep tissue massage. However, based on my current restorative needs, I let myself be talked into that type of massage. I'm not saying that the massage was not without its painful moments, and there were several of them. However, I am sitting here seven hours later, and feeling better than I have felt in weeks.
