I had no way of knowing my phone was necessary. The instructor was rude and said "you have 5 minutes to figure it out or you can't take my class." You would think they would have back up paper copies in instances like this. The information could be inputted into her system after the class?? The lack of customer service at this studio is appalling. Needless to say I will be trying out a different Pilates studio. It's sad, I really liked the vibe and location of this one.

With this offer I was able to jump start my wellness journey with my hubby. I started with reformer Pilates. Loved the Pilates mat class with Sheri who is a fun free spirited soul! I fell in love with their yoga classes. First, they offer quality instructors such as Suzy Gill for candlelit yoga, yoga flow, Emily Morrison for flow and power classes, Danielle J who does a mean Friday night power flow, yin yoga and sound with Christine is also a rejuvenating treat. My hubby also liked these classes someone who's not done yoga in the past. Also loved Daniel Heads Saturday hot yoga classes but it was obvious that everyone else did as the class was also SO FULL! I come here thinking "I'm so blessed to be here!" Thank you Live Metta!!! So glad they take ClassPass as well for their mat classes! Wish they also offered the reformer classes on ClassPass.

Wendy saw me eating a burrito on a bench and offered me a free class. I took it, and I loved it! The studio is clean, the equipment is kept up, and the teachers are consistently excellent. I modify for injury and I feel supported by the teachers. I never feel like I am less while I take class because I can't do exactly what the exercise is. Actually one teacher remembers and reminds me to set up my handles as I prepare for class. If you are consistent you will see changes, welcome changes in stamina, flexibility, strength, and body composition. My stomach that used to be in the way is much smaller now when I move! I am thankful my old form is coming back again. This place is a godsend to working single moms like me.

Barre3 is a fitness studio with a few locations and I happen to have a location in Laguna Niguel in…read morethe same plaza as Whole Foods. I had meetings in the area so I used my classpass app to book a Barre3 class. When I arrived to the studio, their front desk and day care staff were both waiting outside since one of them had forgotten their key. We were unable to get into the studio until the instructor came in. This means less time to settle in before class. Per the first timer usual, there was a waiver to sign for the studio. This waiver was on paper and lengthier than standard. I prefer the more efficient digital waivers and it would be more efficient to fill this out prior to class, like other studios on classpass can do. They have lockers but I'm not a fan on the size of their lockers. It was tall but not wide. Not good for fitting my purse. I had to rearrange my belongings. For all the parents out here, you would love that they have a child care area which services you can reserve ahead of time. I don't have kids so I don't care too much for this feature. Also their parents had to take them to the restrooms before class started so I was unable to use the restroom before class. The studio was cutely decorated. These extra touches... I also don't care too much for but I imagine some folks enjoy it. I like that the studio space was wide at first but upon entering the studio I immediately felt the graininess of their floor. It was a cork like tile that might be old or not placed down well to begin with because you can feel the transition between tiles. Not smooth like the wood flooring or carpet. Also my feet were clean when I came in but all dirty upon my exit. Our instructor for the class was Jessica and she was nice, positive spirited, high energy throughout the class. She kept shouting out instructions and motivating us throughout class. Props to her for being able to speak the whole time while mostly doing the work out with us also. Unfortunately I didn't feel like the work out was intense enough. The Barre3 classes combine barre, pilates and yoga concepts but most of their classes are 45 minute formats with a few 60 minute classes. The 45 minute class was not intense enough for me and I felt like a lot of that time was the warm up and end of work out stretch. The one nice thing is that after class Jessica asked us to set aside our equipment to the front and that the studio would take care of cleaning it. That saved me a bit of time to finally be able to use the restroom and run off to my next meeting for the day. Even if Barre3 was more local to me, I would still choose other work outs over this one.

Every move was shown with a modification for the complete newb to the advanced. As I looked around the room, I noticed so many different types of women were taking the class and I think that is so cool. It's easy on the joints and yet you will still sweat and feel the burn.
