The next week I wanted to speak directly to the Pastor (we were going to tithe $10,000), but the office insisted on knowing why. I told the office clerk that it was something personal. Very friendly, warm, diverse environment. You will notice the pastoral staff on the forefront making contact with as many attendees as possible. Worship and message were user friendly, easy to digest, and the message given by Virginia on Mother's Day was sprinkled with humor with honesty. We enjoyed our experience here. What an incredible orator Pastor Mauricio is. What a gift it is to move so many people (during his message spoken) to tears as he did I, and my friend. We were "church hopping" on EASTER Sunday. We had come from the pageant at Vasquez Rock at daybreak, had a breakfast on Main Street, and afterwards went on a lovely stroll. I told Randy that I was always was curious what it was like inside this church as we passed it and heard rock and rollish music coming from within. I said let us peek in and so we did. After the religious rapper and the band ended we knew not what was next. Pastor Mauricio stepped on the stage and immediately captured my attention. When he finished delivering his Easter message I just said "wow"....that was unexpected.....and I told Randy that this pastor is very good at what he does and loves what he does. He left a strong impression. Not that I will join, nor looking to join.....I was joined in the heart for this day. I will very likely include another visit to this church on my next visit to Newhall just to hear what Pastor Mauricio has to stay. I definitely look forward to experience his speak again. I had been church hopping for years looking for a place where both my daughter and I can receive and grow in the Word of God. I attended a few services off and on from end of 2017 till current date. I've noticed a few changes from the last time I attended and love what they've done. There are members greeting you, opening doors for you, helping you cross the street, making way for you to get to the children's check-in with a friendly smile. I feel like it's a red carpet treatment. I love their church app. I can see all the event information, catch a recording of their live series preaching and I can give my tithings and offerings electronically. I'm not one to carry cash on me so this is very helpful to me as I was able to continue giving during the time I was not attending. I've always loved the worship. The Holy Spirit moved me from first visit. I'm a crier so I had to stop wearing liquid eyeliner to keep it from running down my face making me look freaky. The messages from Pastor Mauricio have been touching my heart. I made excuses about not receiving from pastor's messages last year but after this Sunday's preaching I realized I was full of myself and received confirmation that God spoke to me through this Sunday's message.
