Do not use this company. They do crappy work and don't stand behind it…read more I hired them to rework my sprinkler system to accommodate new plantings along my back fence. After paying them to do the work my plants all began to die because the adjustments they made didn't work. I called the owner and after he came out and inspected their work he agreed it wasn't done right. However, he couldn't come to do the corrections for weeks. By then of course the plants had all died. When he did come he gave me a "discount" to do the work that should have been done the first time. No acknowledgement for the thousands of dollars of plantings that I lost because of their shoddy work. Recently I purchased all new plants and had them installed. Within weeks they started looking withered. After close inspection rather than doing the job correctly I find out he installed a drip line along the 200 feet of my back yard rather than targeted spray heads that any legitimate irrigation company would have installed. Not only is the drip line not working effectively I have to run it for hours each week and much of the water is being wasted watering the large gaps in between the plants. After realizing this I reached out for a third time and was told it was my problem and I needed to be watering more. If I wanted it changed I would need to pay him a third time. Absolutely ridiculous. If I could give less than 1 star I would.

Dyess Irrigation stayed on the job until they solved the problem. Prices are very reasonable and fair also. If I could I would bump it down a half-star to 4.5 only because they get backed up and it can take several days before they can come out - a sign that they are busy and doing well, however. Yelp apparently doesn't like Dyess Irrigation using Facebook as their business site, so I have to put it in this comment: https://www.facebook.com/dyessirrigation/

We have been in our home and property for 23+ years. We have used many Landscape Companies and…read morehave never been satisfied until we discovered James Landscaping. We had a large scope (our property is over 7 acres) and spent about half a day walking the property and discussing our thoughts. When we received the design, it was almost perfect! But we knew the design was the "easy" part...the execution of the design was the difficult and more important part of the project. Well, we can hardly find the right words for how smooth the installation happened! The installation Team was absolutely amazing! The Supervisors communicated great during the project but what really exceeded our expectations was the very few questions they had to ask us. That was because the Design was so well documented, the install Team had a near perfect roadmap to make the design come to life. All members of the team were friendly, professional and had a strong desire to satisfy our needs. They also exhibited tremendous respect for our property. They were careful with driving their large trailers and they cleaned up the property EVERY day during the install! That's right! They cleaned up every single day! One of the biggest challenges we've had with other Landscapers was poor planting techniques which resulted in plants dying. This is one of James Landscaping's biggest strengths. They took great care when preparing the beds before planting. They removed about 8-10 inches of soil and replaced with an excellent mix of soil and compost. We know this will result in all the plants developing strong roots for lasting health in our crazy Texas weather. We highly recommend James Landscaping for your landscaping projects especially very large ones. Unfortunately we know the initial and ongoing costs of poor landscaping (especially for large properties). We are VERY fortunate to have used James Landscaping...we wished we would have used them 20 years ago!!

I had a hard time walking on the existing walkway and had to be careful not to trip or fall. As the new walkway was being installed, I noticed the workers using string, levels and tape measures to ensure the walkway would be leveled. I also noted the amount of time they spent to chip away each flagstone so that it beautifully fit together. It made me feel that I was truly getting a custom built walkway. Since completion, I have felt very safe walking on the walkway and never get the sense that I'm walking on flagstones. My yard had several areas where I had a hard time growing plants. They filled in empty areas with native plants. They did an incredible job and I'm very, very pleased.

When Cynthia came out to do a walk-through, I was able to walk with and talk to her about what we needed. I knew right away we wanted to work with her. She is up-front, honest and helpful. There were no hidden costs anywhere. In fact, she even gave us the option of calling her sod dealer ourselves so that we could pay them directly. She called them and placed the order, and then we called and paid them for it. The sod was delivered to our house Saturday morning and her crew had it installed and everything cleaned up before 6:30 that same evening. They even checked all of our sprinkler heads to make sure everything worked properly before they left. She treats her employees very well and it shows in their work. We are using her again for another project as well, and I will absolutely recommend her services to anyone I come across!!
