Very relaxed and helpful when I went and had my massage. Ended up signing up for a membership about half way through the month that would begin at the 1st of the month. Wanted to cancel and the lady I talked to on April 29th said she canceled the membership but still on the first or was taken out of my account. Sign up process has forms that, lets face it, no one really thoroughly reads. It's too much and is legalese. (More on that later) They have Masseuse ratings which is honestly more confusing than it is helpful. Most are a 2-3 anyway, I was told. If there aren't helpful distinctions, it's useless. Imagine going in Yelp and everything is rated a three! There's a sheet you fill out describing at length what your likes, dislikes, preferred concentration areas, etc. are. Then, they just continue to ask over and over for each and every session all of those things again anyway, so why waste my time filling out the form when I only have to verbally repeat myself every visit? Good idea in theory but in execution it doesn't serve it's purpose. My personal experience was that older males felt uncomfortable massaging me. That made me uncomfortable, then. I began to tell them, unfortunately, to exclude that demographic when I made new appointments. I'm not paying all this money to feel uncomfortable or have my nude body touched by someone who lacks confidence in their job and ends up making me feel funny. I did find one younger female masseuse that I liked a lot. I'd have kept seeing her if it for the rest of what happened. They regularly had cancellations and rescheduling with me. Their scheduling system was always to blame, which it's an inconvenience to customers. Fix your system and stop calling me with appointment changes. I'd even be embarrassed in my personal life rescheduling with my friends that much! And that's personal, let alone a business! They have these coupons that aren't easy to use as there's often some exception or time frame. And for Peters sake get digital coupons! People (not even me) would forget their paper ones and then with the strict date, would try to use them and ask to bring the paper next time. I guess it happened too may times and right in front of me the manager told the receptionist that if she took off anymore coupons (in good faith) for customers that didn't have them in person, it'd come out of her paycheck! I'm disgusted they treat employees like that! I'm disgusted they'd talk to her like that in front of customers! And now they want her to be the face of the company dealing with customers?? If you don't treat employers right, how in the world do you expect that trickles down to customers? Ugh, idiots! What's more is the fault's on them!! Fix your coupon system! Track coupons in your system digitally! Don't burden your customers that are the reason your business exists! Don't threaten your (already probably lowly paid) staff with payroll deductions! Stop blaming everyone else. Then it got worse. It's most major issue I had was the confusion in the "hold" process. They say you can go on hold anytime. Around the holidays I knew I would be more busy, spending more cash, so I wanted to go on hold. I saw my card charged while on hold. Apparently they decide to remove you from hold status when they want, not when you want. Somehow it got put somewhere in the paperwork AFTER I signed it. Yea, not my date chosen. They literally will charge you without permission and if you never even had a service performed. GTFO. This alone lost my business forever. I have money to spend. I would have kept going. But this alone - we are through. No one decides where my money goes except for me. It's mine. All they have to do is send a letter or email asking permission or reminders to me to consider activating the account again. Easy peasy! The business practices here blows me away!!! Then, as if there isn't enough here... there's more... The freaking owner has this RIDICULOUS, unfair practice of telling customers they must physically show up to cancel. What. So I have to drive out of my way just to say you can't charge me anymore? They made some weak excuse about how their email is setup, or something why I could not cancel over email. Again blaming... it's not my issue and sounds like it could easily be resolved. Your business, you fix it. Figure it out. I'm forever done being inconvenienced. And I'm you target consumer who could've been your customer for years to come. Shame on you. read more

Honestly I never had any issues with this place. They have pretty cut and dry cancelation policies. They're also understanding so if you call them with a little notice they sometimes wave no show/ late cancellation fees. Make sure you know the pressure level you prefer -every message therapist offers different levels. I like very firm/hard- so someone that only does light pressure wouldn't be the best for me. Fairly priced. Standard practice. This is my go to for prenatal massages at the moment :) read more

The massage was great, and the staff was friendly. They really try selling you on their wellness plan for a good part of your hour. My only concern was that we had paid for a 60 minute massage, and probably only got the better part of 30 minutes of actual massage time. Maybe this is normal for the industry. UPDATE- Purchaser of the giftcard called to understand why the extra $10 couldn't be used as a tip. Was told that she rang it in wrong and I no longer have a $10 positive balance on my account. REVIEW- Not happy with my experience. I received a birthday gift card for a massage and I'm moving out of state so I had to use it. The gift giver warned me saying he dislikes this location and found better masseuses at the Brookfield location. Alas, the gift card said it was only for West Allis, so I booked there. 2/10 - massage price intro rate 4/10 - massage 10/10 - masseuse attitude 10/10 - facility 10/10 - parking 2/10 - front desk lady I called the day before to set up appointment. The phone number on the gift card was disconnected. I found one on google, called and was sent to a voicemail (they still were open for an hour). I called the next day to an answer. All good and easy over the phone. Made it very clear that I would be using gift card. Told my masseuse was on the firmer end, I love a good deep tissue massage that borders on painful, so I thought, great, these knots will be gone! When I arrived the front desk was more concerned with up-selling someone who was leaving. I was the asked to fill out profile paperwork. Which I find standard everywhere I've been. Masseuse greeted me, very nice lady. And I hate to write this because I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but I didn't like the massage. Massage was mediocre, I wanted a firm massage! Not a light to, at moments, medium rub on my skin that left me feeling relaxed. She did however focus on my areas I said to, but it felt almost as if she didn't have a clue where or how to find my knots and how to work on them. After leaving the massage room, the front desk lady instantly started to upsell me. I knew it was coming since I had already heard the spiel upon my arrival. I tried to stop her, told her I was moving. She talked as though she was new to sales (I have been in high pressure sales since I left college). She met every objection with a solution. Didn't matter to me, I was clear that I was moving in literal days. She was insistent on them having Florida locations, FYI, the closest one is an hour from where I'm moving. I wish she would have focused on the fact that I was a brand new customer and checked my gift card balance. She told me the total and I said I had a gift card (this would be the fourth time me mentioning this since setting up appointment). I asked her to check balance because "I don't know if there is a added tip on there. I discovered gift card had $89 balance. My massage (1 hour) came to $79 (what price is that for an hour massage, I'm a first time customer?!) The extra $10 on the card was meant for a tip, was added for specifically that, but I didn't know I couldn't use it for that (nor did the gift card purchaser). I wish this was clear going in, I would have upgraded my massage. Now I have an account with $10 that will be wasted. And don't forget, I was clear over the phone that I was using a gift card. I don't know if I should call the massage place to complain. I'll be gone in a few days what will I gain for my time doing so? read more

I've been a member of Elements for about 6 months now and will continue to be a member for the foreseeable future. Your experience is completely different depending on your massage therapist. I saw a few different therapists before I found the one that worked best for me and my neck issues. If you don't feel your therapist was a good fit, it's definitely worth a trip again to get a massage from someone else. The front desk is very helpful with your pressure needs and can help direct you to the therapist that might work best with you. You can make appointments online or even through text message with them, which is beyond convenient when you're busy and can't make a phone call. Coming to Elements at least once a month has helped immensely with my migraines, especially because your massage is completely tailored to you. read more

Went in for a maternity massage and that was the best thing I could have done for myself. I was kind of skeptical about this place due to the fact there rating weren't to high UT I decided idea to give it a shot anyways. Scheduled an appointment for 3pm showed up at 2:45 due to having to fill out some paper work. They also make you fill out a survey for things I would like and wouldn't like during my massage. I decided to do an hr, and my mass use did a great job. I was even accommodated with a pregnancy tab,etc with the cut out for my belly which was very comfy and helpful. After my massage my mass use came back to talk to me about the areas he worked on what was more tense then others and other massages options they offer if I ever wanted to make another maternity appointment. The staff were very friendly and made thing comfortable unlike some places where you may feel rushed or unrelaxed. Needless to say if I ever needed another massage I would definitely return to this place. They even have a standard package price with locations nation wide just in case you did decided to go with the package deal. read more

Unfortunately I am extremely unhappy with my experiences at Elements. My first visit was incredible which encouraged me to become a member. For the last eight months, half of my appointments have been cancelled within hours of the start time. Ironic when the client is required to give 36 hours notice of cancelation. I have also felt uncomfortable with particular therapists. Now I have four massages remaining on my account that I am forced to use regardless of my account cancellation. I would not recommend becoming a memeber. The services I am paying for are not being rendered. read more

I bought a Groupon for a 90 minute massage. The massage itself was great- but not the full time. My appointment was for 9 am. She called me back a few minutes after 9 where we proceeded to discuss my likes and target spots. The massage began at 9:15 Time flew by and she mentioned we were done. I looked up at the clock and was disappointed that it was only 10:20. Nice friendly staff but I was disappointed the massage itself only lasted a little over an hour, not the 90 minutes I had paid for. read more

Don't bother!!!!!!!!! The office staff is a STUPID NIGHTMARE who doesn't know the first this about good customer service. It's almost embarrassing to stand there n watch them do their job. They have very FEW GOOD therapist, who book out months in advance. If you have an issue, good luck actually getting in touch with anyone with a brain to comprehend your problem. After I signed up for my wellness plan, they increased the rate $10 with NO communication, and when I lost my job unexpectedly, they refused to cancel my membership for 60 days. A few months later when I went back to restart the membership, I couldn't find a single person in the ENTIRE place who could understand me saying "I want to restart my membership", they just kept repeating I had paused it months earlier, THEN CHARGED ME THE FULL RATE... Do not purchase a groupon - or any place for that matters! Without calling first to see if this company and or location has decided to add restrictions without notice. Apparently they can do this. If I could give lower than one star I would. I purchased a Groupon that had NO LISTED RESTRICTIONS. Not even a general one stating that there may be additional restrictions applied by the location. I checked the website for this specific location prior to purchasing a groupon for myself and my mother. No restrictions listed there either. I purchased and called to make an appointment the next day. I was then informed of excessive restrictions to not only include day of use restrictions (weekdays only) but also a restriction on the number of groupons that can be used each day (1 TOTAL. As in only ONE GROUPON CAN BE USED PER DAY). This is a serious restriction that should be noted! Especially since with groupon you only get so much time to book and use the purchased promotional value. Oh but dont worry. Both representatives I spoke with told me they would be happy to use the money I paid for the groupon, not the promotional value, on any service, any time with no restrictions... wow, wasnt that nice. NOT! While customer service was provided in a pleasant tone it was not helpful in the least!! My call was not returned within 24 hours as indicated when I left my first message. And now, a full 7 days later I am still waiting to hear back if the owner can make any exceptions. Unexceptable. In the mean time I spent an entire 7 days getting my Groupons refunded (another saga) and am finally free to NEVER go to this chain EVER. I am sorely dissapointed at the whole experience and will make sure to notify everyone I know not to go to this location or chain for that matter. My advice to you, the consumer, is to call first if you must go here. Make sure you know what you are purchasing and what restrictions exist prior to spending your money. My advice to the business is to clearly state your restrictions. And do not catch your customers off guard by changing them after the point of purchase. I canceled my subscription with adequate timing and they still charged me. then when I called to get a refund they refused to return my money. Horrible customer service and staff doesn't honor their word. They will tell you that they aren't going to charge your account, but then they do. When you go back and ask them to refund, they say no. That what was told to you previously isn't accurate and they will not refund your money. A company should honor their word, even if the employee told you wrong. Customer Service is not something this location takes pride in. Had a couples massage scheduled for today. Got in for the massage only to find out that our massage was cancelled. I was told someone should of called me. I did not receive a call. The response I got "I'm sorry, you will not be charged for the massage". I ask for the manager's information. I waited five minutes in which the manager comes out to tell me he looked up the call information. I was apparently called at 12:37 the day before and a voicemail was left for me. He even knew the call was a minute and 33 seconds long. I had nothing on my phone. If I received a call and voicemail why would I show up? Why would you not call more than once. And why did this manager make it a point to come out trying to prove me wrong? Obviously there was no phone call made. Nothing was done to try and defuse the situation besides the manager coming out trying to prove me wrong. Which only made my decision to not give this place my business stronger. If your looking to get a massage do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The 2019 award for customer service on the door of this place has to be a mistake. DO NOT GO HERE, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD INFORMATION. Awful company, awful manager, and awful staff. Completely incompetent and worst customer service I have ever had. Trying to suspend/cancel is a hassle and they don't even follow through with it so you get charged even when you are well within the 30 day notice. They refuse to give your money back when you have done your part, and the incompetent and let's be honest kind of complete idiots of a staff is useless. The massage itself my first time was amazing, however the only massage therapist that was good left (And I can only imagine why). The second therapist I had was okay, but she would cut my appointments short and would always take me late, an hour massage was only a true 30 mins. They refuse to give a refund for a service I canceled well within their policies, but want me to show proof that I suspended my account that the employee said they had entered in. I even called to verify it was all taken care of a week or so before it would have been scheduled to be taken out of my account and she said no payment would come out and my account was cancelled!! They are extremely pushy trying to sell you add-ons that are overpriced and a complete scam. Their massage subscription is good, until you try to cancel. Asking to suspend my account initially the employee was grilling me as to why. I don't need to be hassled if I want to suspend, I understand trying to give me options but they are pushy to an uncomfortable point. There are much better places with better amenities, therapists, and even if it costs more I would pay double anywhere else then ever give these people my money. Now I am forced to either get a massage by this awful company or just let them keep my money. Not right at all. Regardless of policy there is always a way to satisfy a customers needs and this place is money hungry. When I tried to talk to the supervisor he said that he couldn't refund me because the situation was odd, and was telling me they need to project their earnings for the coming month. I have had a couple of massges at Elements in West Allis. Both were incredible and I love the fact that the therapist asked throughout the massage if the pressure was ok or if there were any areas I wanted worked on longer. After the massage they take the time to go over your problem areas and give advice on things you can do to help with pain until your next session. The membership club they have is nice. It definitely encourages me to get a massage at least once a month which is a great health benefit. Can't wait to go back! read more

My partner and I signed up for a couple's massage in March. The massages themselves were fine. We were talked in the Wellness program, basically the same as a gym membership where you pay ahead for a monthly massage and get a discount. I had $178 (2 $89 massages) deducted from my account on 4/15, the same day we had a couple's massage scheduled, an early birthday present for him. We were notified about two hours before the massage that one of their employees didn't show up to work and they hadn't heard from him so they'd have to cancel our appointment. Fine, we rescheduled for Tuesday, 3 days later. Tuesday I received another phone call again cancelling our appointment because an employee couldn't come into work. These were different employees. At that point, I requested to cancel our membership and asked for a refund of the money we already paid. Clearly we can't count on a scheduled appointment. We both work 60 hours a week, rearranged our work schedules, and arranged a sitter so we could make these appointments happen, and we simply can't afford to go through that any more. Especially when the receptionist who called us to cancel the second time said "yeah, we have a lot of personal/family issues going on right now." When I requested cancellation of the membership and refund of our deposits, she said I'd have to talk to a manager. Who was also out sick. I left a message for him the next day, and two days later he called me back. I was offered a hot stone upgrade. Really? More time was spent defending their employees absence than recognizing a client's frustration and inconvenience. I'm sorry one employee had a family death and one was ill. I'm not mad at the employees, I'm mad at management for not having the simple human understanding that I can't keep rescheduling. I wasn't asking for reimbursement or anything free, just didn't want to do business with that company any more and wanted my deposit for massages not used given back. Apparently there's an owner named Shannon who speaks to clients through the manager Raymond, as I never received a single communication from her. "The owner said" "The owner told me". Despite my requests to speak to her and messages left for her, they clearly decided I wasn't worth her time, as I've never received a response. In the end, after over a week of back and forth, the manager agreed to cancel my May deposit, but refused to refund my April deposits. I'm still stuck paying $178 for massages that I have clearly no choice but to use, at a company I don't want to do business with. I plan on using them at another location NOT associated with these employees/managers, then forget I ever tried to do business with Elements Massage West Allis. Way to turn a relaxing experience into a stressful headache. read more

I first went to this place about a year ago and had a great massage by a young woman who was fresh out of massage therapy school. But it's kind of far from my house so I hadn't gone back. My regular therapist was booked up so I made a last minute appointment at this place last week. The front desk employees were friendly and personable and just likable in general. The massage therapist, though, didn't do the best job for me... I left with the same pain I came in with plus some extra back pain, which was weird. Anyway, a few days later I got an email from them asking how my visit was and I told them the truth. Someone called me (the manager, I think?) and said they'd like to make it up to me with a complimentary visit. I accepted and went in tonight and got a FANTASTIC massage from Aaron. My shoulders were so high that I'm sure I looked like the girl who doesn't move her arms when she walks on Seinfeld. Now they're down much closer to where they should be and I am soooo comfortably sleepy, which is awesome because I haven't slept well in about a week from the pain in my shoulders. I really appreciate them making the effort to make it up to me. Sh*t happens and things don't always go the way you hope, but going the extra mile to make it better says a lot about them. I had been looking for a massage therapist that understood what my problem areas were, and addressed them. To often I would find therapists that seemed like they just did a programmed massage and didn't really hit my trouble spots. All this changed when I found Angela at Elements. Really it was a point where my shoulders were so tight I needed to go somewhere, and she had a sane day appointment. I told her what my concerns were and she not only addressed them, but asked me about previous injuries. She explained how the muscles all work together and addressed the muscles counter to the tense ones. A truly great massage every time I go, which I joined the monthly program as I now realize massages aren't for when you need them, but a body maintenance so you don't get so tight! read more
