I went to Elements Dental Studio for the first time today. My whole experience was amazing. I had x-rays and a cleaning, and an initial evaluation. I saw Mary, Dr. Berman's assistant who was incredibly kind and did all she could to make me calm and comfortable. I then saw Dr. Berman who was personable, professional, and incredbily kind. She made sure I understood everything. I could tell she loves her work and cares about her patients. It was also completely evident that she and this office are client centered. I cannot say enough good about them. I am deeply grateful. read more

Dr Meira Berman is terrific. I am super particular about my teeth and had an issue come up, what I would consider an emergency visit and she got me in quick and solved for my issue immediately. Just wanted to update my review after my last visit... still giving it 5 stars after 3 years of routine dental work. I've gotta say that I've gotten the most thorough, yet gentle cleanings at this office in comparison to any other dentist I've ever been to. Maddie has been my caregiver the past few visits and even remembered my preference for a non-chocolate flavored toothpaste on my last visit. I really appreciate the folks at Elements and I still go here even though I live in Chicago now. Keep it up! read more

New age is the appropriate classification for this dental office! I was scrambling for a new dentist after my usual one broke his leg....:( Upon scheduling an appointment on the phone, I was directed to a website where I can fill out preliminary forms to help make my appointment more convenient and without the paperwork. I was impressed...and of course forgot to do it haha. Upon showing up at my appointment, they were friendly and had a computer where I could go online to fill out the forms. Overall the process takes less than 10 minutes. I thought the entering of the medical info was a little tedious and confusing but other than that, I appreciated the fact they're up to date with technology. The offices are very clean, very white, and very organized. I felt the dentist was a little heavy handed at going at my gums and during the cleaning process but it the job got done. I was in and out in 30 minutes - just needed a 6 month cleaning. Overall...I'd come back if my typical dentist weren't around again. Free 1 hr parking in the parking lot around the corner is a nice plus for this location! read more

I love seeing my dentist, I know that may sound weird, but I fully believe that Dr. Berman has my best interest in mind. She is thorough and professional, and doesn't sugar coat the bad news, she gives it to you like it is. That is what I love about her. I do miss her old assistant (Maureen), she was so positive and friendly, and remembers what is going on in your life when you come in for a visit (she even knew my dogs age and history) to make conversation. It's those small things that make a huge difference and makes you relaxed. read more

Dr. Berman was fantastic. She was very thorough, yet gentle. I felt NO pain, despite having sensitive teeth. She explained everything to me in detail and took the time to make sure i was comfortable and understood everything about my teeth and their condition. Let me start by saying as a human being, Dr Berman is fine. She is nice and my kids enjoy her a lot. This is not a review based on her character. However, the lack of transparency, both financially and procedurally that I have been through regarding a root canal and crown have been extremely costly and upsetting. In 2019 I had to have a root canal on a back tooth. Dr. Berman did not handle that part of the procedure. Her involvement was shaving down my old tooth, taking molds and ultimately cementing in the crown. The first question before anything had started was of course what was the TOTAL cost involved. I do have insurace, I am not financially well off and this is a concern. After looking through insurance deductibles and out of pocket expenses I was to pay just under $200 for the process. Not including the specialist who did the root canal. That was handled separately with a different company. Fast forward to placing the crown in (Root canal was finished, molds for crown was taken). My tooth was shaved down to a tiny nub to receive the crown and I was given I bill for over $600. Never spoken about and on top of the $200 I already payed, before receiving and cementing in the new crown. Essentially I am left toothless and crown held hostage (it was not that argumentative or a true hostage situation) for lab fees and other expenses before I can get my tooth placed in. That's over $600 that was never disclosed. Ok so anger, frustration and credit card debt later because I needed my tooth, everything was taken care of. Now I will not see her personally again. One year later I received another bill in the mail for just under $70. Not sure why, but I guess for additional lab fees for a 3rd party that made the tooth I think, I don't know. So now more anger and frustration!!! How do you bill a year later for more money you forgot and on a procedure that is done relatively often. Well now fast-forward to today in April 2022 that crown fell out. So I call the office despite my anger with her and when I show up with tooth in hand I am told it will cost me with insurance is another $140 to re cement the tooth back in. I understand time is money. And I don't expect things to be free. But i do expect accountability on the Dr.'s part to actually be taken, and the fact that a business cannot disclose accurate financial costs and information, especially when drilling into someone's mouth and forcing large payments AFTER the fact ( --- I M talking about the initial reshaping or my tooth). It is ridiculous. And or course its mid week and more money is lost from having to take time off of work. I now have to remove my entire family from her practice. Dr. Berman and Maureen are fantastic. Moves, jobs, etc. left me without dental insurance for a very long time (10+ yrs). I requested an appointment online and was able to fill out all my information at the time so when I arrived Dr. Berman was able to take me right away. I had x-rays taken and when we were done taking them, they appeared on the screen in front of me. We talked about options and concerns (old childhood fillings, chipped tooth, cleaning) and a timeline. I made my next appointment for a deep cleaning when I finished the initial appointment. The day of the deep cleaning (one of two), I was early and Maureen was able to set me up in one of the rooms. Dr. Berman and I chatted (as much as one can when you have someones fingers in your mouth) and the procedure was quick and painless. I was told what to possibly expect and so far there has been no pain or discomfort (24 hrs later). Dr. Berman and Maureen are responsive by email or phone, very kind and straight forward regarding costs and timelines. The office is clean and inviting. It's everything you want in a dentists office. read more

Dr. Levy is an absolute treasure! I have some dental anxiety, and I used to see her at a different practice (in Hyde Park), so when I finally worked up enough courage to go to the dentist during covid, I specifically searched for her and was so delighted to find her in Evanston! This practice is great and very covid cautious--I felt very comfortable with all the precautions precautions. Also she is super meticulous about cosmetic matters; I chipped my front tooth as a teen, and for years, other dentists had given me kind of clunky caps, but when Dr. Levy did my cap, it came out beautifully. I also appreciate that she recommended a more conservative approach to tooth replacement (a cap, while other dentists were pushing a root canal/veneer). The cap looks completely natural, and has lasted for 8 years with no issues whatsoever. She is amazing! Honestly, my family is relocating to Green Bay, WI and we fully intend to schedule day trips to Evanston just so we can continue seeing Dr. Levy. She's the best! read more

I just had my first appointment. The office is very clean and the staff is extremely nice and professional. I felt safe with the COVID precautions everything was very well organized. The doctor took time to explain everything to me to help me feel comfortable with my treatment plan, everything was clear and very helpful. I highly recommend this office. read more

Dr. Berman has been my dentist for almost five years and she is a bona fide earth angel. I've followed her from practice to practice and if she told me tomorrow she was moving to Milwaukee, I'd get some snacks and hop on the train for my next cleaning. Luckily she's in Evanston, and this practice is clean, modern, and easily accessible to the city via CTA. Dr. Berman is so knowledgeable, gentle, and soothing- I literally have told strangers on the train about her because she is the best dentist I've ever visited. Maureen is also fantastic, and the two of them make going to the dentist a pleasure. Could not recommend more highly! read more

First of all...Maddi and Dr. Meira Berman at Elements Dental are beyond amazing. I had some traumatic dental experiences as a child that led to extreme anxiety in the dentist chair as an adult. So much so, that it's been years since I've seen a dentist. After getting sternly lectured on oral health by my five-year-old, I sucked it up and scheduled a cleaning and checkup. It was really, really hard for me to do. I literally spent a few minutes in my car before the appointment taking deep breaths and steeling myself for the inevitable, lol! It was unnecessary though. Elements is a three-woman powerhouse! From the minute I arrived, I felt taken care of. If I tensed up in the chair, Maddi (the hygienist) or Dr. Berman quickly put me to ease. This is probably beyond disgusting, but since I haven't been to the dentist in years, I had a righteous amount of tartar buildup. There was no judgement, and Maddi not only got rid of it all with hardly any pain, but she was so focused on giving me a fresh start that she took her time and had me come back later in the day so she could be sure to give me a thorough cleaning. Dr. Berman also mapped out all the work that I can anticipate, and is helping me do things in very manageable stages. She also offered the option of using nitrous oxide for tougher procedures, which I will gladly take advantage of. I have had decades of experience with avoidance and denial associated with my fear of the dentist chair, and in one visit, they were able to overcome my resistance. read more

Dr Berman is an excellent dentist. Extremely bright, thoughtfully considers my families needs, and single handedly got my son to start brushing. A beautiful new space. With 5 perfect check ups (thanks to her suggestion to move the kids to sonic care toothbrushes) see you all in 6 months. My only reservation to yelping is that you will all love her as much as we do and it will be hard to get an appointment. But she deserves it, and we will be willing to wait! read more

We have been seeing Dr Berman for over 6 years. We moved back to the city and continue to make the drive to Evanston to see her. She's very professional and very delicate. We don't fear going to the dentist anymore. My husband wasn't a big fan of dentist offices and now we both look forward to going to see Dr Berman. We trust her recommendations and work. I've found Dr. Berman to be exceptionally punctual and great at helping me manage expectations around some some of my dental issues.
