After 10 Years of Pain, I Finally Found Hope…read more Over 10 years ago, I had a severe reaction to a vaccine that affected my facial nerve, leaving me with significant nerve and muscle pain and paralysis changes to one side of my face. After seeing more than 15 doctors--from neurologists to pain specialists--I never really found answers or lasting relief. Eventually, I just accepted this was something I would have to live with. Then a friend recommended Dr. Lanh. I had tried acupuncture before for short-term pain relief, but her approach has been completely different. She looks at the whole body through traditional Chinese medicine and has truly treated me from the inside out. I've experienced more relief than I thought possible, but what I appreciate most is that she has given me a protocol and a better understanding of how to manage my body and pain going forward. I am beyond grateful I found Dr. Lanh. After 10 years of feeling like I had tried everything, she has given me something I didn't think I would have again--hope.

A few years ago, I was…read moreconstantly struggling with severe PMS, persistent breakouts, dizziness, and chronic poor sleep. When I first visited, I just wanted standard TCM treatment, but Lanh Acupuncture Clinic proved to be exceptional. What impressed me most was Dr Lanh's remarkably thorough and localized care: at every single visit, she takes ample time to read my pulse, check my tongue, and ask detailed questions to track my body's changes. She established a very structured, step-by-step treatment plan--starting with twice a week for the first three months, then stepping down to once a week as I improved, and later to twice a month for maintenance. She was also incredibly considerate of my budget, never pushing unnecessary treatments or selling and adjusting the schedule as my health stabilized. Dr Lanh's expertise goes far beyond medicine. She not only cured my symptoms but also guided me like a wise mentor to rebuild healthy sleep and eating habits--emphasizing whole, healthy foods over synthetic supplements. It has now been three years and four months since I first started seeing her, and the results are amazing. Not only has my health drastically improved, but I honestly look so much better than I did three years ago! My skin cleared up, my hair looks healthier, and my overall energy has been revitalized. My stress tolerance has shot up, allowing me to stay fully focused and productive at work. Now, depending on my stress level and budget, I pop in once or twice a month, but under her ongoing guidance, my body remains in top condition. I am deeply grateful for her holistic care for both my physical and mental well-being. If you are looking for a place that treats the root cause of health issues with true wisdom, compassion, and the ability to help you glow from the inside out, I wholeheartedly recommend Lanh Acupuncture Clinic in Austin!

After each appointment, I am more and more impressed with Li's knowledge, approaches, and the results! During previous visits I've had cupping, acupuncture, and ear seeding performed to alleviate stress - with great, lasting results. On my most recent visit, I had the "usual" (i.e., acupuncture for stress) plus ear seeding - this time to alleviate stomach issues. However, the main focus of the session was to address a patch of bothersome, unsightly varicose and spider veins on my leg that I've had since my late-teens. I've thought about having sclerotherapy for several years, but never had the procedure done because the odds of the veins simply reappearing are rather high. I SO wish I would have taken before and after photos of my leg pre- and post-treatment at China Health. With a combination of herbs, oils, heat, and message...the veins have almost entirely disappeared. I literally could not believe my eyes when I sat up and examined my leg. Magic! And such fantastic outcome after ONE treatment. I will be taking some oral herbal supplements and of course have a few more treatments. According to Li, when the veins are fully healed...that's it. They don't come back. For anybody who doubts the effectiveness of Chinese medicine, feel free to accompany me on my next visit and observe the reality of success. I could go on and on. Just wonderful! A great place to address all of your healthcare needs. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I love taking his TCM herbal supplements and especially how they cure the congestion and allergies and not mask them. Thereby allowing me to use them for a shorter duration, putting only natural remedies into my system. I have been able to avoid taking over-the-counter medicine and medications that a pharmacist recommended I take everyday without fail. The thought of being on congestion and allergy medicine everyday was really making me regret moving here, but with Dr. Zhang's support, I am feeling much happier with my decision to relocate to Austin. He has also treated my earache and jaw pain associated with the congestion through acupuncture and acupressure, and other ailments I've overlooked as a runner for years. His help has brought me back into a painless exercise regime, for my knees and hips.

I had an awful experience with this acupuncturist and I do not recommend them to anyone…read more First, their customer service is terrible. Kung was was extremely rude, condescending, and dismissive, like they were doing us a favor just by talking to us. Instead of listening or answering questions professionally, they talk down to you and act like you're ignorant for even asking. What really crossed the line is how Kung pressures you into signing up, then once they have your money, they suddenly hide behind "documentation". They basically hustle you into buying services, and only AFTER you pay, they claim there are "no refunds" because it's written somewhere in their paperwork. The problem is: Kung never verbally mention it upfront and they doesn't clearly show it to you before taking your payment. That's not transparency -- that's manipulation. Even worse, they try to convince you that you MUST take their services because "you need it", as if they get to decide what's best for you while disrespecting you at the same time. That's not healthcare -- that's arrogance. Also, any business that offers no refunds on rushed prepaid packages is waving a huge red flag. If you were truly confident in your service and results, you wouldn't need to trap people into paying upfront with a rigid "no refund" policy that you try to bury deep into some kind of initial document you sign and never mention it in any of your subsequent patient visits. Overall: unprofessional, pushy, and unethical behavior. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere that actually treats patients with respect and will probably provide better and more effective results too.

Acupuncture is a great way to treat my side effects without medicine. I was referred to Bee Cave Acupuncture by a friend of mine who's been seen Kimmi. Upon meeting her, Kimmi spent time to learn the immunotherapy drug I am on and research what I am experiencing. She also took time to call me before my first appointment. I've never gone to acupuncture before, so I was a little nervous with the pain, but Kimmi walked through each acupuncture point with me and how I'd feel. After my first appointment, I was already feeling better and my headaches really went down. Kimmi mapped out a treatment plan for me during the next year so we can treat how I feel. I am eternally grateful for her! I've see her for the past two months and I am feeling SUCH a difference. And each time I see her, she switches up where she puts the acupuncture needles depending on how I feel that day so it's always changing. She is so knowledgeable and warm, you can't not feel like you have an instant connection with her. I HIGHLY recommend seeing her!

My treatment started off rocky because my practitioner was 13 minutes late and I booked in the middle of my work day. I let her know ahead of time that I had to be out by a certain time and she assured me it was no problem. As far as the treatment, I think it was just honestly too much, too fast. Many of the needles were painful and I had significant bruising afterwards. I clicked the button to bring my provider into the room to let her know I couldn't stop having muscle spasms. She gave me advice to "try and relax" and made some adjustments. I just couldn't relax... the bright room and uncomfortable paper on the table don't help. My appointment ran over and I was late to a meeting. Despite me urgently trying to leave, I got the impression that I was being "sold to". This left a bad taste in my mouth. That evening, I had the most violent muscle cramping I think I've ever had in my life. After seeking acupuncture from someone else, I was told this practitioner may have done too much, too fast. I wanted to share my honest experience in hopes of this feedback reaching the right person.

BEFORE: I had never seen a chiropractor before, but my OB recommended it during my second pregnancy, for my worsening pubic symphesis pain (common pregnancy ailment where front middle of hip bone hurts). I had to quit doing prenatal yoga, and I was limiting even how much I walked. DURING: At first I was hesitant to see a man for prenatal care, but Maninder was amazing, made me 100% comfortable, explained everything about chiropractic care to me at my first appointment, and ended up being who I saw for almost all visits. At every appointment, he "adjusted" me, which felt like gentle pushes, tugs, and pressure, as well as some that felt relaxing like massage. From the first time, it made my body feel more relaxed, and I could tell it was slightly affecting my posture; after a few appointments, each adjustment made my body feel relaxed and aligned as though I'd just had a long massage - but it only took 10-15 minutes! Over time, after a few weeks, my body caught on and stayed in better alignment, so I began to feel good all the time, not just after appointments. AFTER: It was like magic, after a few weeks, my pain was so reduced that I was back to long walks and normal movement. The last few months of my pregnancy were totally turned around, as this allowed me to stay really active and feel better emotionally as well as physically. I love Pure Light, and highly recommend Maninder and Laine!
