The Chinese herbal tea that she concocted for me made an extremely positive difference in my healing. It immediately stopped my sore throat pain and reduced, and ultimately eliminated, my racking, spasmodic cough. These 5 stars are for her. I would give her 10 if I could. Unfortunately to get an appointment with Alex I must go through Jenn. For some reason, from the first time I called Jenn has thought it acceptable to be rude to me, to have a sharp edge to her tone when speaking with me, and, in general, to talk down to me. She is incorrect. Life is simply too short to deal with folks who give themselves permission to behave this way so I will not be calling for an appointment again.

And she has given me exercises that help relax the muscles in my neck and shoulders. The atmosphere in the patient rooms is quiet and relaxing, Ellen is sweet, caring, and gentle, and she is excellent at finding the problems in your body's energy and treating it. EVERY time (since 1992) I have experienced this kind of treatment I have had positive results, but with this clinic I had mild response the first time only. The following 4 treatments ... NOTHING. Besides lack of understanding of how to treat me, the negativity resulted in the fact that patients receive treatment as they sit in old recliners. I was stunned to see this because anyone who has had back and neck issue knows that the typical recliner does NOT provide proper support, so you sit there VERY STILL for an hour to and hour and a half in an uncomfortable position. The other reason for the poor review is the doc himself. I found him condescending and lackadaisical in attitude ... leaving patients alone after inserting needles, never checking in with them or applying additional attention to the needles. He is not willing to consider much of your history or current medical information. He uses front side body treatments only, so if you need work from backside points, you won't get it there. After I thought about things he said to me, I really came away with a feeling that this guy thinks his way is the only way. I never trust anyone with that perspective! I usually don't leave reviews with this much negativity, but this guy really needs to consider how and what he does. It's like a machine in that clinic ... get 'em in, needle them, get 'em out. I've never experienced acupuncture this way and I don't care to ever again.

Mary was very patient with me,…read moreand she was able to come up with different exercises when I said that the exercise she wanted me to do was causing pain. My core was so weak that most any exercise put a strain on my back. Mary worked with me, modified the exercise, and within weeks, my core was being strengthed and the back pain was abating. Mary showed me how to sleep so I didn't put stress on my back, recommended shoes, and gave me new exercises as my back began to heal. Recently I developed tendonitis. Again, the doctor (actually NP this time) recommended physical therapy. I knew Mary was a good physical therapist, but I figured I needed to see a podiatrist. When I visited the podiatrist, he recommended I see a physical therapist! So Mary is helping me again. If you need a physical therapist, I would highly recommend Mary Gorman.
