She told me that the cloths on the wall are all $9.95 and the price of the others. I immediately found something that stood out and was the perfect size. And it was on the $9.95 wall. Sounds like a perfect experience. Not! When I went up to the counter I told her I found something that stood out. She said that is great! In such a fake voice. There was a young employee there and as the manager was processing the transaction, she was talking down to her and telling her what to do as she was supposed to know. I could see that the girl was embarrassed and I felt bad for her. This made me uncomfortable. What I would like to say to this manager, is micromanaging does not work! Google it! This young girl would make a better manager as maybe she already has more experience on how to treat people. I will most likely never go there again because of this experience. I love this location because I feel they always have a size run in the newest styles, whereas other locations may be sold out of an item - and similar items - in a particular size. Anytime I'm in the mood for a new outfit for work, every day, or vacation, I head to Maurice's. They also have cute jewelry and shoes. Catch them at the right time and they have amazing clearance sales! I often have a difficult time envisioning outfits, and Maurice's does a superb job with their mannequins and displays. I usually end up purchasing the outfit/items on display and sometimes right off the mannequin. The sales associates, particularly at this location, are very friendly and helpful; I like how they offer suggestions once they see what you are looking for, and if you aren't having any luck in the fitting room. If you are just browsing, they are not pushy - which I really appreciate! This store is, on average, pricey than Kohl's. However, the items are of better quality and are targeted to being a more "timeless" fashion rather than what's hot right now. I have gotten *so* many compliments on my work outfits that I purchased from this store; and even after years of wash and wear, they still look great. If you can't tell, I'm definitely a fan!

I live about 30 minutes away, but would have no hesitation going out there if I needed something I knew they carried since they're so helpful. Most recently, I went to look at hydration supplies as I'm preparing to run my first marathon, and the woman who helped me was so informative and provided different opinions on products that might help me make a decision. There was no pressure to buy and despite my indecisiveness, she was very patient - even at almost closing time on a Saturday night! In addition to asking questions about running gear, I also asked her and her husband questions about races in the area. Since they're experienced runners, I figured they would be great resources for well directed half marathons and marathons, and sure enough, they were. While locally owned running stores are not always the cheapest (compared to online), they cannot be replaced. You aren't paying solely for the product at locally owned and operated running stores, you're paying for knowledge and service that can't be provided online. Quite often, performance running stores are really intimidating for more recreational runners and in some of the local running stores they really aren't that friendly. In my running group, we have discussed which stores pressure their customers to buy, which ones we don't go to because we feel the people that work there are 'running snobs', and which ones are not helpful - Endurance House is not on that list. I highly recommend runners of all abilities visit Endurance House, particularly new runners.
