Davinci went above and beyond, even washing our gutters and replacing a rotted board. I really appreciated that even though Leo wasn't on-site, he was just a text away--always quick to respond to my questions, address any concerns, and offer his professional opinion. Fantastic company - great from start to finish…read more Hired ESP to paint our Portland house and from the initial consult and estimation process to the finishing touches (including two client-driven color changes), they were wonderful to work with: understanding, consultative, great communicators, extremely thorough and detailed, and they produced excellent work. They worked really hard the whole time and were perfectionists about quality. I had a hiccup with my job -- I had a big sticker on my closet doors and it took off paint when I removed it! Jeff worked out a solution with me, to take the doors off-site and sand them all the way down. I appreciated that he didn't charge me full price since it was an unexpected cost. I also had a hiccup with a door that wouldn't close properly after painting. (It was probably a very tight fit before painting). This door also needed some off-site work to shave down the top, so it would close correctly. The team came back on a Saturday morning to bring me the restored closet doors. These little pain points come up with lots projects. You need a company that will take care of things when everything doesn't go perfectly. ESP will make sure everything is taken care off.

I can't say enough good things about my experience working with Matt. He was professional,…read moreon-time, surprisingly fast responding to my text and emails, and did exactly what he said he would do. His entire team was so professional and friendly. They even knew my pets names the first day. We hired Matt to paint the entire inside and outside of our house, the outside of our shed and shop, and pressure wash our driveway and patio. Matt bid the high-end Benjamin Moore outdoor paint by default, which was competitively priced with the lower end paint bids by others. The other unique item was Matt's work came with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If I had questions or thought something needed to be touched-up, Matt answered questions or touched up work no questions asked. He wanted to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was when added to the scope of work. I sent photos, he gave a bid, and we agreed to the price. When he came to the house, Matt said he could do the work less and reduced his bid even though we already agreed to the higher amount. Matt's team are good painters and it's clear he takes pride in the quality of his work. I strongly recommend him and would hire him again. The only heads-up I would give (not a negative, just a heads up) is if you want any texturing work done, make sure to communicate your expectations with Matt. Matt was clear with us regarding his team's texturing limitations, which I appreciated. Matt did a good job sanding and texturing to remove an obvious line across the middle of the room, this isn't part of his normal scope that was included in our bid.

The paint job Portland Painting & Restoration did on our 100+ year-old Portland bungalow was…read morenothing short of exceptional. Our home was in need of difficult prep work, experience in correctly working with the potentiality of lead paint, undoing and repairing the previously shoddy workmanship, and taking the necessary time, patience, and care to give our home the love it deserved to look like always wanted it to. Comparing PPR with other painting contractors we worked with is night and day. It was immediately apparent that PPR was better trained and more accustomed to working on older Portland homes than anyone else. The amount of care and craft they put into the prep needed for our house was exactly the attention to detail you'd want to see in a project like this. And the end result has left us so happy. We have delighted in watching both neighbors and strangers walk by and take pictures of our new paint job, and have loved chatting with them about the exceptional work that was done. Recommending Portland Painting & Restoration has been a no-brainer. All have agreed their work looks outstanding. PPR's communication, transparency, deep knowledge, craftsmanship, skill, *pride in their work*--everything top to bottom--has been top notch. These are the professionals you are looking for. We didn't go with the cheapest quote or even the fastest turnaround, but we waited a long time and had to reschedule several things for our house because of the time delay. Including gutters being installed and getting the house photographed to sell. A lot of time was spent on our part contacting other contractors and our real estate agent because of the delay. The sales experience was good and smooth via a Zoom call due to covid. The paint consulting was also pleasant and professional. Overall we are happy and enjoyed working with Robert, but we definitely felt like we were being moved back further and further due to other jobs taking priority over ours. I would hire them again, but would be sure to have an accurate representation of when the job would actually be completed in writing.
