Clean and fantastic! This is a nice place to stay and they have a bar and an outdoor pool! This is a new , modern post Covid hotel that makes you really feel comfortable and clean, love it! They have an outdoor pool that is very large. Definitely stay here if you need to be in Chattanooga! They also offer a solid breakfast, the bagel's were surprisingly good! They were fresh locally made and not frozen. They offer made to order eggs and pancakes which were really good, not the standard scrambled egg premade buckets on a buffet. They also have an espresso/ cappuccino machine.

Element Chattanooga is a Marriott owned hotel located in east Chattanooga Tennessee. My family was coming home from Lousiville to Orlando when we used our bon voy points to book this hotel as a place to treat our heads for the night. The hotel was obviously newer and massive. It stuck out in the neighborhood it was in as it was very classy I. What seemed to be a desolated and shady looking portion of town. Even the parking lot it shared was blocked off as it was next to what was I believe and abandoned and closed hotel. The two Queen studio suite we stayed on was very comfortable and nice. The workers here were very nice and the complementary breakfast is one of the better ones you will see that actually features a worker cooking eggs, pancakes and other items right in front of you. We didn't participate in amenities like the pool or fitness room but they were available. Overall a very nice and upscale Marriott location. I was a smidge nervous about my car being broken into due to the shady parking lot and area but other than that this was a great hotel and very nice.

    Smashed Bed Bug. BEWARE!

We stayed at the Element Chattanooga East on what was supposed to be a family vacation. It turned bad fast. I found a bedbug and my child was bitten. I tried to call downstairs but they just put me on hold so I hung up. I told my husband and when he got back to the room, he looked and then smashed the bedbug in a tissue paper then we got our stuff and left. We had to throw away a whole set of luggage and our clothes were expensive so we opted to put them in trash bags and take them to a laundromat and then after we had a dry cleaner place pick them up and basically ensure it was 100% clean and free of bed bugs. We didn't want to get in our car so we had an Uber take us to Laundromat and back. We ended up checking into a non-Marriott hotel in the area and had to go buy new luggage at the store. The whole thing was a disaster. We took the whole day of just checking our belongings cleaning them and showering ourselves afterwards. We were extremely tired by then. It was a waste. All in all between the luggage, dry cleaning bill and getting another hotel it was a lot of wasted money and time. Be careful of the bedbugs here, the hotel will likely try to cover for themselves and claim they don't have any, but what do you expect. They would look bad if they admitted it. See the proof in my review.

Wow, beautiful hotel, pet friendly, great location! Everything was clean, staff was great. Breakfast had coffee bar and other goodies. I got a deal on Expedia. Will stay here again if I can find another good deal in the future. Larger fridge than most hotels.

I love this hotel and have stayed several times. It's beautiful, rooms are very large, very peaceful. The only drawbacks are the breakfast is no good for me. They have yogurt sitting out in a big pot, which I just don't like plain yogurt. They have some breads sitting out. Some pieces of fruit and that's about it. The hot breakfast items are pancakes or scrambled eggs, but neither are good for some reason. Also the snacks for purchase are not appetizing, I think they are trying to print healthy. The sheets are scratchy, so I hope they get softer over time.

We booked this for a quick couple's escape to Chatanooga. It's so far out from the fun parts of Chatanooga you'll need to love commuting to book this hotel. After a great afternoon downtown, it took us 36 minutes to get there in midday light traffic. The area is strip malls, shopping centers, and cars. Very little to do and food choices seem to be limited. Brad at check-in was kind but at 4:30 our room was just being cleaned. He explained the night prior had been a full house and they were understaffed. He gave us a different room but there was mold and someone's left-behind body wash in the shower, many children's hand and nose prints on the window (which overlooked the parking lot and an under-construction hotel) and the bed sheets were wrinkly (probably unused but questionable). We were exhausted so just kept the room. Room appointments were nice - the bed was comfy, the filtered water on tap and Keurig were nice, and breakfast the next morning was included and good (as a vegan it was nice to have oatmilk option and plain oatmeal available). I had seen multiple reviews stating that the parking is not great but there was ample parking. They have bikes to check out but there's nothing remotely interesting to bike to and a lot of traffic - I wouldn't want to bike here. I chose this because it had a 9.6 out of 10-star rating on Hotels.com so my expectations were that high. I would give it 7.5, tops.

On our first night, we went to the hotel's speakeasy to unwind after a long travel day. I told the bartender I only wanted water because I was dehydrated and not looking to drink. Later she started telling me about a new drink they were adding to the menu and said, "Let me make you a drink." I agreed, assuming she was offering it as a courtesy since I had already made it clear I wasn't drinking alcohol that night. When we got the bill, she had charged me $11 for a vodka. That set the tone for the rest of the stay: staff doing the very least to help while making it seem like they're providing excellent service. Then the AC in our first room failed and the room phone didn't work either. We were traveling with our older dog who has a heart condition and cannot tolerate heat. At 10pm, the only options offered were to pack up everything and move rooms or use a box fan. This was our 10‑year wedding anniversary trip and we had to be up early the next morning. There was zero urgency from anyone on staff to find a better solution. The next morning, maintenance told us the thermostats were locked and couldn't be fixed onsite without someone offsite helping. So we had to move rooms anyway. Again, no urgency, no help, no concern. We packed everything ourselves and moved rooms alone. The girl at the front desk was completely useless in this process as well and told us that issues with the AC on the 4th floor were well known but they booked us on that floor anyway to pad their occupancy rate, I assume to influence their online rates. Additionally the hotel is wildly understaffed. Every day we were there only one person was working and handling the front desk, room service and acting as host for the speakeasy. This is potentially fine when there are no issues but when things go wrong, one person cannot man an entire hotel. This is not only unfair to the guests, it's unfair to the staff. The staff was also dressed unprofessionally. One front desk associate was wearing blue plaid pants with chains and a concert tee. THAT is how a hotel is representing itself?? No one wore name tags either, presumably for lack of accountability. Then on checkout day, the hotel had a full power outage. The AC went out across the entire building, again dangerous for our dog. My husband went to another floor to get ice and got trapped in the stairwell because the doors locked during the outage. He and the elevator repair man were stuck banging on the door for several minutes with a housekeeper nearby who didn't bother to check. He only got out because the elevator man let my husband use his phone to callme and I had to go let them out. We then had to drag our luggage down three flights of stairs with no assistance. There was no notification to guests on what was going on, no alarms, and not one staff member helping guests bring their luggage down the stairs. At the front desk, instead of apologizing or acknowledging any of this, the staff member just asked for our room number so she could check us out when the power came back. When I asked if the hotel had generators, she shrugged and said, "Yeah I think we do." Maintenance even needed OUR help to access floors and unlock stairwell doors because they didn't have proper access during the outage. Not one person apologized. Not one person tried to make anything better. It was excuse after excuse, no urgency, no concern for safety and no sense of responsibility. This entire stay was a disaster and an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. We will never stay here again and unless you like wasting your money you probably shouldn't either.

My room was clean and very comfortable, with a small couch, table and chair. The bathroom was well kept, with plenty of space for your toiletries. However, I was given a room on the second floor that looked out onto the lobby roof and the parking garage. I expected a room with a better view given my Gold status. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, I found the internet appeared to be spotty at times. You had to reconnect every morning to the internet, which I do not recall this being required at other Hilton properties I stayed at, especially a Curio Collection hotel. In addition, you sometimes had to reconnect while in your room. One day, I went down to breakfast and although I re-checked onto the internet that morning, by the time I got downstairs, it was off again and I had to re-check in again. The parking garage on the property was free (you need to pull a ticket at first), and you get in and out with your room key. However, if you should stay passed your checkout time (like I did for lunch), when I went to use the key to leave the garage, it did not work. I had to repark, go back to the Front Desk and get the key card re-programmed. The gentleman at the Front Desk said the key card becomes nonresponsive at checkout time. I recommend the Front Desk inform its guests of this cutoff so that if you should enjoy lunch there or want to walk around the area before leaving, you are aware of this situation before you walk out to the garage and have to come back in.

My room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly large, with beautiful views of the city. The staff was welcoming, and the overall atmosphere felt upscale while still being relaxed and inviting. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Forge, the hotel's restaurant. If you visit, do yourself a favor and order the Honey Whipped Feta. The creamy, silky feta paired with sweet honey and served with charred baguette was absolutely delicious and one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. Between the comfortable accommodations, excellent dining options, and convenient location, The Chattanoogan is a fantastic choice whether you're visiting for business, a convention, or a weekend getaway. I'd happily stay here again.

From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable. So I came in expecting standard hotel beige and left thinking about snack cakes, spotless rooms, and how easy they made the whole trip feel. Four stars, and yes, Little Debbie absolutely helped close the deal. And the VW's are a nice twist too!
