Clean and fantastic! This is a nice place to stay and they have a bar and an outdoor pool! This is a new , modern post Covid hotel that makes you really feel comfortable and clean, love it! They have an outdoor pool that is very large. Definitely stay here if you need to be in Chattanooga! They also offer a solid breakfast, the bagel's were surprisingly good! They were fresh locally made and not frozen. They offer made to order eggs and pancakes which were really good, not the standard scrambled egg premade buckets on a buffet. They also have an espresso/ cappuccino machine.

Element Chattanooga is a Marriott owned hotel located in east Chattanooga Tennessee. My family was coming home from Lousiville to Orlando when we used our bon voy points to book this hotel as a place to treat our heads for the night. The hotel was obviously newer and massive. It stuck out in the neighborhood it was in as it was very classy I. What seemed to be a desolated and shady looking portion of town. Even the parking lot it shared was blocked off as it was next to what was I believe and abandoned and closed hotel. The two Queen studio suite we stayed on was very comfortable and nice. The workers here were very nice and the complementary breakfast is one of the better ones you will see that actually features a worker cooking eggs, pancakes and other items right in front of you. We didn't participate in amenities like the pool or fitness room but they were available. Overall a very nice and upscale Marriott location. I was a smidge nervous about my car being broken into due to the shady parking lot and area but other than that this was a great hotel and very nice.

    Smashed Bed Bug. BEWARE!

We stayed at the Element Chattanooga East on what was supposed to be a family vacation. It turned bad fast. I found a bedbug and my child was bitten. I tried to call downstairs but they just put me on hold so I hung up. I told my husband and when he got back to the room, he looked and then smashed the bedbug in a tissue paper then we got our stuff and left. We had to throw away a whole set of luggage and our clothes were expensive so we opted to put them in trash bags and take them to a laundromat and then after we had a dry cleaner place pick them up and basically ensure it was 100% clean and free of bed bugs. We didn't want to get in our car so we had an Uber take us to Laundromat and back. We ended up checking into a non-Marriott hotel in the area and had to go buy new luggage at the store. The whole thing was a disaster. We took the whole day of just checking our belongings cleaning them and showering ourselves afterwards. We were extremely tired by then. It was a waste. All in all between the luggage, dry cleaning bill and getting another hotel it was a lot of wasted money and time. Be careful of the bedbugs here, the hotel will likely try to cover for themselves and claim they don't have any, but what do you expect. They would look bad if they admitted it. See the proof in my review.

Wow, beautiful hotel, pet friendly, great location! Everything was clean, staff was great. Breakfast had coffee bar and other goodies. I got a deal on Expedia. Will stay here again if I can find another good deal in the future. Larger fridge than most hotels.

I love this hotel and have stayed several times. It's beautiful, rooms are very large, very peaceful. The only drawbacks are the breakfast is no good for me. They have yogurt sitting out in a big pot, which I just don't like plain yogurt. They have some breads sitting out. Some pieces of fruit and that's about it. The hot breakfast items are pancakes or scrambled eggs, but neither are good for some reason. Also the snacks for purchase are not appetizing, I think they are trying to print healthy. The sheets are scratchy, so I hope they get softer over time.

We booked this for a quick couple's escape to Chatanooga. It's so far out from the fun parts of Chatanooga you'll need to love commuting to book this hotel. After a great afternoon downtown, it took us 36 minutes to get there in midday light traffic. The area is strip malls, shopping centers, and cars. Very little to do and food choices seem to be limited. Brad at check-in was kind but at 4:30 our room was just being cleaned. He explained the night prior had been a full house and they were understaffed. He gave us a different room but there was mold and someone's left-behind body wash in the shower, many children's hand and nose prints on the window (which overlooked the parking lot and an under-construction hotel) and the bed sheets were wrinkly (probably unused but questionable). We were exhausted so just kept the room. Room appointments were nice - the bed was comfy, the filtered water on tap and Keurig were nice, and breakfast the next morning was included and good (as a vegan it was nice to have oatmilk option and plain oatmeal available). I had seen multiple reviews stating that the parking is not great but there was ample parking. They have bikes to check out but there's nothing remotely interesting to bike to and a lot of traffic - I wouldn't want to bike here. I chose this because it had a 9.6 out of 10-star rating on Hotels.com so my expectations were that high. I would give it 7.5, tops.

First impressions of the lobby and main floor is that it's a been remodeled nicely but it is a bit tight compared with many of the more recently built Holiday Inn Express locations. The business center computer and printer is almost directly across the wall from the front desk. A user would have zero privacy using the computer at this location. The staff member was friendly and accommodating- generously offering two room options- second or fifth floor room. Maybe that is the beauty of not booking in advance as we normally would. We appreciated being given an option and chose the fifth floor so no one would be over us. Both elevators are working and air conditioned. The main hallway on the fifth floor was cool also. Upon entering room 509- it was hot and humid. The thermostat read 83 and was set on 61, cool and fan set to 'on'. It was about 9:00 PM. After moving the fan to 'auto', the unit seemed to be blowing cold air-so we left for a bit to eat. We didn't unload our luggage from the cart to see if the room cooled off while we were eating. On our way out, we spoke to the staff member and he said he could move us to another room if needed. Thankfully when we returned, the room was cooler and thermostat read 73. The room is updated and modern. Appears at first glance to be clean- the pillows and sheets were spotless. Love the double door armoire closet. We've stayed in a lot of new or updated HIE hotels and never seen this design before. The bed is supportive and comfortable, all lights in the room worked. Has outlets and USB ports at each nightstand. Xfinity cable which is a plus. Room also has a microwave, pod coffee maker (all pods left were decaf?!?) and a working fridge. However, the freezer part needs to be defrosted badly. Now for the negatives- which were found in the bathroom after I unpacked our personal care items. Although the towels looked nice white and clean- more than one of them had long dark hairs in them. Then I looked in the tub and there were at least TEN (10) 2-3 inch hairs in the bottom. Very obvious from standing height and clearly from the last guest in this room. Grossed out by the hairy situation is an understatement. We have stayed in A LOT of this brand hotel and NEVER found anything like this before. Aside from the hair, there are also clear plumbing concerns. The most obvious is the long brown water stain under the bathroom sink along the tile. It is no longer leaking- but I took a damp towel and wiped along the stain. You can see from my pictures that it does wipe up- it just hasn't been cleaned. Three strikes for me on lack of cleaning. Also the shower head squeals when the water is running. When you try to adjust it, the pipe from the wall moves with it. Plus it sprays so hard that the too short shower curtain doesn't contain the water and it makes a wet mess on the floor outside the edges of the tub. It breaks my heart a little to find negatives like this at a Holiday Inn Express, especially when it appears to have been nicely updated and modernized. We plan to come back to Chattanooga to visit, but we won't stay here again.

While our stay had its pleasant moments and the hotel lobby had a lovely fragrance, it also came with several hiccups that made it fall short of what we usually expect from a Hilton property. Upon arrival, our room appeared modern and nicely arranged, but the bathroom shower floor did not look clean. It may have been the material used, but due to visible staining and uncertainty around cleanliness, we opted to lay down a towel before using it. We also encountered a few maintenance issues--one nightstand drawer wouldn't close and had a sugar packet used as a makeshift shim, and the other nightstand was missing its rubber insert. Thankfully, Mike from maintenance came quickly and resolved both of those, as well as got our TV working, which wouldn't turn on initially. His professionalism and responsiveness were appreciated. After a long and exhausting day, we were just hoping to walk into a clean, fully functional room, shower, and rest--but that first night was more about troubleshooting than relaxing. On the second day, housekeeping refreshed the room, but failed to restock tissue and provided only one washcloth, requiring another call to the front desk. Despite emailing earlier, I ultimately had to go to the lobby to use the restroom, which was disappointing. That said, the staff, especially Norma Garcia, were responsive and helpful once issues were raised, and we were comped for as a gesture of goodwill. Take home message: Although the start to our stay was a bit shaky, we appreciate their effort to make things right without excuse. We will plan to stay there again based on Hilton's reputation and staff effort to remedy our first time experience. With a focus of room readiness and housekeeping consistency they could easily earn a higher rating.

From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable. So I came in expecting standard hotel beige and left thinking about snack cakes, spotless rooms, and how easy they made the whole trip feel. Four stars, and yes, Little Debbie absolutely helped close the deal. And the VW's are a nice twist too!
