Elaine Rosi Academy For Children - Wildwood

Elaine Rosi Academy For Children - Wildwood

Most of the teachers are great there and the families are too. They will get mad I am posting, but…read moreidc as you got to stand up for what you believe in. I will miss all the parents most and the children were a blessing to have. You gotta stand up as freedom of speech to express your concerns! I would look into other childcare for infants! When a lead teacher isn't following the rules and doing things she shouldn't be doing, then she should be let go. Feeding infants whatever they want due to not having any baby food of their own is unacceptable or feeding a child a homemade drink smoothie is unacceptable! Feeding a child in a bouncer seat instead of holding them while the infant was gagging to take a breath is unacceptable. If there is more then one child that needs to be fed the lead teacher should have called as ask for help. It is sooooo sad when you report a person of doing these things and they don't get fired, but instead you get let go for no reason as the director was very unfair! She only wants to be a director at a daycare place I hear from the other teachers due to being with her children and one on the way, so she doesn't have to pay a lot in daycare herself. She favors a lot of her other employees and doesn't care about the ones that does a great job or follows bye state rules. There are teachers in there that don't talk appropriately to the children and they don't get in trouble. It is sad that this childcare is not updated with good toys for children to use or play with for age appropriate stuff. The outside needs to be better fixed up like most places are today. There is teachers that constantly let children go bare feet in classrooms and they don't encourage the child to put on his shoes while he could hurt his foot without wearing shoes. I seen a teacher grab a child arm as set them down that way. They let men to do there web sites and let a man in there that is dating one of the lead teachers, which is inappropriate for the children. They have a Assistant Director's husband be a maintenance guy to work there as well, which is weird! They all sit in office playing around as talking most of the time or being on there phones as Facebook, which is dumb for a business! The children eat off the floor as seen it with my eyes as some teachers are to lazy to clean the food up off the floor. Lastly, it is sad that a lead teacher can raise her tone of voice at you in front of all the children too and make the children feel uncomfortable, but again she doesn't get in trouble. I pray that this childcare gets better run right and pray for those children that needs to be better monitored bye people that really knows how to do a great job especially for the infants sake! Working in a childcare facility for 6+ years myself and taking college courses on it I know the rules of the state. Working as a parent I know how to be a great person with taking lots of classes too. Director tells me yeah just being older then some of us doesn't make you better knowledgeable.....ummmm, ok (laughing, yeah, I know day cares as state rules which I follow unlike you or some of the teachers). Being in a medical field I know how to take care of anyone and what I seen at this place I would never let some young person that doesn't know how to take care of infants be a lead teacher. Just because you come all the way here from another state doesn't mean it is ok to work as a lead teacher as your degree you have is not always acceptable to fill that roll. If you were just a teacher assistant in the elementary education at a school where you live as not fully finish your degree doesn't make it ok to fill a spot as a lead teacher that hasn't worked with any infants before. If a person has associates degree as worked in many facilities as took college courses on early education it does qualify a person to get paid more or fill a role to be a lead teacher in a daycare. Read or talk to state officials as sad a director doesn't know her state stuff. It is sad that a director tells you that you did right bye coming to us, then they let you go for no reason!!!! She should be let go of her job as doing what she did. Poor management and feel sorry for the owner as director always talks bad about her. The director also always way to many people to stay as get overtime on the owner, so she has to pay them more. She had way to many people one day in the one year old room due to biting and the children haven't bitten anyone in a long time, but made teachers stay within not being in ratio. Place is a joke and shouldn't get fired for making right choices or caring for children in a respectful right way with the laws! Director is a fake joke as she talks about some of those parents behind there back. The owner needs to be at the daycare facility as spend a whole day to watch these girls and director. Very sad as well I just hit my 90 day mark and they don't wanna pay me for any of my benefits either.

They truly are part of our family. Everything is so clean and well-maintained, and the curriculum is thoughtful and fun, even in the infant room. We LOVE the monthly themes! Ms. Lourdes, Ms. Kali, Ms. Stephanie C, Ms. Stephanie N, and all the teachers are so loving and caring that I can't imagine our lives without them! All good daycares are an investment, but the quality of care I've seen throughout LSP is unmatched and entirely worth it. We are so so thankful to the entire LSP family for welcoming us with open arms and creating an excellent environment for our daughter to grow and thrive.

The school balances structure with fun, offering creative themes and activities that keep children excited to learn. From the beginning, the environment has felt intentional, secure, and thoughtfully designed for kids. Our family enrolled our daughter in August 2025. Before that, she stayed home full-time until age two and was very much a "stage 5 Velcro baby." The transition was emotional at first, especially at drop-off, but the growth we've seen since then has been incredibly encouraging. She now confidently gives hugs goodbye, happily says "bye-bye," and walks into her classroom with ease. She genuinely enjoys school and is happy during pick-up, which gives us peace of mind. There have been a few instances where we needed to remind staff to clean our child's face, hands, or nose after meals or messy play, as well as change her into clean clothes when needed. Parents are asked to provide at least two sets of weather-appropriate spare clothes for this purpose, and on occasion, changes were not made as promptly as we would have preferred. There have also been times when personal items were misplaced. That said, staff consistently communicated with us, made genuine efforts to locate items, and worked to improve. We understand that managing multiple toddlers and their belongings is a common challenge in any preschool setting. What matters to us is that concerns are taken seriously and addressed, which has been our overall experience here. Leadership has been a major strength. Ms. Katelyn, the Director, played a large role in our decision to choose LSP. As parents who were understandably nervous, she spent significant time with us before enrollment, both on the phone and in person, explaining the school's philosophy, operations, safety measures, and procedures. She remains approachable, responsive, and consistently kind. Ms. Lucy, the Assistant Director, is equally welcoming, knowledgeable, and easy to communicate with. Staff shout-outs: Ms. Amanda, a head teacher, is exceptionally friendly, caring, and highly creative. Her warmth and creativity are evident throughout the school. Mr. Daniel is upbeat, professional, and consistently friendly during evening pick-ups. Ms. Alina, another head teacher, is more reserved and has a straightforward, businesslike communication style. Her creativity is visible in school projects and displays. Ms. Niya, our child's current lead teacher, met with us prior to enrollment, gave us a full tour of the school and playground, and offered reassurance during the transition. She is warm, attentive, and a strong educator. Ms. Victoria, Ms. Sabrina, Ms. Jaela, Ms. Wafae, Ms. Nabila, and Ms. Cassie have all been kind, professional, and attentive in their roles. Communication is excellent. Phones are always answered, and messages through the app are returned promptly, usually within the hour. When concerns are raised, leadership responds quickly and respectfully. The school is clean, beautifully decorated, and secure. Drop-off and pick-up are smooth, classroom ratios are followed, and security measures (controlled entry, cameras, and app communication) are strong. Meals and snacks are included, hours are 6:30 AM-6 PM, and nap time is well-structured and age-appropriate. One important note for families is cost. It's expensive. Little Sunshine Playhouse is on the higher end and is priced as a premium program. Overall, our family is very happy with Little Sunshine Playhouse-University City and would confidently recommend it to families seeking a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for their child.

Leadership will move your children around to accommodate state requirements for staffing, so children are moved up before they are ready so new students can be added to the program. We were looking forward to at least hearing their stance on the issue and trying to come to a resolution. Instead, we were contacted by someone completely unrelated to the O'fallon location and they asked for clarification regarding this review. It was then decided we would have a meeting with that person because Gina was still ill. Long story short, our son is no longer enrolled at Kiddie Academy because of the unprofessionalism shown by Chassidy and Lindsey (director and assistant director) and their inability to supervise or even communicate with parents regarding their children. After we requested a refund for the month of November we started getting the run around, even though our son never attended a single day in November. They kept saying they "abide by the state minimum" and I don't know about everyone else here but but when it comes to my children and especially for what they charge I don't expect the minimum anything. If you truly love your children I urge you to think twice before enrolling in Kiddie Academy. Original Review: My youngest son has been attending Kiddie Academy O'fallon for a while now. Today marks the 3rd time in less than 2 months he's gotten bit while in their care. The school refuses to address the problems or give us an action plan as to what is being done about it. When brought to the schools attention their resolution was "well you can always pull your child from the school" Beware: if you don't want your children being bit find somewhere else to send them.
