The Electronic hospital is refusing to come out and fix my 2 year old (4 year extended warranty) warrantied dryer, they state after 2 time looking at it that Electrolux doesnt pay them for warranty diagnosis. Then they now say my problem is I overloaded dryer, yet first visit they said it needed a pulley replaced, they did that and noise never went away. Now here is the real kicker, I bought at Bouchard Pierce as reputation was to stay away from Lowes or Home Depot, yet they want to charge me $160 service call to diagnose and fix warranty. When asked about charge they said I didnt buy extended warranty through them, that I bought it with Electrolux and they wont honor labor part of warranty and its up to Electrolux. Electrolux does not show Bouchard Pierce as a qualified repair shop for Electrolux in Vermont. What a circus. read more

Very poorly run business! Back in its day when it first opened it was absolutely fantastic. If a part was obsolete, the techs were knowledgeable and able to improvise. Simple Example: An indicator bulb no longer available - The tech was able to find a replacement and apply a resistor to match the original specs. Now if the problem hasn't been spoon fed in the "Manual", they are at a total loss and tell you "It can't be repaired" and charge you their diagnostic fee for their ignorance. I even did the homework myself and provided them with a link to what the problem was with my turntable and how it can be repaired. Didn't want to hear it. After all, it might take away from their billable hours. Customer Service is an absolute joke and if I was the owner would be utterly embarrassed to be represented by the rude and obnoxious people who answer the phone or who you have to deal with at the counter. Nancy can't be bothered to answer or even acknowledge questions submitted through their website. Too impacted by the Covid19 virus situation! There is so much we don't know about the virus. Who knew you could get infected through close contact with an e-mail. All in all, this isn't the place that it use to be. If you are going to use COVID as an excuse, use it close down your operation and save face. Your service team isn't doing you any favors. read more

This is such a great outfit! We first used them at least 20 yrs ago when I took some piece of sound equipment to them. They repaired it right there and then and only charged me for a part. Just recently Tom came to fix my leaking fridge. He explained how the problem arose and then fixed it very quickly. Also it forced me to clean the fridge - an extra benefit. Absolutely HORRIBLE service. I was told 2 - 3 weeks for any audio equipment because they were backed up. No problem. After almost 3 months and dealing with several rude people on the phone when I called asking when they would have a chance to look at it, I decided to bring it somewhere else. When I went to pick it up the technician just HAPPEN to have time to look at it before I got there and said that he would have to look for parts. The next day so was told it couldn't be repaired because they don't make the part anymore. So, after I'm out my $40, I brought it across town to Speaking Volumes. This is the 2nd time Electronic Hospital has serviced my Kenmore Elite Dishwasher. They gave it a check up and everything looks good. I asked questions about a filter and the Technician showed me how to take it out and what to look for. Nancy works in the office and oversees scheduling. She was helping me to get my refrigerator and dishwasher serviced. She was extremely patient with my schedule as I was seriously ill. This is my 2nd experience with Electronic Hospital of Williston. As a business owner myself, I realize people get more vocal when they're unhappy so I wanted to add some balance to this thread. I just called EH to schedule an appointment to fix our Samsung French door fridge,(don't buy one of these, they are flawed from the get -go!) The man who answered my call had to put me on hold for a couple minutes but then spent 20 minutes on the phone with me patiently listening to my concerns about the fridge's malfunctioning. When I got done he told me it is a common problem and then UNBELIEVEABLY!! he told me what I could do to try and resolve the issue myself and save $120. He was kind, knowledgeable and may have saved me a bunch of money. We have done business with them on other electronic issues and I have no gripes on any of those accounts either. read more

Wow -I've never needed appliance repair before and in the past two weeks both my newer fridge ice maker broke and my dryer started to wail and screech . Called several folks for help & never got a call back . Called Electronic Hospital & they responded immediately in both cases. Awful experience! Nancy, the owner is very rude and unprofessional. I have a samsung refrigerator that's still under warranty and needed to fix the ice maker. After they cancelled my scheduled appointment I called to see what was the reason and Nancy herself told me I have to call her directly to schedule any appointments rather than going through warranty dept. After simply telling her I have to call warranty dept first she hung up on me so I called again and she kept trying to tell me how I can't make appointments through third party and now refuses to send someone out to fix my refrigerator. I'm still working with Lowe's to figure out what is going to happen with my refrigerator but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, like I said very rude unprofessional, good luck to them that's all I can say. read more

This place is horrible. I had to deal with them through a third party because of a warranty. Some guy came out to my place to assess my appliance situation and then disappeared. I've called them several times over a two week period and nobody could give me an update on the repair of my appliance. The topper for me was that nobody was polite. This is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. The warranty holder of my induction range assigned repairs to them three times. The first was time was frustrating because the person I dealt with was rude and uninformative, but they eventually did the repair. Months later, a second repair was needed and again the warranty holder assigned the repair the EH. Despite numerous calls over a period of months they never showed up to do the repair. The third time the range needed service, they were assigned the repair yet again. They accepted the assignment, but when they had not contacted me after a week to at least schedule the repair, I called. This time, they informed me that they did not work on my type of appliance!? Tom fit us into his schedule the same day I spoke to him and he was able to assess the problem and fix it quickly. Agree completely with the above review. Yesterday I brought in a DVD/VCR combo that all of a sudden stopped working. When I decribed the problem, the clerk told me "It's definitely the power supply.", because it wouldn't come on at all. Today they call and tell me it's the motherboard, and it's irrepairable due to the part not being available. I only paid the $40 fee because the clerk assured me he knew what the problem was. No mention was made of other possibilities. When I asked for a refund based on the clerk's (knowingly or unknowingly) false assurance, I was told "Well there's no way we could know what the problem was". True - but that does not change the fact that the desk clerk assured me it was definitely the power supply, which should have been be easily repairable. The conversation became very circular after that, with the lady on the phone being unable to understand that my problem was not with the unit's repairability, but the false assurance given by her technician. $40 goes a long way towards a new DVD, and now my only recourse is to dispute the charges with the CC company. Brought a broken tv to this store to assess for repair. Was told over phone and when dropped off that it would take about 2 days. 4 business days later I called to ask what the situation was. The person on the phone said it hadn't been looked at and would be in he next one to two days. I explained that I was told 2 days when I dropped it off. The employee was very rude over the phone and offered no explanation. I went to the store to retrieve my tv and get a refund. The pleasant owner explained that they only have a tv repair person there one day a week and that is why it hadn't been looked at. If I had been told this when I dropped it off I wouldn't have been so annoyed with the wait. Customer service very poor. read more

Very sketchy mechanic and business. Poor work ethic. Our t.v. was supposed to be covered under a recall if the problem was one of two things. Per Samsung, we were not supposed to pay for the serviceman to come and look at it, and he was supposed to diagnose the problem to know if it was one of the two problems covered or, if not, whether we wanted to pay for the repair. The mechanic would not tell my husband anything. He just said he needed to bring it back to the shop (35 miles away) to diagnose it and we needed to pay $60 to do so. Very unfriendly and would not even ballpark worst case scenario. Just very sketchy. read more

I have been very satisfied by the in-house technician from Electronic Hospital. He was dispatched by Mitsubishi America to repair my 60" DLP 3-D HDTV for a chip that was under warranty. Mitsubishi Fedxed the part to their office in 3 days and they called me the same day the part arrived to schedule a next-day, in-house repair. I was very pleased with the actual repair and the expertise of Tom to quickly dismantle the back of the TV and get to the crucial part for replacement. He came back a few days later - at no charge - as the part needed an additional fix and got that taken care quickly & graciously. They do not normally accept American Express payments but did accept my request to charge it to my AX card! I called Mitsubishi to let them know that I was very pleased with the service I received and of the performance of their expedited new part. Tom R - It's been over a year but the experience with your company that I wrote on 4/30/2012 was exactly as it happened. Please ask your even tempered employee if he said "Here's your damn money" and threw the $40 on the counter. Because that was exactly what happened. Also, after wasting my time saying you can fix it if you could get any parts needed I was then told verbatim "we don't fix appliances". The estimate charge assumes an estimate is given - no estimate was given, just a "we can't do anything with your machine" and you want payment for that? I did get the machine fixed elsewhere and they had no trouble finding parts, by the way. To sum up: your company's behavior was totally unprofessional and you did not even follow your own policy regarding estimates. You insulted a customer (I happen to be a professional in a service industry myself) and wasted precious time. The fact that you respond with excuses tells me that you have not learned and so my original recommendation for others to stay away from your company stands. read more

My Samsung washer stopped draining suddenly and the Samsung helpline contacted this company for a service call. They called me within 2 hours and had a serviceman out there the next day. My pump drain had failed and he promptly replaced it. Excellent service! read more

My Whirlpool refrigerator was leaking water onto the floor. After having a very bad experience with A&E Factory Service, Best Buy (where I bought the fridge) put me in contact with Electronics Hospital. My experience with them was excellent, just the opposite of the A&E experience. Nancy, who answered the phone, was cordial and understanding. She made an appointment for me at the earliest possible time I could be home. Tom, the owner/technician who made the repair, fixed the problem quickly and treated me with the same friendly attitude. Here is the letter I wrote to Electronic Hospital today: To whom it may concern: I am writing today to express my frustration and dissatisfaction with your company, Electronic Hospital, located in Williston, VT. I had a scheduled repair for my refrigerator with your company. Originally, I was given a window of 12 pm-5pm. I called the company on Monday to see if I could get that period of time narrowed down for work schedule purposes. I was then given the time frame of 2 pm- 5 pm. I called Electronic Hospital this morning to confirm my appointment and ask that the technician call me when they were in route so I could make sure I was there when they arrived. I received a call this morning at 9:50 am from Russ, the technician saying that he would be at my house in 10 minutes. (4 hours prior to the scheduled time). I work 45 minutes from home and asked him if he would be able to come back during my scheduled time. He said he could not guarantee that he would be able to make it back between 2 pm-5 pm. I then called my mother and asked her to go down to my house. She said she could. 30 minutes later, Russ calls to tell me that he is at my house but is wondering what apartment I live in. I told Russ I do not live in an apartment building. I then asked Russ where he was and he said he was on the Club Road in Plattsburgh. (at least 15 minutes from my house) Russ was not at my house. My mother then had to wait for Russ to show up. I contacted Electronic Hospital again to let them know of the mix-up and my concerns were all but dismissed at that point. My mother mentioned to Russ that there was a mix up with the scheduling. His response was "it didn't disrupt his day too much because Plattsburgh wasn't that far away". What about the disruption to my work schedule and to my mothers' day? He then told my mother I would be responsible for a $140 labor bill. (He worked on my fridge for 20 minutes). She called me to discuss this with me and I told her, and she relayed this to Russ, that Whirlpool had indicated to me they would be covering this repair. I then contacted Whirlpool and was faced with a 15 minute wait. In the meantime, I contacted Shelly at Electronic Hospital again who transferred me to Nancy. I explained the situation to Nancy and told her my mother had no way of making the payment and asked her if in fact, I was going to be responsible for the payment of labor, could she send me a bill. I was told no and that if I did not give her a credit card number to hold payment, she would send the technician back into my house to put the old part back in my fridge. I told her that was absolutely ridiculous and I ended up giving her a credit card for payment. I have never been so inconvenienced and have never had my concerns completely dismissed like I did today. In speaking with Whirlpool, it turns out I will be responsible for the labor costs so go ahead and charge my card. However, please know, I will never use your company again nor would I ever recommend your company to anyone I know. I will also make my frustrations and concerns known to those that I know. In one word...pathetic!!! Had an appointment scheduled between 8-12:00. By 1:00 pm they had not showed up or call!!! I called and was told that they would not be coming out because they were overbooked!!! They never call to attempt to reschedule. I was asked a few question regarding the problem and told me that they would order the necessary parts and call me back once they had they to schedule the repair. Two weeks later I had to call them back because they never contacted me. I was told that because I didn't call earlier I would have to start the whole claim process again....are you kidding me?!!!! THEY WERE SUPPOSED YO CALL ME TO SCHEDULE ONCE THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE!!!!! Not only that but the "lady" that answered the phone was super rude and told me that I should find someone else to handle my repair because she didnt like my tone. Seriously? You are rude with a pathetic service and expect people to call you cheering!!!!! Needles to say I cancelled the claim with them and found an other company.
