Chris was an excellent salesman. Courteous, kind, patient, and very knowledgeable. He was not pushy in regards to me making a purchase that day nor did he try to steer me towards one of the more expensive mattresses. He really listened to me and my concerns/wishlist for what I wanted in a mattress. I left without making a purchase, but returned the next day with my fiancé. After asking questions about how each of us sleep and identifying potential barriers to achieving a good night's sleep in our current mattress/bed frame, Chris was able to help us find our PERFECT match. We not only purchased a new mattress, but also two new pillows. I cannot speak highly enough of Chris and his willingness to listen and help us. However, the matching chair wasn't in stock, so they ordered it for me. After waiting a week and a half for the chair to arrive, I finally picked it up, unwrapped it, and to my surprise, it had a completely different pattern! I immediately called the store and sent them pictures. The retailer who assisted me claimed the chair just had a smaller pattern. To clear things up, I went online and found the exact same pattern that matched my sofa and love seat and shared that with them. Instead of resolving the issue, they informed me that all sales are final once the item leaves the store. How was I expected to see that it didn't match until I got it home? They even claimed they called the owner, who reiterated the sales policy. However, they offered to allow me to exchange the chair if I paid a 25% restocking fee. So, for a chair I originally purchased for $399, I'd have to pay $100 just to return it and then buy the correct one for $699. How does that make sense? It's clear to me that this is poor customer service. I had every intention of doing more business with them, but after this experience, I will NEVER step foot in Huntsville Furniture Outlet again. Very disappointing!

And I'm more of a Sears scratch and dent when it comes to appliances and mattress sets, having bought my last mattress set at HH Gregg before it shuttered and that was over 16 years ago. To me the process is simple - you pick a firmness, lay on it and pick the one that's most comfy to you. Not difficult at all! Prior to that I'd bought used trundle beds with a mattress on yes, get this, the classifieds in the HSV Times newspaper. So it's been a while since I went shopping for mattress sets. The staff at Mom's memory care recommended we downsize Momma from a queen bed to a full bed as we moved her to her new, smaller apartment. Always rightly concerned for falls they wanted to give her as much walking room as she needed on her newly freshened up apt! Enter BE - where brother has faithfully purchased mattress sets for the past decade. The showroom was stocked with plenty of mattress sets at various price points with various features and sizes. The salesman (didn't get his name) was so knowledgeable and kind and really helped us downselect based on mom's sleeping patterns and her physical size. I tried out the various options using the paper coverings you see at Doctor's offices while sister and brother worked on pricing. We finally all agreed on one and they offer sheets and mattress. Pads and sheet and mattress protectors too. Sort of a one stop shop except no comforters or headboards. (We went next door to shop for those are Goodwill.) The extra helpful bearded salesman offered brother a substantial loyalty discount and off brother went to retrieve the bed set from their warehouse which I think is maybe on Pratt Avenue. We were on our way to move mom into her new apartment as time was awasting! Who knew bedding technology has advanced so much in 16 years with anti allergen this and that and cooling technologies and whatnot! The salesman walked us through the pros and cons of each and we were able to select the pads and protectors that would fit the bill for sweet momma and in her color palette (teal) and the micro sheets were really soft y'all! We met up at Grandview Gardens and during moving stuff realized (d'uh) momma already had a full sized bed and mattress set and didn't need a new one/downsized one after all! She had a full size bed with a queen headboard-becauase she is a queen! Long story long BE accepted the returned mattress set the same day without issue as far as I know and really impressed me with their knowledge and on hand stock and willingness to provide the best customer service possible. Even though I was hopeful to get Mom's cast off queen mattress (which clearly didn't happen) the shopping experience here was so pleasant I'll probably join my brother on being a regular BE shopper in the future and my back will thank me for it!
