I contacted EV Guys along with three other companies listed in PSE's Recommended Energy Professionals (REP) Directory. After speaking with all of them, I chose EV Guys because of their professionalism, high quality work, customer focused approach, and reasonable pricing. Behrang, the owner, is exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. He presented several design options and walked me through each one in detail -- including panel capacity, breaker selection and layout, installation locations, and cost considerations. He answered all my questions thoroughly and helped me feel confident in my decision. His responsiveness and consideration are outstanding. After the installation, whenever I had questions or needed help, he replied promptly -- even on weekends. He is also an excellent project manager, handling scheduling, accounting, and the permit process smoothly and efficiently. His crew delivered top notch workmanship: precise, clean, and fast. Truly excellent craftsmanship. I have been extremely impressed with this company's work ethic and quality. I strongly recommend EV Guys and will hire them again for future projects.

It's not terrible…read more My car had 10 miles left on it so I desperately needed to get to a supercharger. It is in a paid parking garage. I posted a picture of the going rates below. There are signs everywhere pointing you in the right direction. After you grab your ticket, you turn right, and the superchargers are in the corner, on the right. Surpassingly, a lot of spots were full. There were 10 chargers and about 6 out of the 10 were taken. I saw another review saying that you don't have to pay for parking as long as you leave within 10 minutes. Meanwhile, someone else said you had 15 minutes to leave. I didn't want to risk it so I charged the car for 9 minutes (added about 35 miles to the car), and raced back upstairs. The exit is straight and then to the right. You have to go up a ramp a couple of times before reaching the exit pay station, so be prepared for that. It was exactly 10 minutes when I pulled up to the station. Luckily, it didn't count the seconds and I got to exit for free! The nearest supercharger that isn't in a paid garage is in Ballard and Northgate. I'd recommend driving up there if you're headed north anyway. If you can't make it there then you can stop here for a quick charge to get you there, or pay the parking rate to fully charge.

Although I'm sure there are some exception cases, after deep dive research, I'm 100% convinced that hardwired EVSEs are safer and more stable than just plugging a Level 2 mobile charger into a NEMA 14-50R 250v outlet (as we'd done with the Tesla, because that was the standard in 2018). Andy did a great job communicating with us and then prepared a fairly priced sensible proposal. With Max, their highly experienced journeyman electrician, scheduling and install went smoothly. The work passed its Seattle DCLU electrical inspection. Now two-weeks later everything is working as expected. Note: I also used Puget Sound solar 24 years ago, so I'm a returning customer. There are a lot of people out there installing EV chargers right now, and if you don't have it done correctly you'll be wishing you did. He offered me a matched price on the wall box charging unit that Costco is selling for $499, which is about $200 less than Amazon, and we had the installation done about a week later. We love our EV, and now our house is future-proofed. Max came out and took the time to install it professionally and neatly. Next time we need electrical services will be calling Puget Sound Solar. Thanks Andrew and Max!
