I really do miss live shows and getting a chance to get that feeling of happiness when you go to shows with friends, listen to great live music, and make memories. With the pandemic still very much so at large, we are very limited to these types of experiences, but Insomniac was able to pull this off, while still keeping everyone safe. The only downfall (and quite big IMO), was the wait time to enter the first weekend. We waited over an hour to enter GA, and eventually was asked if we wanted to upgrade to VIP for $50. I wish we were asked this in the beginning, but I wonder if they've been able to fix this problem since then. Tickets are $69.99 during the week, $89.99 Fridays and Saturdays, $79.99 on Sundays. An additional $59.95 to upgrade to VIP (up to 8 people per car) and another $20.00 for the service fee. Yeah, it adds up and it doesn't seem worth it, but if there's 8 of you in the car and split the tab, it isn't too bad. We came through on a Friday night. We opted for the VIP package and bypassed pretty much everyone (that line looked like a thousand miles long, so that alone threw all regrets, doubts and second thoughts out the window!) Bypassing the long line was one thing, but then my passengers' bladders decided to go in sync and in unison all needed a bathroom break BEFORE the drive. The VIP package came in handy once again - they have a separate set of porta-potties for VIP peeps, too! Needless to say, there were no lines there either. So, yeah, off to a good start. I didn't really know what to expect, so I decided not to expect too much. There were a lot of mixed reviews on Yelp (complaints were mostly about the cost) so I kept an open mind. THE VERDICT: Totally WORTH IT. This whole production was well put-together. It was beautifully created with a lot of imagination. The engineering and construction alone were astonishing, how long did it take them to put it all up! And I really liked that they coordinated all the lights' movements with the music coming off the assigned radio station (107.9.) And those souls braving the cold as they entertained us with their dance moves... KUDOS! (I didn't get to see what's in the VIP box but going by how each of my passengers went through it like the Tasmanian Devil, I'm gonna assume whatever was in there was fun!) If this is your thing, here are a few tips: 1) Entry is at Holly and Huntington NOT at the main entrance. If you do end up at the main entrance, they'll reroute you. No worries. 2) You can come through as early as 30 minutes before your scheduled time, but try to be there within that window just for the sake of being considerate. The whole thing is about 45 minutes to an hour, all depending on how slow or fast you go. 3) CLEAN YOUR WINDSHIELDS! I meant to, but I completely forgot. But even with the semi-dirty glass, it was still pretty good. 4) Sunroofs are great! I didn't have one (wouldn't have mattered if I did since I was the one behind the wheel) but I was sorta jealous of the peeps who made full use of it. I imagine that's the best way to experience it. 5) You are allowed to open your windows. Just watch out for fog machines... 6) Take your time and let it all sink in. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it, something cool to do social distancing style. It's an event for all ages and a great excuse to get out of the house more especially during these challenging times. read more

What an awesome drive-thru experience! It was definitely an exciting alternative to the traditional rave. Given the current epidemic and the lockdown, I didn't hesitate when booking tickets for this event. The tickets I purchased were $89.99, as I chose a later time so that it would be a bit darker, and I arrived early (30 minutes prior) last Saturday. The lines weren't too long, but I ended up paying an extra $60 for the VIP upgrade. The VIP upgrade allowed me to essentially skip the wait in line and get a smile box. As I drove to order pickup I was given the smile box (includes a reusable cup/straw, lanyard, light up lollipop, candy, two different bags of popcorn, an electric mile pin, a sticker pack, 2 Fiji waters, and two diffraction glasses), 2 extra diffraction glasses, and 2 light up wands. As far as how the experience goes, I highly recommend you get the diffraction glasses to enhance it. It's definitely a night/day difference and the music actually does synchronize with the lights. Driving with them, though, is not possible (I tried). They say it's a 45 minute to an hour experience, but it's more like 35-40 minutes depending on the speed of the line. The track list is awesome, and I recommend putting the volume all the way up (if you have a good sound system). Of course, the lights on your car must be turned off for the duration of the drive-thru (for obvious reasons). At the end of the short, but sweet drive, you'll be passing the merchandise store and a last set of restrooms before leaving the park. If there is another drive-thru experience (different than this one) by Insomniac in later months, I would definitely sign up as well! Until then, I'll wait and see if Park N' Rave has a good lineup that I'd want to see :). I read another review prior to going that compared this experience with Santa's Speedway Christmas Lights Drive-Thru at Irwindale Speedway, but I don't see how that's plausible considering they are two different types (genres) of experiences catered to two different customer segments. The pandemic has changed so much of our social lives and Electric Mile made me miss pre-covid days so much.. definitely took all of that for granted. The line to enter the Electric Mile took about 1.5hrs for us on a Friday but time passed by fast since there's large screens showing past events and you're spending quality time with whoever you're in the car with. I won't give too much away but each event was honored so well - their radio station synced so well with the visuals! Performers and staff wore masks, bathrooms were cleaned before and after each person used it, there was soap and water to wash your hands, and if you wanted to open the window during the drive, just wear your mask! Music is sync through radio FM and external speakers, It was an experience everyone during this pandemic should experience. If you can order a fast food meal through a drive through, you can definitely enjoy the electric mile. I've miss all the raves so this was a nice homage to the massives throughout the year. My first impression was, "This drive through event looked like it would be different from the others and if it's a Pasquale Rotella event it would be a good one." Amazing drive through music and light show experience. Such a good time and an innovative way to stay connected to good music and good times safely from our vehicles. The event was well organized and experience completely worth it. Insomniac's Electric Mile Fun was completed with the fractal glasses to make the experience unexpected and exciting. I would definitely recommend the VIP experience if not, the a la carte order of the glasses to get the full experience. Definitely recommend for all ages and families to experience the beautiful music, lights and art along the way. The playlist leading into the start of the journey and the synchronized station along with the light show experience was unmatched. Such a cool and beautiful event during the pandemic. Words cannot describe the entire experience. On the one hand, I'm really grateful for events like Electric Mile which gives us the chance to get out of the house and experience some semblance of entertainment and therefore normalcy. On the other hand, these events can cost a pretty penny. I was on the fence for quite a while with Electric Mile. It looked like fun, but I just couldn't justify the price tag. However, this past week I hit a wall in dealing with pandemic fatigue. I needed to get out of the house ASAP! So I bit the bullet and purchased a regular entry ticket to Electric Mile. To try and make the cost less painful, I chose a weekday ticket priced at 79.99. Ugh, so expensive! Then, my teeth clenched in pain as I saw that a 20 dollar service fee was tacked onto the ticket price. Omg, this thing was nearly 100 bucks! And I was only gonna bring 2 other people (from my own household) with me (you can have up to 8 per car for the ticket price). I really wanted to bring some friends to get more bang for my buck but I've been really strict about not mixing households during the pandemic. So I didn't. I have to admit I had some buyer's remorse. But, I was desperate. I needed a distraction from this nightmare pandemic. So I went and I'm glad I did although I do feel that nearly 100 dollars was overpriced. The light displays were really cute. I actually enjoyed the music even more. The staff were all very sweet and friendly. The entire event, from the moment you enter the parking lot to the moment you exit, was super well organized. I didn't wear the diffraction glasses since I was the driver, but I did try them on for a brief moment, and they were a bit too kaleidoscopic for me. I think if I wore them throughout the whole production, I would have gotten a headache. Tips: we went on the first time slot at 5:45 pm. I chose this slot because I wanted to avoid the long lines that other Yelpers mentioned. We arrived about 5:25 and we got in the very short line fairly quickly. I was initially worried it wouldn't be dark enough at the 5:45 time slot , but the staff actually waited until about 5:50 to let us officially in. It was nice and dark by then. So it worked our just fine and we avoided a horrible wait. So if you can, pick the earliest time slot (to avoid a long line) and pick a weekday to go (Wednesdays are cheapest). I read another Yelp review that reminded people to clean their windows and windshield before going. Best advice ever. Thank you! Remember to check into Yelp for one free pair of glasses. In summary, it's a fun thing to do but there's no way around it being expensive. I was impressed with the organization of the event and the friendliness of the staff. Well done! read more

The best part of this experience is you do NOT have to leave the comfort of your car, especially in the middle of this pandemic! They have a station you tune into that has a playlist of rave music, not a bad selection either. The music transitions with the lights which was really cool. Electric Mile has 7 different worlds you go through: insomniac roots, nocturnal wonderland, beyond wonderland, escape, countdown, edc, and thank you road. It takes a total of 45 minutes to 1 hour to go through the whole thing. It is very kid and family friendly. You can add on other nicknacks like food and glasses, but it's not really necessary. People are saying it's not fun without the glasses but that's not entirely true. Buy it at your own discretion, but don't feel pressured. Tip: Come at least 30 minutes before your time slot to avoid long lines and if money is tight try booking during the week instead of the weekend, it's cheaper. Heard great things about this drive thru experience so I folded and bought a ticket. It was quite expensive. Everything came out to $100+. Purchased the ticket for 9pm. Arrived around 8:45p. Cars wrapped around the racetrack. Music and radio is in sync with the event. brought back alot of memories! Experienced 4 of the most popular insomniac events. EDC, Nocturnal, Escape, and countdown. All dancers and staff wore face masks. During the wait, you can purchase food, souvenirs, and use the restroom. This was by far the best drive thru experience I have been to. I highly recommend it. First things first: I was VERY impressed by the amazing performers at this drive-thru! The people who were out there on the track were all so much fun to watch groove together, and the intricate designs of their costumes were really impressive. Also, you should know before you go that it can be challenging to find the correct entrance to the event depending on what exit you take off the freeway. But the directions on the website for Electric Mile are actually really helpful if you follow them thoroughly. The drive went by so quickly -- one minute you're pulling in, and the next you're sailing through the final tunnel of lights. It was 45 minutes long, which is definitely a decent amount of time but it just felt short because you were distracted by all the action! If you can, I would recommend buying a VIP ticket just because it let us skip the line, and we definitely would have missed our time slot (it was a busy Friday night) since we weren't expecting the line to be so long! We also got a fun goodie box with fun items like diffraction glasses and candy. Also, I appreciate an impressive DJ, but I went to this event with my friends who are total Insomniac junkies -- seriously, they've attended every EDC, countdown, Escape -- any Insomniac event they can get tickets to -- and they LOVED this drive-thru, which proves that it's a worthwhile experience ;) I think it was definitely worth it for the price if you have 4-5 people in the car with you to split the cost. It's not something that takes up your entire evening, but it is a fun way to spend a night with some good music and a great light show performance. If I HAD to pick a favorite land, I'd have to say Beyond Wonderland or Escape, just because I really loved the lights and detail in the decorations in these lands. Loved this experience, if you are new to raving or haven't been to one in a long time it's a great way to ease into it. It's the most family friendly event insomniac has ever done. The line can be long so get there early and prepare as much as you can. Bringing your own food & snacks to eat in the car is smart and using the bathroom before getting to the venue is also a good idea. The experience takes about 35-45 mins to go through and is full of cool lights, art installations and performers. You can sync your car radio to the official playlist that they use. Plus I heard they are adding new lights and attractions inside the experience that I didn't get to see! I am really considering going back to check it out and the new playlist :) They do offer a smile box with some goodies and 3D glasses but I didn't get this. I would have given a zero star if I could. First of all, it totally doesn't make sense why the line getting into the entrance was like greater than 1.5 hrs! Then we found out later that they maintained four different lines (1 is the VIP line which u gotta pay 40% more for a bunch of useless snacks and souvenirs). They tried to merge all the lines into one single line closer at the entrance. If during the waiting, you decide to upgrade, then you get to cut through other cars to move to the VIP line; if you are willing to spend more money to buy some trash snacks during waiting, you get to cut through the line and move up front. That's why the entire waiting process is soooooo slow. The rave experience is mediocre. Had the waiting not being so bad, it doesn't hurt to go see. But if you spent $63 to see Speedway racetrack Xmas lights (which there was no waiting in line and the whole experience was a breeze!), then you can pretty much forgo the Electric Mile! Speedway was so much more superior in terms of cost, experience, and time waiting in line! I think those who gave a five-star rating were probably because they had been too bored staying at home during pandemic and they didn't have the positive Speedway experience to compare to. The pricing info for Electric Mile is following: $69.99, $79.99, $89.99, $99.99 depending on the time/date you reserve the spot. You see the same thing. This was such a cool event! It's a little pricey, but IMO, to make it all worth it, I would recommend at least spending $ to get the diffraction glasses. I think they're $5 for two pairs. I could see how it wouldn't be that cool without the glasses. With the glasses, it was amazing! Kind of made you feel like you were in some cool video game. Just be careful if you're the driver! Made me feel like I was actually at a concert and the music was so fun and had me and my boyfriend dancing in the car. It was like a full blown personal rave in your car without getting hot and sweaty... and it was much more than we expected. We arrived at 8:30 pm (our scheduled time was 9), and that was worth it. By the time we got to the actual start of electric mile, it was exactly 9 pm. We got out of there by 10 pm. It's perfectly timed and whoever designed this... just WOW! The dancers were also fun. I guess the only kind of annoying thing was that if you went a little too slow, the staffers would wave you down with their glow sticks to move faster. Otherwise, we really enjoyed this! I'm not a big fan of EDM so technically this is my first event lmao. I liked how interactive the performers were! I had kids in the car and they were smiling and waving back for them! There's a radio station you tune into the synchronizes with the lights as you drive around. Each area is themed after different events and you can see the creativity behind them. I don't listen to EDM very much but it's cool that they included some songs that I'm familiar with to also enjoy. read more

Despite the long lines on a weekend and the somewhat "adult" theme of this light show, it was surprisingly family-friendly. We've all been stuck indoors for nearly a year forgoing our favorite concerts, festivals and raves and here is a chance to get some of that normalcy back and enjoy the lights. That's right, this is a 45 minute drive through light show that showcases all of the gorgeous designs from Electric Daisy Carnival. Despite the long line, it was a a pretty good valueI did not get VIP which is a fast track and you get a goody box). The tickets are per car and you can have anywhere from one to eight people, so it's up to you how want that ticket to stretch. read more

I bought my husband for a Valentine's Day surprise on a Friday night. I splurged and got the VIP car pass. I thought it was worth it because we bypassed the entire line and maybe waited 5 minutes at the most to get in. The VIP package also comes with a party box with glasses, candy, some merchandise, and light up tubes. We were dancing and having a great time. I definitely recommend getting the glasses they are really cool to look through with all the lights. The dancers were really fun and they get into the music with you. My only wish was that music was more customized to the different areas. You use a radio station to get the music in your car, but I've been to another drive thru were you can use a QR code from your phone and the music is more customized. read more

First time doing any drive thru event ever and it was not a good one, the line is long to get in but that's not the reason it wasn't good, it was the whole event itself. The lights weren't that great for the most part and the music was by far the worst part of the event. They give you the radio station when you check in and as we waited in line, we listened to the playlist and it wasn't good and also wasn't very exciting. The music was melodic and at times very boring and 5 mins in decided to listen to our own music, which was the only redeeming part of the whole night. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone but one word of advice if you already got tickets make sure you show up within the 30 mins early they allow you because it is a slow line but I would recommend you not go in the first place. read more

Even once we got scanned the line took another 30-40 min until we were in the mile. But they had big screen projectors and music playing to keep you from getting bored so there was always something to look at and listen to.
