The pandemic has changed so much of our social lives and Electric Mile made me miss pre-covid days so much.. definitely took all of that for granted. The line to enter the Electric Mile took about 1.5hrs for us on a Friday but time passed by fast since there's large screens showing past events and you're spending quality time with whoever you're in the car with. I won't give too much away but each event was honored so well - their radio station synced so well with the visuals! Performers and staff wore masks, bathrooms were cleaned before and after each person used it, there was soap and water to wash your hands, and if you wanted to open the window during the drive, just wear your mask! Overall a great experience and it was nice to be able to do something to reminisce about the good old days :)

Drive thru light festival. Well organized and line wasn't that bad, roughly 15 min. Music is sync through radio FM and external speakers, It was an experience everyone during this pandemic should experience. If you can order a fast food meal through a drive through, you can definitely enjoy the electric mile. I've miss all the raves so this was a nice homage to the massives throughout the year. It wasn't too short, it was nice. I did enjoy the VIP cuz .. cut I'm not about that waiting line, lol. Plus, the goodies (smile box) you get for VIP were a bonus. Amazing BUT on a weekday or you might be in a two hour wait to get in. Totally worth it, family friendly, dog friendly. Great event, thank you to the Insomniac team and Pasquale.
Every wonder what a drive-thru rave experience would be like? You're in luck! Insomniac's Electric Mile is now at the Santa Anita Race Track until January 24, 2021! You will journey through 7 unique fully-immersive drive-thru worlds taking you through Insomniac Roots, Beyond Wonderland, Escape Halloween, EDC, and others in the comfort of your own vehicle. This experience welcomes all ages and both regular admission and VIP tickets allows you to bring up to 8 people along for the Insomniac's Electric Mile Experience. Ordering tickets online only took a couple minutes. We opted into the VIP package ($159.94 plus a $20 transaction fee) which includes expedited entry, Electric Mile Smile Box with 2 Fiji Water bottles, 2 diffraction glasses, Popcornopolis, lapel pin, candy, lanyard, 2 light batons, sticker pack, and a mason jar! If you don't opt into the VIP package, you can always purchase the Smile Box for $24.95, and other souvenirs like t-shirts, 3D magnet, batons, and diffraction glasses. For all the rave fans/music lovers out there, if you are looking for something fun, exciting and of course safe purchase a ticket for your whole family to experience Insomniac's Electric Mile! Start off 2021 with some great music and amazing memories! This was the BEST lights show I have EVER been to. You won't want to miss out!

My first impression was, "This drive through event looked like it would be different from the others and if it's a Pasquale Rotella event it would be a good one." Amazing drive through music and light show experience. Such a good time and an innovative way to stay connected to good music and good times safely from our vehicles. The event was well organized and experience completely worth it. Insomniac's Electric Mile Fun was completed with the fractal glasses to make the experience unexpected and exciting. I would definitely recommend the VIP experience if not, the a la carte order of the glasses to get the full experience. Definitely recommend for all ages and families to experience the beautiful music, lights and art along the way. The playlist leading into the start of the journey and the synchronized station along with the light show experience was unmatched. Such a cool and beautiful event during the pandemic. Words cannot describe the entire experience. It's a must see, and I am purposely not adding any photos of the actual drive through to not kill any sounds and amazing surprises along the drive (it's a must experience for yourself)! The lasting impression? "Thank you Insomniac for hosting this and giving people something good through creative innovation. This was one of the best things that brought us good times, smiles and positive vibes to help us get through these crazy times!"
On the one hand, I'm really grateful for events like Electric Mile which gives us the chance to get out of the house and experience some semblance of entertainment and therefore normalcy. On the other hand, these events can cost a pretty penny. I was on the fence for quite a while with Electric Mile. It looked like fun, but I just couldn't justify the price tag. However, this past week I hit a wall in dealing with pandemic fatigue. I needed to get out of the house ASAP! So I bit the bullet and purchased a regular entry ticket to Electric Mile. To try and make the cost less painful, I chose a weekday ticket priced at 79.99. Ugh, so expensive! Then, my teeth clenched in pain as I saw that a 20 dollar service fee was tacked onto the ticket price. Omg, this thing was nearly 100 bucks! And I was only gonna bring 2 other people (from my own household) with me (you can have up to 8 per car for the ticket price). I really wanted to bring some friends to get more bang for my buck but I've been really strict about not mixing households during the pandemic. So I didn't. I have to admit I had some buyer's remorse. But, I was desperate. I needed a distraction from this nightmare pandemic. So I went and I'm glad I did although I do feel that nearly 100 dollars was overpriced. The light displays were really cute. I actually enjoyed the music even more. The staff were all very sweet and friendly. The entire event, from the moment you enter the parking lot to the moment you exit, was super well organized. I didn't wear the diffraction glasses since I was the driver, but I did try them on for a brief moment, and they were a bit too kaleidoscopic for me. I think if I wore them throughout the whole production, I would have gotten a headache. Tips: we went on the first time slot at 5:45 pm. I chose this slot because I wanted to avoid the long lines that other Yelpers mentioned. We arrived about 5:25 and we got in the very short line fairly quickly. I was initially worried it wouldn't be dark enough at the 5:45 time slot , but the staff actually waited until about 5:50 to let us officially in. It was nice and dark by then. So it worked our just fine and we avoided a horrible wait. So if you can, pick the earliest time slot (to avoid a long line) and pick a weekday to go (Wednesdays are cheapest). I read another Yelp review that reminded people to clean their windows and windshield before going. Best advice ever. Thank you! Remember to check into Yelp for one free pair of glasses. In summary, it's a fun thing to do but there's no way around it being expensive. I was impressed with the organization of the event and the friendliness of the staff. Well done!
The best part of this experience is you do NOT have to leave the comfort of your car, especially in the middle of this pandemic! They have a station you tune into that has a playlist of rave music, not a bad selection either. The music transitions with the lights which was really cool. Electric Mile has 7 different worlds you go through: insomniac roots, nocturnal wonderland, beyond wonderland, escape, countdown, edc, and thank you road. It takes a total of 45 minutes to 1 hour to go through the whole thing. It is very kid and family friendly. You can add on other nicknacks like food and glasses, but it's not really necessary. People are saying it's not fun without the glasses but that's not entirely true. Buy it at your own discretion, but don't feel pressured. Tip: Come at least 30 minutes before your time slot to avoid long lines and if money is tight try booking during the week instead of the weekend, it's cheaper. Idea: We took glow sticks from the Dollar tree with us and it made the experience more rave-like!
We got to the event 30 minutes before our time which literally got us in at our time slot. If you're afraid of covid don't fret. All the precautions are taken care of. Follow their instructions and you're good. I would say it was 40-50 minutes long. The music brought back memories of pre-covid days which I miss way too much. This event is extended again so I suggest you check it out. It's a nice getaway from the bs. * VIP pass is available. Don't see the point but if you can't wait in line, purchase it. * checking in on yelp will give you free diffraction glasses * FM 107.9 is where you tune in for the mile ride * use bathrooms before or after the show * masks stay on when windows are down Thank you staff and performers~
My first drive through event during the pandemic and it made me miss my past raver days!! Electric Mile was much more impressive than I had anticipated. The wait on a Friday night around 8pm was approximately an hour and the event itself was about 45 min. I would definitely recommend purchasing light diffraction glasses (one free pair with yelp check in!). I got the smile box which was much less impressive than the picture online so I personally would NOT recommend it. I am a sucker for souvies so naturally, I purchased one without a second thought. It was a great, smooth experience overall and friendly for all ages!
First things first: I was VERY impressed by the amazing performers at this drive-thru! The people who were out there on the track were all so much fun to watch groove together, and the intricate designs of their costumes were really impressive. Also, you should know before you go that it can be challenging to find the correct entrance to the event depending on what exit you take off the freeway. But the directions on the website for Electric Mile are actually really helpful if you follow them thoroughly. The drive went by so quickly -- one minute you're pulling in, and the next you're sailing through the final tunnel of lights. It was 45 minutes long, which is definitely a decent amount of time but it just felt short because you were distracted by all the action! If you can, I would recommend buying a VIP ticket just because it let us skip the line, and we definitely would have missed our time slot (it was a busy Friday night) since we weren't expecting the line to be so long! We also got a fun goodie box with fun items like diffraction glasses and candy. Also, I appreciate an impressive DJ, but I went to this event with my friends who are total Insomniac junkies -- seriously, they've attended every EDC, countdown, Escape -- any Insomniac event they can get tickets to -- and they LOVED this drive-thru, which proves that it's a worthwhile experience ;) I think it was definitely worth it for the price if you have 4-5 people in the car with you to split the cost. It's not something that takes up your entire evening, but it is a fun way to spend a night with some good music and a great light show performance. If I HAD to pick a favorite land, I'd have to say Beyond Wonderland or Escape, just because I really loved the lights and detail in the decorations in these lands. But it was fun to end the drive-thru experience by "driving through EDC," because it felt fitting.
Loved this experience, if you are new to raving or haven't been to one in a long time it's a great way to ease into it. It's the most family friendly event insomniac has ever done. The line can be long so get there early and prepare as much as you can. Bringing your own food & snacks to eat in the car is smart and using the bathroom before getting to the venue is also a good idea. The experience takes about 35-45 mins to go through and is full of cool lights, art installations and performers. You can sync your car radio to the official playlist that they use. Plus I heard they are adding new lights and attractions inside the experience that I didn't get to see! I am really considering going back to check it out and the new playlist :) They do offer a smile box with some goodies and 3D glasses but I didn't get this. I thought the experience was cool without them.
This was such a cool event! It's a little pricey, but IMO, to make it all worth it, I would recommend at least spending $ to get the diffraction glasses. I think they're $5 for two pairs. I could see how it wouldn't be that cool without the glasses. With the glasses, it was amazing! Kind of made you feel like you were in some cool video game. Just be careful if you're the driver! Made me feel like I was actually at a concert and the music was so fun and had me and my boyfriend dancing in the car. It was like a full blown personal rave in your car without getting hot and sweaty... and it was much more than we expected. We arrived at 8:30 pm (our scheduled time was 9), and that was worth it. By the time we got to the actual start of electric mile, it was exactly 9 pm. We got out of there by 10 pm. It's perfectly timed and whoever designed this... just WOW! The dancers were also fun. I guess the only kind of annoying thing was that if you went a little too slow, the staffers would wave you down with their glow sticks to move faster. Otherwise, we really enjoyed this! If you're looking for a fun pandemic approved activity, this is it.

I really do miss live shows and getting a chance to get that feeling of happiness when you go to shows with friends, listen to great live music, and make memories. With the pandemic still very much so at large, we are very limited to these types of experiences, but Insomniac was able to pull this off, while still keeping everyone safe. The only downfall (and quite big IMO), was the wait time to enter the first weekend. We waited over an hour to enter GA, and eventually was asked if we wanted to upgrade to VIP for $50. I wish we were asked this in the beginning, but I wonder if they've been able to fix this problem since then. Also, if anyone has attended this and knows the link to the official playlist on Spotify, please send it my way! I'd love to bookmark this entire playlist to listen in my car. read more

Tickets are $69.99 during the week, $89.99 Fridays and Saturdays, $79.99 on Sundays. An additional $59.95 to upgrade to VIP (up to 8 people per car) and another $20.00 for the service fee. Yeah, it adds up and it doesn't seem worth it, but if there's 8 of you in the car and split the tab, it isn't too bad. We came through on a Friday night. We opted for the VIP package and bypassed pretty much everyone (that line looked like a thousand miles long, so that alone threw all regrets, doubts and second thoughts out the window!) Bypassing the long line was one thing, but then my passengers' bladders decided to go in sync and in unison all needed a bathroom break BEFORE the drive. The VIP package came in handy once again - they have a separate set of porta-potties for VIP peeps, too! Needless to say, there were no lines there either. So, yeah, off to a good start. I didn't really know what to expect, so I decided not to expect too much. There were a lot of mixed reviews on Yelp (complaints were mostly about the cost) so I kept an open mind. THE VERDICT: Totally WORTH IT. This whole production was well put-together. It was beautifully created with a lot of imagination. The engineering and construction alone were astonishing, how long did it take them to put it all up! And I really liked that they coordinated all the lights' movements with the music coming off the assigned radio station (107.9.) And those souls braving the cold as they entertained us with their dance moves... KUDOS! (I didn't get to see what's in the VIP box but going by how each of my passengers went through it like the Tasmanian Devil, I'm gonna assume whatever was in there was fun!) If this is your thing, here are a few tips: 1) Entry is at Holly and Huntington NOT at the main entrance. If you do end up at the main entrance, they'll reroute you. No worries. 2) You can come through as early as 30 minutes before your scheduled time, but try to be there within that window just for the sake of being considerate. The whole thing is about 45 minutes to an hour, all depending on how slow or fast you go. 3) CLEAN YOUR WINDSHIELDS! I meant to, but I completely forgot. But even with the semi-dirty glass, it was still pretty good. 4) Sunroofs are great! I didn't have one (wouldn't have mattered if I did since I was the one behind the wheel) but I was sorta jealous of the peeps who made full use of it. I imagine that's the best way to experience it. 5) You are allowed to open your windows. Just watch out for fog machines... 6) Take your time and let it all sink in. If you can afford it, I highly recommend it, something cool to do social distancing style. It's an event for all ages and a great excuse to get out of the house more especially during these challenging times. read more

So cool! I've never been to a dance music festival or Rave but my kids made me take them! So glad they convinced me to go. There's not much fun and safe to experience right now in the world, and so this promoter has done an AMZING job. Truly Fun for Whole Family and worth the wait line line to get in...which was kinda long, but after going thru this Electric Mile thing with literally hundreds of light art things at every turn I I understand why it's packed every weekend. Waiting to be expected. Puts to shame all the Xmass light shows we normally goto which seem like they have 25% of the amount of lights this thing has. This must have cost the event people a bundle. So much fun during covid time. The wait to get in was about 30 minutes but for my two and one year old, it was totally worth it! Love the actors that were a part of the show and all the beautiful lights. Super unique and totally worth going. I would have much rather gone to this first than Stranger Things Drive In event. read more

Very cool experience for the pandemic drive thru's - best one so far. Listen to their music - or your own - its a fun get away that will lift your spirits, make you smile, laugh and dance If you're looking for something fun and different to do, what are you waiting for ..... It was alright. Something different to do during this time and an experience you probably never done before. I'm sure kids would love it. Would've been cooler if the lights synced with the music and if they added some lasers or something. The dancers and themes were interesting and kept your attention to anticipate what comes next. Personally I think They should've added more barns/sheds/tunnels to drive through - the one they had was dope. The line was really long as well it took awhile to finally get our ticket scanned. Even once we got scanned the line took another 30-40 min until we were in the mile. But they had big screen projectors and music playing to keep you from getting bored so there was always something to look at and listen to. Overall I'm glad they were able to make use of the property and provide jobs for people during these times. I would say check this out as it may be the last time they ever do it (if COVID ends by next year). read more

Idk it was only two people working where they checked the tickets . I only saw one person come to the help desk the whole time I waited in line
