We were told our father would have one to one care 24 hours a day. NOT TRUE! While the caregivers at this location are outstanding they are constantly understaffed and deal with a range of erratic behaviors from yelling and screaming to hitting and kicking. We witnessed several other patients urinating in the common areas and hallways. Also saw one have a bowel movement and having it not only all over himself but all over the COMMON furniture. When we asked Dena about these things happening we felt we were just brushed off with the excuse " this is memory care". We definitely will NEVER recommend Willowbrook Place. Knowing that several other families felt the same way made our decision to move our father out even easier. This is definitely not the place for gentle sweet elders! Let's just say I haven't had a great experience with home health care until I found Magnolia and Medina, John and Larry. My experience has been above my expectations. They deliver quality home health care. If you think your aide is good, they will get you someone that you think is fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about the last 6 months. My brother and I found ourselves in a crunch when our mother moved out of our parents Denver home to AZ for cancer treatment, leaving 90 year old dad on his own. We rapidly came to realize that dad was falling down, and could not care for himself. I searched for multiple "in-home" assistance firms. Most would not return my calls or provide references. Then I found Terry Ruch of Visiting Angels Denver. Terry quickly put his best staff in place (within a day) and a lot of extra effort into making sure dad was well attended for.
