Top notch law firm with people who care. Thank you for your help. Mr. Stocker immediately…read moreresponded when other attorneys were difficult to get a hold of and lacked compassion.

I had a very unpleasant, unprofessional, and upsetting experience with Henderson Law Group's…read moreparalegal Lori Zander. I contacted Henderson Law Group because I am seeking to find *local* legal help for assistance with closing a family member's estate and creating a will for myself. Lori Zander returned my call promptly, but was rude and belittling when it turned out I was confused whether or not the estate had gone to probate, seemed to find it suspicious that I was seeking a new law firm in Olympia rather than continuing to work with a high-priced attorney in Seattle even after I explained I had relocated to Thurston County, and in general spoke to me with a tone of superiority and disdain. Apologies that I am not as fluent in the law and legal terms as you, Lori, but that's why I'm seeking assistance! I thanked Lori for all of her "help" and was relieved that she seemed to forget that I was also seeking to create a will. No need to discuss any other legal needs with Henderson Law Group after this unpleasant experience! I'll continue seeking local lawyers who don't treat their potential clients with plain condescension. Two stars only because the receptionist I spoke with was friendly and professional, and Lori Zander did return my call promptly.

Ryan's a solid attorney and individual. I really enjoyed working with him on a recent real estate…read moretransaction, and he provided great service a few years ago when my wife and I had our estate plans done. What impresses me the most is how he treats everyone like equals - very friendly and not full of himself, although he really is a powerhouse of an attorney. A few months ago I was planning on selling on of my properties without a realtor, but didn't know where to start. I consider Ryan my go-to attorney after he helped us establish a trust and addressed some old family property issues (which he resolved very quickly). When I met with him about this sale, he gave me a lot of ideas and directions to maximize my position, avoid mistakes, and warned me about a major income tax consequence (capital gains tax for about $50,000) if I didn't sell the property before November 2018. When I had a buyer, neither of us had a realtor. So we had our attorneys prepare and review the contracts and deed, and we agreed to have Ryan's office (Jacobsen Law Office) as escrow. If I would have used a realtor, their commission would have been over $30,000! I paid less than 1/10th of that for Ryan's services and I was able to get the property sold before I lost my capital gains tax exemption in November. Altogether he saved me $80,000, so here I am to publicly thank Ryan for his awesome work! One other thing that stood out. When there was a mixup in communications with the buyer's attorney, Ryan didn't hesitate to take responsibility for it and make it right, even though both attorneys should have acknowledged their mistake. I trust a person who is honest when it is inconvenient. Don't you?

update to the review I left two years ago.....would you believe it, Jacobsen still hasnt completed…read morethe probate and still hasn't made any further contact or responded to myself or the remaining living beneficiaries. Seems pretty off that a person dies 5-years 5-months & 8 days ago and owed nobody a think at the time of their death but somehow the probate is still be open with zero action from the attorney assigned as the personal representative (Ryan Jacobsen) or any indication of forward movement whatsoever towards the probate being completed! Please take my warning and beware that Jacobsen may act professional & caring while you're alive and paying him to create documents for you, but from what our family has experienced, he and his staff will become completely Uncontactable, unavailable/inactive and/or completely missing in action once the beneficiaries left behind are expect him to do the work you paid him to do on your behalf after you're dead!
