The people are very helpful and nice. Can get very crowded. Only one shopping cart per isle. The establishment is nice but the people that shop there can get very rude. Not really the fault of the store. If you sew a lot you will save money here.

The shop is in the basement of her home in Forest City and is jam packed FULL of great fabrics, books, notions, quilty gadgets, rulers, samples, examples, tools, patterns and more. If you can't find it at Schoolhouse, it hasn't been made! She appears in regional quilt shows with her wide array of products and she will ship if you need to call and order. The shop is spacious with rooms of fabrics and goodies throughout. The staff is so enjoyable and welcoming. And if you have to drag your spouse with you, there is comfortable outdoor seating on the covered patio area so they can nap of zone out whilst you're inside overdosing on all the wonder of the beautiful selection of fun stuff.Happy stitching!

I have bought fabric & trim here and had them make many things for me, resulting in beautiful furniture coverings and pillows. They guide you through the process of what fabric is right for what application. They will explain the difference between one grade of fabric vs another grade.
