We just had an excellent dinner at El Tapatio. The salsa was awesome. I generally don't eat it…read morebecause it's way too spicey for me. However this had a great flavor with just a hint of spiciness! My friend really liked the chips as they held up to dipping and didn't break apart. My friend had the Chicken Burrito and Enchilada, with white sauce/queso rice and beans. He said it was very good and he'd definitely come back and try other menu items as well. I had the Chicken Taco and Cheese Enchiladas with White Sauce/Queso, rice and beans. Mine was excellent too! The taco was tasty although a couple pieces of chicken were a bit tough. But the flavor was great. The Cheese Enchiladas with onion were just the way I liked them. Not spicey but flavorful. The rice was very good as were the refiried beans. The servings were a good size and very filling. We had Arnold Palmer's to drink, served in nice mugs that were perfectly blended and our server kept them filled. He was new and did an excellent job! I enjoyed the brightly painted decor and art at the table. We sat at a booth that was comfortable, roomy and private. The music was at a good level. We will definitely be back!

Stopped in on our way through from Dallas to OKC and everything we ordered was fantastic!…read more The nachos could have fed a third world village.... or two NFL offensive linemen. The enchilada plate my wife had became the subject of a hand-smacking episode after several failed attempts at the old "what is that?" trick while attempting to encroach with my own fork. Now, this may sound silly, but the Caldo de Pollo (that's chicken soup for you Dora the Explorer fans) was possibly the best soup ever....and HUGE! Had to get about half of it to go! Yes, you read that correctly. I got a doggie bag for my soup. I'm not cheap nor am I a delicate nibbler when it comes to mealtime. Quite the opposite in fact. I'm what the Vikings would have referred to as "Mongo Num Num" or, loosely translated, "The Great Devourer of all that is edible and some that is not". It was just a lot of soup and good enough to save the rest for later. In fact, we make it a point to stop and grab soup to go whenever we pass through. Anyway, what we had was great, it was a colorful atmosphere with friendly staff. It's strategically located between KFC (which had limited "C" the day we stumbled upon this gem) and Burger King....creepiest mascot ever. But I digress.... A lot of mom and pop Mexican places manage to blend in to the rank and file of random highway exit eateries (regardless of the intensity of the pastel color-scheme). This is also easy to miss if you're not looking for it. I know I'm a stranger but trust me when I say it's worth looking for this place and grabbing a bite. It's a true diamond in the rough.

It was such good food service was so good got my food in one minute has so many options and good…read morefood
