This is one of the two most photographed sculptures in Vitoria (along with El Caminante).
The image is located on the central Eduardo Dato Street and is usually called "The Bullfighter." It is the work of the sculptor Casto Solano who made it in 1992. It was installed in Vitoria in 1994.
The work was created in 1992 for the Spanish Pavilion at the Universal Exposition of Seville, (EXPO 92) and was acquired for its location in Vitoria Gasteiz by its City Council and is made of iron and bronze.
It represents an image of a bullfighter sitting on one of the street benches, tired and in an attitude of reflection. Therefore, some people also called this statue "Reflexion". read more
