If you want to go some 30-40 years back in time and eat some home cooked meal it will probably tickle the spot. The atmosphere is too authentic but it's a man's cave and with the beer it will look bright enough. And the Bravas? I wouldn't come here just for those.

If you're looking for something local & sinful, this place is it. The spuds are golden fried to perfection. However, the accompanying garlic sauce is the hero of the dish that leaves a lingering taste in your mouth for hours on end. Great place to people watch - the old timers behind the counter pulling San Miguel and the endless stream of diners coming through the door.

Bravas are the best in Barcelona! The spicy aoli builds up to the end. Quick service and very nice people!

Best patatas bravas ever! Love the atmosphere. Croquettas are not great and empanadas are nice. Very cheap!

They are known for their Bravas, I would also order the crocketas (croquettes) and bañuelos de backalau.

It's been a decade since I came here for my first Tapas in BCN. This is where I realized there was…read morea lot of my peeps that works there and it's nice to feel at home, lol. This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

For an early dinner by Spanish time, we started with the croquettes. Crip and wonderful. Then the tenderloin which was taste as well, though we should have a sales what is on the top. It seemed like mostly a flavored fat. The tomato with toast was lovely. Soaked with natural tomato juice. The skewered prawns were the best. Get them. And we ended with coconut pudding. It was like a flan with a coconut base. All together fun and delicious!

What a gem! Yes, it's a bit touristy -- but in the fun, festive, "you're on vacation and loving…read morelife" kind of way. Taverna El Glop wraps you up in its warm, lively atmosphere the second you walk in. We were a group of four, and from start to finish, we had an awesome time. The open kitchen is a great touch -- you can watch the chef in action, which adds to the energy and makes the whole experience feel more connected and authentic. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was on point. The paella was rich and delicious -- exactly what we came for. The patatas bravas were crispy, creamy, and gone in seconds, and the shishito peppers were the perfect salty, snacky starter. Of course, we had to get a pitcher of sangria (okay, maybe two), which was fruity, refreshing, and just strong enough to keep things festive. The space itself has this great, rustic charm -- complete with checkered tablecloths and even an old cigarette machine near the bar (haven't seen one of those since I was a kid -- aren't those banned in the U.S. now?). I don't smoke -- smoking sucks -- but it added a bit of unexpected nostalgia and character. Service was excellent. I always make a point to be friendly, ask people their names, and introduce myself -- and that's usually met with warmth. It definitely was here. The staff were quick, kind, and seemed to enjoy the place as much as we did. Personally, I loved it. It's the kind of place you remember -- not because it's fancy or trendy, but because it's fun, flavorful, and full of heart. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

The best paella we had in Barcelona!! Highly recommended…read morethat you try this place. Their paella has a lot of seafood, the taste is flavorful, and the portion is generous. The service is also great. The manager (Aptiom) even allowed us to dine in even without reservation. When we saw the wait list...it is long! MUST TRY THIS AWESOME PLACE! For food quality, service, and ambience i will rate this experience with 4.8.
