The food is ok, but this is a place for older Scandinavian people. In Almunecar is rare to find a Swedish/Danish speaking waiters/owner. We had several courses. The free appetizer was cocked potatoes with dill mayonnaises .The chicken salad was the best one, but the Chinese cabbage was a bit 80´s to us. I had clams, with a sauce of amongst others garlic and dill. At least 1/3 was not opened, so the starter was quite small. The main course, turbot, was very ordinary and the vegetables close to boring: cocked peas, carrots cauliflower and cooked potato with, yes dill. When you can eat great fish at Lute y Jesus almost next door and fantastic meat at Los Geranios some 100 meter from Sabina, there are no reasons to stop at the restaurant, if you´re not Scandinavian speaking and like a native tongue conversation.

She personally comes out to explain the menu to you. They have a fantastic "menu del dia", menu of the day that consists of an appetizer, entree and dessert for 9.95 Euros. Grab a seat outside with a view of the beach and enjoy your utterly fresh fish. The sole was fantastic, grilled to perfection and very fresh. The mackerel was also very good if you like mackerel. It's a saltier more fleshy fish thant the sole. I also had the cod, but I preferred the sole more. All of the fish preparations are very simple so you can really taste the fish that you are eating. Also order the Gambas Pil Pil appetizer to share. The shrimps stewed in garlic and tomato is very flavorful and you must order the bread to eat with this otherwise it will be unbearably salty. As a side note, beware of jellyfish on the beach, they will sting!
