The service was excellent, wait staff was friendly and had huge portions of amazing food! For four 'Mexican flag' entrees (2 were to-go) I paid was just over $50 with a beer and margarita. It was a fantastic experience and I will be coming back. The staff was constantly cleaning and teasing customers, it was a lot of fun for a fair price, I've paid more at McDonald's. I can't wait for breakfast tomorrow so I can finish the leftovers. I haven't had red rice since I was a little girl and the whole experience took me back to my childhood with my best friend, whose cousin used to make the rice for us. I was very happy here. I use to go here frequently but the service has declined. We didn't get any silverware. We asked but eventually had to get it ourselves from the service station. I ordered Fajitas but didn't get tortillas. My husband order the El Tapatio bowel which was watered down in bean juice, it didn't have cheese and it was a soggy mess. Our server took our order, plopped our food down and then sat down on the other side or the room. We flagged down another server who got my tortillas, but she left right away...my husband could eat his, it was awful. Our original server never came back. We didn't get any more water. I had to get my own to-go container. The bill was quickly plopped on the table. Server didn't ask us how our meal was or if we needed anything else. It wasn't busy. There were multiple servers either sitting or carrying on with each other. It use to be a favorite place for us to go as a couple. My food was ok but my husband was miserable. Time to give an updated review for this establishment. I love how my party was seated immediately, chips and fresh salsa followed very shortly along with our drink order. The salsa is very mild, but nice and thick with a rich color (you know they're not watering it down between batches). I would highly recommend the carnita street tacos. Four large tacos with warm corn tortillas, topped with cilantro onions and fresh avocado. Served with limes and their homemade hot sauce for dipping. Tasted just as good, maybe even better, than some of the street tacos I've gotten from food trucks in multiple different states. This place is a gem! read more

Went thru the drivethru, ordered 2 chimis, 3 beef tacos with a side of the white cheese sauce. Also a cheese only quesadilla. I get home (20 min drive mind you) and a chimichanga is missing, the cheese sauce is missing as well. I called and spoke with some girl who then had some man take the phone from her. He says, very rudely, "she didnt even charge you for the chimi, if you want it you gotta pay for it" Their receipts have no prices on them so you dont even know how much they charged for each item. I asked him about the cheese sauce and he says, "come pick it up and we'll give it to you for free". For free? its on my receipt and he says it was $3.75, so I already paid for it! I asked him very politely, "how hard is it to double check an order, really?" Again, rude reply "you can just tell them next time you come by and they will give it to you for free". This dude is clueless. Sir, your correct response should have been "we are sorry we made a mistake on your order, if you would like to come back, we will have the cheese sauce and a fresh chimi waiting for you". Had I got this response, I would have been a customer for life. What I got was a ticked off preteen who wouldn't eat her soft tacos, and me and my wife went hungry that evening only getting half a chimi! Love this restaurant and the staff! They are like family! Super nice and welcoming! The food is always delicious and made fresh! As far as the other review not receiving the check, you may walk up to the podium and cash out. They do not ring you out and then come back to your table with the receipt for you to sign. I went on lunch with a few of my buddies during our trucking school break. We went in the waiter insulted me calling me a child. I'm 20 by the way. But its whatever I didn't care too much about the jokes. We ordered our food and I got the chicken cheese and rice. It looked good and tasted good but I notice something black that looked like a pepper in the food as well. It was two cockroaches in my plate dead, which means they cooked it in and didn't care. Be very aware of your bill. I was charged an additional 8.00 and when I questioned it they said their drive thru prices are different than their dine-in thus making a large cheese 10.50 vs the 5.50 on the menu and the 21.99 fajitas 23.99.
