I stopped by this El Super market last night to get some dessert and cake. This supermarket was on the way where we were going so it was convenient. We found parking easily since it's in a plaza with a decent size parking lot. When I walked inside, the bakery and cakes area was on the left side next to the self checkout. I found what I wanted, I got the fruit tarts and a slice of red velvet cake. I used the self checkout and the process was quick. read more

The store is located in a large plaza shopping center. Large self park parking lot, but hard to find parking. I usually like going on Wednesdays because that's when the fruits and vegetables are mainly on sale. Great deals. They have a good amount of variety. I like their cheese and deli meat area. The ladies are always attentive and helpful. The store is has always been clean and most of the time, there is always someone cleaning. They usually keep the aisles fully stock. read more

El super Markets in san fernando is always well stocked and has great deals. There is always a team member of the store stocking up the produce. The prices are affordable and you get to find everything you need in this store. If help is needed the staff makes you feel important and go out of their was to assist. This store makes you feel welcomed and has a very good ambience. The only down fall is plan on standing and waiting in the line to pay for a while. Those lines are never low. even the self check out. This place has changed. The security guard wouldn't allow me and a few customers to get in the store, he said the store was closed when the time posted on the door and websites say, open from 7:00am to 10:00pm. I was there about 10 minutes before closing. The hours should change to 7:00am to 9:50 pm if this is how the store is operating. I will be complaining to the better business bureau. The security guard cannot close the doors when it's not 10:00pm. I would like for the Manager or upper management to take a look at the cameras. 1/6/26 at 9:50pm. I won't go back to this lousy market. My friend and I went in just quickly for 2 items, one of them being a small milk for the week. Since we didn't need it right away, it stayed in the fridge for the next couple of days. When my friend did open it, it was sour. She was going to be busy, so I offered to take it to exchange it this past Saturday morning. I was directed to a manager, who after going back and forth to several registers and who knows what else, asked me to wait another minute. He then called one of the cashiers over to tell me it could not be exchanged because it had been "too long", and it is a dairy item. Ridiculous! Not only is the guy a wimp. asking some young girl to do his dirty work, but bad customer service because it was a measly 1.99 carton. He would rather steal from 2 old ladies then provide a good experience so that we might be willing to return. The market was paid for the carton and all the other groceries in it. Restroom was super super filthy. Asked one of the employee if they can check to see if someone can clean it. I was ignored by her.

I don't like to give bad reviews. But I was asked to review El Super so.... I'm not going to address the food, service etc. I'm 80 years old and I asked if someone would help me out to my car. Cashier said he would get someone to help. Security came, just randomly, and Cashier requested this man to help me to my car and the man said he would help. After my transaction I asked the Cashier to call for the security man. The man came to the register and he told the cashier that the Manager told him he not, under any circumstances, allowed to leave the store. Cashier said no one was going to help me. A MARKET THAT DOESN'T HELP CUSTOMERS!!! I never heard of this. Not feeling well I pushed my cart to my car. The parking lot was full of large potholes, the cart's wheel got caught in one and I was not strong enough to pull it out. The cart fell on top of me. No one came to help me get up. My legs were scraped by the asphalt, my back was immediately in pain and my neck, the same. I was injured and I was so embarrassed!!! I don't even remember how I was able to get up. Plus my groceries needed to be put back in the bags. I finally was in the car but in no condition to drive. Sorry about the long story but that's what happened. Manager needs to change some policies. It's Sunday afternoon the lines are long, and with 6 people in front of me , the girl at register closes the line. Everyone is left scrambling to find a new line to join. I go self check out , and when I start ringing up , the machine , says cash only? Third time I get in line, now there are 10 people in front of me. Why are there no managers backfilling the registers to keep the lines moving. This store is centrally located in San Fernando . Horrible customer service. Mercedes front end supervisor was super rude. She walked away from the the register on 4 occasions with no explanation had me waiting there until I told her I had to leave if she could please finish checking me out. Her response was " this is how I work I need to come back and forth" I said I understand but I'm also a customer and would appreciate if you would check me out. I told her that's no way to talk to a customer if she's rude customers will stop coming she said she didn't care she couldn't just go work somewhere else. My name is Brianna Salazar and I just moved to the area 2 months ago , I was very excited to shop at this store but I can't deal with the workers anymore Absolutely rude services at the meat dept. I finally called the store today and expressed how terrible I was treated by Maria Rivera at the meat department , she is such a horrible person to deal with , the general manager "IVETH" wasn't available so I spoke to the meat department manager , he was very apologetic about Maria's behavior but he told me that was the way she talk to people , this is unacceptable if Maria Rivera can't control her temper she shouldn't work in customer service! It looks to me like the meat department manager have strong preference for this worker , Maria Rivera acts like she own the store not just mistreating customers but I also witnessed how she treat the other lady that work with her ( blond hair lady) I would consider suing this place in a heartbeat if I was a worker. Horrible customer service. There machine for self checkout did not have funds to provide my cash back. So I asked an employee if she could assist. She said she would tell the manager when the manager came over she overlooks me and start raising her voice at her employee for not having an out of order sign on the machine. I asked if she can help me with my cash back And she tells me I shouldn't of use that machine if it was broken. I let her know it worked perfectly fine with my transaction however, did not provide the cash back and there was no sign on the machine for me to know if it was working or not. She then told me I need to wait two hours to get my cash back instead of just walking over to another register to give it to me.
