My favorite ingredients in the whole wide world together. The dressing is very light so it doesn't get in the way of the main event. The shrimp is plump juicy perfectly seasoned. Perfect for my family! We really like their chips and salsa. These go fast! I don't have much experience with their whole menu because I'm a creature of habit. I always get the beef enchiladas with green sauce (verde). The beans and rice that come on the side are pretty good. I know that other family members like their tacos and burritos. Margaritas are a little too sweet for me, but maybe my taste is changing. I did get a buzz off half of one. Uh oh! lol Servers have always been so nice and respectful. Our food comes out fast and hot. That's huge in my book! Overall, we're happy customers and will keep coming back!

While our waiter was kind and responsive I had to flag him down at least 3 times. This was especially frustrating when he was hanging with his colleagues behind the bar chit chatting. Totally annoying. Because... The food is off the charts great. We were a party of 5. We all ordered everything different. And shared. And every bite was amazing. These were the best tamales I've tasted in about 30 years. Quesadillas? Huge. Delicious. Beef Arbol? Shockingly excellent. My gosh. This was the best tasting authentic Mexican food I've had in awhile. I cannot wait to come back!

I knew I was in for a treat when my friend from El Paso described Cocina Mi Familia as "legit."…read more This was a five star experience through and through. I ordered two carnitas tacos and one lengua taco all of which were on point! The meat was tender and flavorful with a green and a red hot sauce served on the side that added just the right amount of heat and a nice added boost of flavor. They were served with onion and cilantro true to the street taco experiences I grew up with in Tucson. The rice was fresh - none of those surprise "crispy" grains that signal rice that has either been sitting out or reheated. The refried beans were fantastic and also reminded me of home. Even the horchata was amazing. Although the food was a standout what struck me most was the cleanliness of the restaurant. Clean tables, floors, and bathrooms all signal that this restaurant cares about details. Even the hot sauce bottles (which I am used to seeing cakes with old drips and drops) were absolutely spotless. I truly believe that things like this matter and suggest that the kitchen is also in good shape. Tye menu was a bit large and could be somewhat overwhelming so much so that I didn't bother to read everything. Besides - I already knew what I wanted. Service was friendly, prompt, and accurate. This place is an absolute MUST for when I return to Sheboygan and it receives two enthusiastic thumbs up from both me and my friend from El Paso - and both of us are experts on good Mexican food.

The chicken meat is just that, plain bland chicken. It makes the tacos or flautas very bland and blah. The other people in my group had fajitas which were seasoned and really good. So here's a review for you to read from a real person…read more This place really sucks. We come in after like 10 or 20 minutes after breakfast "stopped" according to the owner. We were the only two people there we wanted ti order breakfast and the owners is like "oh, closed the kitchen down for breakfast". Granted this place is small and We look back in the kitchen there's like nobody there and it's a very small kitchen. So we are like "OK dude I guess we'll get lunch". Kind of scratching her heads being like all you had do is open up the fridge to make breakfast man. We are the ONLY people here". We order two sandwiches and when they come out, they are probably some of the worst sandwiches we've ever had in our lives. Bland no seasoning the bread/ bun is falling apart and not toasted. Seriously this is something my nine year-old daughter could make better in my kitchen at 10 PM after her bedtime. This place sucks. Do not go here if you want quality food. Because this place does not deliver quality food. And the staff is quite rude. Yeah, just a really bad overall experience that's way way way way way overpriced. Have a nice day Devour! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and asked if we would be dining in. Shortly after being seated chips and salsa, the staple of American Mexican cuisine, was brought to our table. The salsa had a pasty appearance, and was very tasty and quickly devoured. I ordered the Mexican Taco Dinner; my wife ordered the Chicken Flauta Dinner with a Mexican Tamale on the side. I like to consider myself a street taco connoisseur of sorts, and these Mexican Tacos were some of the best, if not THE best, I have ever had. My wife said the tamale was the best she has ever eaten. The flautas were also excellent and she would order them again. The atmosphere is simple and inviting. The staff is warm and welcoming. We will absolutely sing their praises to friends and family.
