Appearantly they no longer accept orders from ChowNow, they are unsure what happened. Offered no apology or explanation on why I got charged from that system if they no longer work with them. Employee asks what would I like to order?!!! I don't know how about my money fo the other order. I walked out angry. If there website leads me to order from ChowNow it is on them to update their site. It was going to be my first time trying there food, looked forward to a mole burrito but went elsewhere instead. I ordered the super Carne Asada burrito to my amazement it was the best burrito I've ever had. In particular, the steak was so tender and flavorful you can even taste the flame broil of the meat. The rice and beans were food quality as it didn't taste like cheap old rice and beans. It seemed that everything was fresh. The tortilla was nice and soft. Every bite of my burrito was flavorful and juicy. The super burrito came with fresh guacamole and sour cream in the burrito. It made it extra tasty. I usually pump gas Olympian across the street from this restaurant. One day, my lunch time around 11:30am, I decided to try their tacos and mannn it's fcuking BOMB!!! It's tender and crispy steak!!! Wow! Just wow. This place has molcajete and that's rare to find around the bay. We got that sling with fish with grilled onions. Both were phenomenal choices! This lovely establishment has the most quaint and beautiful restaurant. Such a hidden gem that we were so lucky to be recommended to by my mom's friend. We brought our aunt who loves Chili Rellenos! She comes back to the states just to have Mexican food, since there is none in Taiwan. She said it was one of the best she's ever had. Our family was in awe of all the delicious food and generous portions that came. Everything we ordered was delicious! When confronted about his off leashed dogs running up to ours, he told us not to yell at him, tried to get his dog to attack ours, and then flipped us off as he walked away without leashing his dogs. Worst Mexican meal I have ever had. : ( My friend and I waited for 10 minutes and then I went into the restaurant to ask server to wait on us. It appeared the restaurant was understaffed. We started with chips and guacamole. Both the chips and guac were bland. The chips had no salt and tasted like cardboard. We then ordered fajitas...mine was beef and my friend's was chicken. Sorry I didn't order the chicken as the beef...which was supposed to be steak...appeared to be a round steak cut into small pieces. It was grisly, dry and tough to chew and sauteed in some sort of tomato-based sauce. I have never had fajitas served like that. The side plates of beans and rice arrived lukewarm. And again, no seasoning on either. To top it off, we spent $35 each without alcohol...way overpriced as far as I am concerned. It was also dark on the sidewalk and it wasn't until we were about finished that they turned on the floodlights to light up our food. Tiny votives would have been a nice touch. Great food. Fresh. Tasty. Delicious. Pro: Food is authentic and they give plenty of it. Con: While the food is great the service isn't great. Waiter has no grace and doesn't provide a welcoming environment. The bus boys or dishwasher dry the utensils by hand on the dining area and slam them back into the utensil holders loud as though clanging metal is pleasant to hear for 15 minutes while you're eating. We were able to find parking out front right away and noticed so many people were streaming into the restaurant on a Saturday evening at dinner time. Thankfully we had reservations. The restaurant has a bar area and a spacious dining room. The atmosphere was very lively and it seemed like everyone was having a great time! There were large and small groups of families and friends on the night of our visit. The menu contains all the usual dishes one typically sees at a Mexican restaurant but it also had a good selection of seafood dishes, especially ceviche, mariscada (mixed seafood platter) and the molcajete. Their mole is also well made. I ordered a carnitas taco and chicken enchilada and was able to sample the molcajete and mole. Everything was fresh, flavorful, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the salsa that came with the chips. There were no complaints from anyone in our group; we all had high praise for the food, service and overall experience. Service was on point and delivered with many smiles. The wait staff was hustling! I honestly felt like I could have been at a restaurant in Mexico while dining here. The dishes seemed to be more authentic than most places I've been to that cater to American palates. I cannot wait to return to try some of their other dishes. Parking is fairly easy to find nearby. It has many options of the "mariscos" variety including octopus (pulpo), fish filets, scallops and shrimp, and ceviche. You can order a steaming hot molcajete served in the traditional lava bowl. The hubs is a big fan of the pulpo and the shrimp Diablo style. Personally, I'm all in on the slow cooked chile Colorado. But it's the vibe here that makes it a favorite. Family owned, you'll be treated like a member of the family. We'd been here twice and it was enough for the owner to remember our drinks and get them going. Think, "Norm!" I love it. They also have a birthday spectacle with music and lights for those that choose to celebrate their special day here. Nice ambiance. Have noticed this place before but never went in. Decided to come here with a group of guy friends for a birthday dinner. This place was hopping on a Friday evening for dinner even with the coronavirus scare. They even had strobe lights and recorded birthday songs playing a few times for some other tables' birthday celebrations. Service was fast and friendly. The guy I think was the manager was kinda forcing the margaritas so we ended up getting 2 pitchers. They were legit because they were definitely not watered down. We got the mango and lime ones. Both were good but a little pricey although each pitcher poured out to 7-8 glasses. The food menu is not just your typical basic burritos, tacos and fajitas. They had a lot of specialty entrees. We were overwhelmed by the amount of choices so we ended up having the manager choose a nice variety of choices for us that he said was representative of the best and most popular dishes.
