Papas Bravas - nicely served with two dipping sauces, one a little spicy, and the other a garlic sauce. Meatballs with Mozzarella and Tomato Sauce. This was served almost as a soup, with bread to dip in the sauce, or in our case we balanced the meatballs, cheese, and sauce on it. Cacio e Pepe - nice and cheesy served with fresh pappardelle. I liked the thicker noodles to soak up the tasty sauce. I noticed the table fighting over sharing this one, which is always a good sign. Carbonara - definitely made correctly here with egg yolk, if you are fan of classic carbonara, you'll like theirs. Served with thick fresh spaghetti noodles. Raviolo with Mushroom, Truffle, Parmesan, cream, and sausage. You can put this dish right next to anything you will eat in Spain (including those having Michelin stars) and it will hold its own. It's that good. Please do not miss this dish. If I'm ever back in Barcelona, I will return for this dish and to try other things on the menu.

Being new to espresso making at home I fully understand the 1:2 ratio in a specific amount of time for making espresso. I took their advice and went with another bean selection. My iced cafe latte was for take away and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. One thing to note for any Americans that expect sweetener, there is none here. We were served by a friendly couple, Argentinian transplants both, who chatted with us about jazz and idioms. I felt bad for the woman who brought us our empanadas, because she dropped the tray on the way to the table and exactly HALF of each of the three empanadas we ordered fell on the floor, so she had to bring us three new ones in addition to the halves we got to eat. (I did offer to eat the ones that fell, because hey, I do that in my house, but she just gave me a disgusted look.) My favorite empanadas were the espinaca (spinach, goat cheese, and nut) and the atun (tuna, onion, bechamel). They really stood out for the flakiness and lightness of their pastry crust.
